Monday morning, coming down. This is what a hurling hangover feels like. After a weekend of unbelievable action at Croke Park, we're pale and drawn and washed out by it all. But if the hurlers can go again, we can too. Not all heroes wear helmets. Sean Moran is in studio to put some order on it all for us. The mighty Natalya Coyle has had an amazing summer in the modern pentathlon, winning her first ever silver medal at a World Cup and leading the Irish team to a podium finish in the European Championships. She's in for a visit to tell us about her rise through the ranks, balancing her training and how Ireland accidentally won a silver medal in Hungary. And the Ireland women's hockey team will play a World Cup quarter-final on Thursday, having topped their pool as the surprise packages of the tournament in London. Johnny Watterson was there last week and joins us to break down how this has happened and what hockey needs to do to capitalise on their moment in the spotlight. It's a bumper edition of the extratime.ie Sportscast as presenter Declan Marron is once again joined in studio by extratime.ie reporter Dave Donnelly. It's been a great few weeks for Ireland's Modern Pentathlete Natalya Coyle. In June, Natalya and her team-mate Arthur Lanigan-O'Keeffe finished in first place at the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) World Cup IV. That was followed by the news that she had been retrospectively been bumped up to sixth place at the Rio Olympics. Natalya joins Declan and Dave on the phone from a training camp in Poland as she talks about the increasing profile of Modern Pentathlon in Ireland, drugs in sport as well as her targets for the future. The transfer window shut last week and we have two players on the Sportscast that secured moves from the West to Dublin clubs. First up St. Patrick's Athletic new signing Paul O'Conor talks about life at his new club having moved from Limerick and the targets for the rest of the current season. It's been a big few years for Lee Grace. Having started out with Wexford Youths, a move to Galway United meant leaving his job in the Army. Now the Tipperary native has moved to Shamrock Rovers and he talks to the lads about the whirlwind few years and the move to professional football.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/extratimecom)

Irish women athletes made history at these Olympic Games. Not only did Katie Taylor win Gold but more women qualified and competed than ever before, and for the first time about half of the Irish team were women. Team Ireland made it the best Olympic Games since Melbourne in 1956 and many in the team credit Chef de Mission Sonia O Sullivan, Olympic medal winner, as the reason for the unique spirit of the group. In the weeks running up to the Games Athena Media produced a series profiling some of the women athletes and their stories for Newstalk Breakfast, and in this one hour documentary producers Helen Shaw and Lisa Essuman talk to athletes including Annalise Murphy, Olive Loughnane, Natalya Coyle, Chloe Magee, Lisa Kearney, Aileen Morrison and Sycerika McMahon as well as team leader Sonia O Sullivan about the behind the scenes stories of the Olympic Games, the highs and the lows, winners and losers, and the lessons from London 2012 for the future of sport in Ireland. The documentary aired on Bank Holiday Monday 29th October 2012 at 12pm on Newstalk 106-108fm and was made with the support of the BAI sound and vision scheme. The documentary breaks at 21.16 and returns again at 21:27.
