We exist to display and declare the good news of Jesus for the glory of God and the joy of all people.
Covenant Grace Church, Menifee
Who is this Jesus who ascended on high? He is our High Priest, a high priest who sympathizes with us (having been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Whatever painful path you are on, Jesus has already been there. He is not only a High Priest who sympathizes with you, but also is one who can help you. And what kind of help does he offer? Mercy (forgiveness) and Grace to help in our time of need. Let us then with confidence draw near to Jesus, whether with our sin or our suffering. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on June 1, 2025.
If we trust in Jesus, He is not ashamed of us and He will not be ashamed of us when He comes in His glory. Think about the glory to come and don't be ashamed to speak His name. Remember, just as for Jesus the cross came first, then the crown, so too for us, we must take up our cross daily knowing that glory is coming. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on May 25, 2025.
Who is this Jesus? Jesus is the Maker of heaven and earth and the Provider for His hungry creation. He is the Lord of Provision. We live in a hungry world where ultimately no earthly thing can satisfy. But in the midst of our exhaustion, Jesus welcomes us, speaks to us of the Kingdom of God and bring wholeness, ultimately giving us Himself on whom we can be fully satisfied. This message was preached by Pastor Josh White on May 18, 2025.
Jesus sent His disciples out to preach the kingdom and to give a preview of the kingdom. What was needed was the words of Christ and the power of Christ. The same holds true for us today. Jesus has given us permission and power to share the good news of the Gospel. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on May 11, 2025.
This is the tale of two daughters, not a work of fiction but a true story. There are parallels: one was 12 years old the other lived through 12 years of pain and misery; both were sick and both were made well by Jesus. What they experienced in their physical healings was a real but temporal picture of what Jesus ultimately came to do. Jesus is the only One who can cleanse us from our sin and give us new life in Him forever. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on May 4, 2025.
Jesus's life provokes questions and those questions demand answers. Who is this man who sleeps peacefully in the midst of a violent storm? What kind of man can tune out the sound of crashing waves but hears the cries of his people? That rebukes creation and it obeys? Who is this man whose presence alone strikes fear in a legion of demons and who can heal a man tormented by evil spirits with his words? This man is Jesus, Son of the Most High God. Are you trusting in this Jesus? This message was preached by Pastor John Jackson on April 27, 2025.
Christ the Lord is risen today. Hallelujah! Remember, the resurrection of Jesus is important; the resurrection of Jesus happened, and guess what? We, believers in Jesus, are next! This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on April 20, 2025.
Why is the death of Jesus Christ so important to human history? It was necessary in order for God through Christ to reverse the curse for sin incurred by Adam & Eve in the garden. Jesus is the promised seed from Genesis 3 and the only One who could pay the debt of our sin. His sacrifice enables us to draw near to God and have access through His blood. This message was preached by Pastor Gabriel Medina on April 18, 2025.
There will be those who hear the message of Jesus, but do not keep hearing, and there will be those who hear, hold fast, share and obey. Oh that God would give us ears to hear the message of Jesus, to hold fast to Him and to bear fruit. This message was preached by Gabriel Medina on April 13, 2025.
He or she who has been forgiven much loves much as the woman in Luke 7 teaches us. Our godly deeds are the fruit of forgiveness not the source of our forgiveness. We are changed by who we love not merely by what we know and our assurance of our canceled debt produces a life of love and service to God and one another. This message was preached by Erick Cobb on April 6, 2025.
How does Jesus answer the honest doubts of John the Baptist versus the hardened skepticism of that unbelieving generation? He gives reasons to believe and also assurance of faith to John and then confronts the dishonest skepticism of the unbelieving Pharisees. For those who trust Christ, we are saved by who our faith is in not by how much faith we have. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on March 30, 2025.
Jesus' miracles give us a preview of His kingdom. When He heals the centurion's servant we see the authority of Jesus and when He heals the widow's dead son we witness His compassion. The call to us is to put our faith in Jesus' authority and to put our faith in His compassion as well. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on March 23, 2025.
How should we treat brothers and sisters in Christ when they are struggling with sin, when they are failing? God tells us to be rich in mercy as He is rich in mercy toward us. Every time we see someone else's sin, it is an opportunity to reflect on our own and to then respond in gentleness, not judging, not condemning but forgiving and giving. If we are blind to our own need for God's mercy, we will not be able to give mercy to others, but if we are going to be like our heavenly Father we will be rich in mercy. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on March 16, 2025.
How should the citizens of the Kingdom of God treat the citizens of the kingdom of this world? Who should we love? How should we love? Why should we love the way God calls us to love? This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on March 2, 2025.
Who are the blessed ones, the happy ones? Who are those who are destined for woe? Jesus answer might surprise you. He says blessed, happy, are those who are poor, hungry, weeping and who are hated for His sake. At the same time, he says woe to those who are rich, full, laughing and popular. He came to preach good news and to take all the woes that we might receive all the blessings of His kingdom. At His resurrection was His great reversal and at His second coming will be ours. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on March 2, 2025.
Jesus has established Himself as an authoritative teacher who clearly proclaimed Himself to be the promised Messiah. Now He transitions to ministering to a multitude, but first–through prayer–chooses His 12 disciples to help Him carry on His ministry.
Jesus, the Son of Man, is Lord of the Sabbath, but the religious leaders of the day were intent on accusing Jesus of violating of their extra-biblical rules for the Sabbath keeping. Jesus through His actions wanted people to know that legalism is not the gospel. Only in Christ and in His finished work on the cross will we find our true Sabbath rest.
Why did Jesus feast with tax collectors and sinners? In His own words, "I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance." Jesus did not come to put a patch on our manmade religion. He came to be our whole righteousness. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on February 9, 2025.
Jesus's miracles are a foretaste of the kingdom of God, but they are also signs of His authority. He has authority over creation, authority over disease, and authority to forgive sin which was sealed on the cross. His miracles revealed His holiness, His compassion and His pardon. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on February 2, 2025.
Jesus began His ministry in Galilee following His temptation in the wilderness. He preached the Kingdom of God. He gave us a preview of the kingdom through His miracles. And Jesus announced the way into the kingdom, through grace and grace alone. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on January 26, 2024.
Jesus was tempted in all things as we are yet without sin. In this passage we see the Holy Spirit leading Him into the wilderness for a time of testing, to do battle with the enemy of our soul. See how Jesus overcame Satan's temptation to doubt God's love and care, to take the crown without the cross, and to abuse God's promises. And discover the implication for our lives today as He proved Himself to be our Christus Victor. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on January 19, 2024.

This passage provides the testimony of Simeon and Anna as Jesus is brought to the temple by Mary & Joseph. Jesus, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to God's people Israel, would bring consolation for those who receive Him and and division because of those who reject Him. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on December 29, 2024.
The Christmas story is worth pondering. The story of Jesus birth is surprisingly political, Jesus is surprisingly humble and His kingdom is surprisingly good news. Let's respond by coming to see Jesus, to ponder Jesus born and laid in a manger, and let's join the angels in praise of the newborn King. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on December 22, 2024.
Are you in need of courage, the kind of courage grace gives? Mary was in need of this grace when she found out she was to give birth to the Son of God. This grace taught her that God is faithful, that God is with her and that God is for her. Just as for Mary our faithful God is with us and for us to provide the grace-filled courage we need today. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on December 15, 2024.
God's faithful people had to wait for Jesus's first advent. They sometimes doubted, but always inherited the promises of God. In like manner, we wait, sometimes doubt, but will inherit God's promise of Jesus's second advent because we have a covenant keeping God. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on December 8, 2024.
Christianity is a uniquely historical faith, rooted in real historical events, and that's is critically important to the message of the Gospel. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on November 17, 2024.

Jesus taught that our visible love for each other in the church will lead others to trust in him (John 13:35 w/ John 17:23). But the reality is that we will and have sinned against and hurt each other. So we need to be equipped to make peace and forgive each other. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on November 17, 2024.
In Paul's letters, he names 36 co-laborers, a family of friends on mission. All good friendships are an echo of Jesus's friendship to us and a taste of Christ, the greatest Friend. Let His love motivate us to develop deep relationships with God's people and invite unbelievers into the community of faith. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on November 10, 2024.
Prayer is a call on every believer's life, and God has already initiated the conversation with us in His word. Our Father wants to commune with us. May we come to him earnestly, with thanksgiving, seeking His wisdom and may our conversations with God lead us to conversations with others, full of grace and seasoned with salt. This message was preached by Pastor John Jackson on November 3, 2024.
"Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him" (Proverbs 30:5). God's word is infallible; it has no errors and cannot err. Therefore it is our sufficient authority to be complete and completely equipped for life and ministry. It is powerful enough to make us who we need to be for such a time as this. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on October 27, 2024.
in the letter to Philemon we see how the Gospel powerfully subverted the Roman institution of slavery. Through the changed life of Onesimus the slave and Philemon his master Paul shows how the Gospel made Onesimus a son, a friend, a brother in Christ. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on October 20, 2024.
Work is a good gift of God that has been frustrated by sin, but redeemed by Christ. We are free to serve our earthly masters when we see that it is a way to serve our true heavenly Master Jesus and provides an opportunity to love and serve our neighbor. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on October 13, 2024.
Children are not an inconvenience but a blessing. And parenting is not a formula nor has it ever been done without sin, but Christ can and will redeem your parenting (1 Peter 1:18). Remember, parenting is discipleship. As you receive gospel love from the Father, give it to your kids. "My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways" (Proverbs 23:26). This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on October 6, 2024.

If Christ is in you what should you wear ("put on")? We don't change ("put off") by what we hate but by what we love. A Christian is a person loved by God: chosen, holy, beloved. This is what fuels our change individually and in community. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on September 22, 2024.

How do we defend our freedom in Christ? We must recognize the danger of legalism on the one hand, and the lure of seeking after spiritual experiences on the other. Both threaten to pull us away from the sufficiency that is only found in Christ. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on September 1, 2024.
When the world says we need something more than Christ, how do we respond? What should we preach to ourselves? Paul says to remember that God made us alive; He canceled our sin debt, and God, through Christ, destroyed and triumphed over our enemy. This message was preached by Pastor Gabe Medina on August 25, 2024.
Where do we find the power to change and become more like Christ? It does not come from trying harder. Just as we believed by faith, so we are to walk by faith. The Gospel not only provides forgiveness of sin, but also freedom from sin, the fruit of our union with Christ. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on August 18, 2024.

He is the One who will reconcile the heavens and the earth and make all things new. Are you trusting in Him? Don't you want to? This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on August 4, 2024.
How should we pray for one another? Paul shows us by actually praying for believers in this passage. His prayer is that our "doing" would flow from our increased love for and knowledge of God. This is the God who has qualified us to share in Christ's inheritance, who has delivered us from the domain of darkness, and who has transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son. May our hearts be filled with thanksgiving and joy. This message was preached by Pastor Erick Cobb on July 28, 2024.
How have you been affected by the ancient lie that we need Jesus plus something else? Let Paul remind you that the pure gospel is all we need and is transformative. It produces and increases faith in Christ and love for the brethren.
God always has the first word in our service as He calls us to worship, and He always has the last word as He pronounces a blessing, a benediction over us. Regarding this benediction, 1. What is the source of blessing? 2. What is the substance of blessing? and 3. How do we secure a blessing? This message was preached by Pastor Josh White on July 14, 2024.
What is baptism and why is it important? Why do Christians need baptism? Augustine describes it as a visible sign of invisible grace.
