This week Dan and Andrew circle back to I Hate Myself's only full length Ten Songs. Andrew gets fired, Dan has a fine dining experience. We talk tennis doubles, swinging, male attention, turn-of-the-century Arby's architecture, splitting the check, the new Botch song, Bayside, Yellowcard, your bell curve, stealing a computer, being born in the wrong generation, and the headwalking video. This week we have Hans Leibold of the legendary Overnight Drive podcast, Bare Mattress, and founding member of End of a Year / Self Defense Family on to talk about Braid's breakout album Frame and Canvas. We discuss Cold War stolen valor, skateboarding Army recruiters, the difference between Handsome and Hanson, Bernie Sanders' Chevy Cobalt, when they accidentally beep the horn in Red Dawn, Loud Pacino, Kim's Video and Music, waxing poetic on St. Mark's Place, the scent of Lou Reed, hugging Kate Bush, and Bob Nanna's brainwashing tactics. Han's breaks our brains by deconstructing how emo music romanticizes the mundane, Andrew has an existential crisis, Dan finishes his tour of duty in the Culture War, and we orchestrate a heist. Thank us for our service. // Follow us at @danbassini, @mysprocalledlife, @rustmidas @overnight_drive and @runintotheground. Everyone's asking, what happened to Steve Sommers, and where can we find his show? Let's let Steve tell you himself. Steve Sommers is like an old friend I've never met. We've traveled together more nights than I could count. He's helped me and thousands of other truckers keep up to date on trucking news, national weather and great conversation. We both love what we do. After listening to the show for over 20 years, I finally had an opportunity to talk with Mr. Sommers and catch up on his plans for 2021. I'll be posting updates as more information becomes available.

This Is Albany, Not Bakersfield. Bob is joined by Overnight Drive's secret coremen Hans and Andrew for a trip into the dark heart of memory lane. Scene clashes, the alienated hardcore kid, 25 Ta Life, Earth Crisis fandom, Louisville, Punk Planet, and more. This is a wild time.

This is it. As many as 3 people have demanded longer, thicker episodes of Border Boss and I don't have the stamina to do it myself so I tapped Podcast PRO Hans from Overnight Drive to bail me out. It's like... 7 hours long. Be careful what you wish for.
E-mails, Special guest Gabri semi-host of Overnight Drive, THe September movie preview and Gabri brins snax form Little LA for SNAXCHAT. Plus Gabri's strong politics and what snack to Sawyer give up being vegan for??? Tune in to find out!!
Drink more water. You are dying inside.
This is an off the cuff bonus episode. Think of it like a monster-of-the-week episode from the X-Files; cool, but not part of the larger overall story arc. Planned Brotherhood was the first podcast I ever really got into. It was just so weird, and so unrehearsed, and so subtle. I absolutely loved it. They stopped a few years ago, which made me sad, but what is much more sad is that recently, PJ Ahlers, one of the co-hosts, was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and given 2-3 years to live, with treatment. What the fuck, right? Guy is 32, has a family, and doesn't have time or patience for this shit. So his family have started a fundraiser to help offset the costs of his treatment bills, living expenses since he can't very well work a bartending job after a round of chemo, and all the other insane costs that come with living in a country where medical care is treated as a privilege and not a basic human right. The most important thing in beating cancer is keeping stress low and keeping focus on a positive outcome. If this dude can live without worry that his water is going to be shut off or some shit, it will go a long way in helping him to recovery. They've set a goal of $10,000 in 90 days. I think that's modest, so I'm setting a totally untestable goal of $20,000 in 60 days. Seems reasonable, right? Here's the deal. I know most of you aren't in a position to donate $50 to a podcaster you've maybe never heard of, because another podcaster you sort of know asked you to. I get that. But $5? That's no big, right? Shit, if everybody who downloaded Episode 81 gave $5, we would make a pretty big dent. The link to the fundraiser is below. It would mean a lot to me if everybody would give generously. To be frank, there would definitely be no Overnight Drive today if Planned Brotherhood hadn't forged the path first. And in five or six years, I want to hear a goddamn reunion show with everybody happy and healthy. Thanks guys! Episode 82 soon! http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/let-s-help-pj-make-an-idiot-out-of-cancer/310464

Hopefully this episode goes smooth, without the technical hassles from 35. Hans drops a billion dollar idea for Wal-Mart, I offer to fire a crossbow at music fans, and Tinder makes it's first Overnight Drive appearance.
This was a cool one. After recieving more than a few musical gut punches from us in the past, we were pretty surprised when Blake Shwarzenbach becaome a fan of Overnight Drive. We were even more surprised when he gladly accepted our offer to come on the show. Hans and I had no idea what to expect from this one, thinking he may show up just to catch a case. Instead, it was definitely one of our best episodes to date. Dude is a serious trip, and an ideal OND passenger. Please, tell your weird soft-dude friends!
An Overnight Drive twofer! This episode brings us back to the normal "studio", where we talk about the dissolution of Hans' relationship, take a question that chills us to the core, and speculate on where the owls landed.
Well, ancient Mayans, you have let us down yet again. We are still here, eating bags of Doritos as meals and dodging calls from creditors. Good job, guys. On the positive side of things, we are back with another episode of Overnight Drive. In our first podcast of 2013, Hans recounds what he remembers of his New Years, we (sort of) answer a question about touring that sprawls entirely out of control, and Andrew and guest passenger Justin Kiss rub helmets over 9/11 conspriacies. Enjoy, please tell your weird friend, and leave us an iTunes review if you be feeling froggy.
