He is passionate and driven for cultural change for students and wherever people desire to do better than yesterday. He is the Founder and President of Life that Counts, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which has helped bring in more than $1,250,000 in funding for Positive Youth Development Solutions in it’s less than two-year-old existence. He is the author of Rules4Success, developer of the B.E.L.I.E.V.E. curriculum for peer-based mentoring, and is the creator of the HERO Training 21 Day Compassion Challenge. He’s delivered over 1,200 keynotes, workshops, and breakouts, and he gives around 150 assembly talks per school year for audiences of students and educational professionals. He speaks, trains, and consults on overcoming adversity, youth culture, effective leadership, and positive youth cultural development. He is a graduate of Birmingham Southern with work on Youth Culture and holds undergraduate degrees in Theology and Communications and has Master level training in Business Administration. He believes that our future work must address the need in creating global leaders, in all sectors of human exchange, who are competent in IQ (Intellectual Quotient), EQ (Emotional Quotient), SQ (Social Quotient), and CQ (Cultural Quotient). John’s dream in life, early on, was for his wife to know, be loved by, cared for, protected, and supported by her husband. He aims for the same with his children. As Alexis’ husband of 15 years and dad to two boys, Jayden and Joshua, John is getting to live his dream. Taking an Insider’s Look into Leadercast, the World’s Premier Leadership Event. “The more you give away, the more you get” Duane Cummings is the CEO (“Constantly Elevating Others”) of Leadercast where they aim to “Fill The World With Leaders Worth Following” by serving groups and organizations, hosting events like Leadercast Live, the largest one day leadership event in the world. Duane describes his role as humbling to be surrounded by amazing talent and focus on making the world a better place by serving others. His personal aim is to “die empty” by fully giving away his gifts and talents to benefit others. “I’m humbled to serve the Leadercast Team. The importance of teamwork and leadership skills were drilled into me early in life, and then honed while serving in the U.S. Army. Fortunately, the results later provided championships as a professional soccer player and coach. After retiring from athletics, I transitioned to the business world and held several executive and management positions, before stepping out to build my own start up wholesale clothing company. “People refer to me as an Entrepreneur, Solutions Strategist, Public Speaker, Personal/Professional Coach, Author, Mentor, Philanthropist. Use whatever label you wish. I'm here to SERVE.” Over the last fifteen years, Duane has partnered in and owned of several companies and projects. He now sits on the board of several organizations. His intention is to find the Uncommon where others see the Common, by filtering IN versus filtering OUT. “If I can't help, I'll point you in the direction of someone who can.” About Leadercast: Leadercast is constantly thriving to inspire and equip this community by bringing realness to the leadership development space. They create innovative events and digital content for time-starved leaders and organizations that allow them to take immediate measurable actions that impact the lives of those they lead. Every piece of content produced is aimed at the human heart. Every single event element is meant to connect with the ache inside that longs for something greater. Leadercast is focused on developing the core of the leader first, believing that the principles that follow will take root, and a Leader Worth Following will be the end result. Events and Solutions include Leadercast Live, Leadercast Women, Leadercast Now, Leadercast Blog, Leadercast Discover, Leadercast Labs, Leadercast Expedition and Leadercast One-To-One. What does it take to be an innovative leader? Host Dave Robertson discusses that question with two guests. First, he speaks with Keith Wilmot, President and CEO of Leadercast, which recently launched a new technology platform, Leadercast Now, uniquely designed for time-starved leaders to strengthen leadership insights to action. Dave's second guest is Kat Cole, Group President of Focus Brands, who talks about her move up to this role from her former position as Cinnabon's president, and how she tries to mentor emerging, retail, education and tech startups.
