Join us at Brisbane Central as we continue in our current series, Owned. This week Pastor Neli talks about what it looks like to be a son of God. We are to pray, give, and go. Listen to God by connecting your spirit to His. Have you built a culture of giving or a culture of obligation in your life? If you are building what God has called you to build, He will provide. Do you trust God wholeheartedly? give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” - Luke 6:38 (ESV)

Today's conversation is with Scott Allen, the Minister of Missions & Single Adults at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina. Scott has helped lead Rock Springs Baptist to develop a missions process that has resulted in their church being involved in missions all around the world. That strategy is called "Pray, Give, Go."Want to learn how your church can partner with OneChild to bring HOPE to kids living in hard Places? Click Here!First, Scott reminds us that when we get the people in our churches truly praying for missions and outreach, it changes them from the inside out. This always leads to a deeper involvement in other ways. Second, Rock Springs doesn't just "talk the talk" when it comes to giving, it "walks the walk." They're committed to seeing anyone who feels called to participate in a missions trip, go. And they back that up financially. This moves the rest of the church to become more involved in giving to missions because their own friends and family are actively involved. And finally, as we've heard so many times before, when individuals and families within Rock Springs Baptist participate in short term missions opportunities, it leads to a stronger walk with Christ and even more involvement in taking the Gospel across the street and around the world. Today, Thursday December 24 – Romans 1:14-16 – Merry Christmas!!!!! But what a tragedy, that as most of the world today celebrates one of the greatest and most significant events in all of human history, they have never experienced the real reason for the season! God Himself is robed in human flesh so that He could die and pay the penalty for our sins! There are two verses that I remind myself of every morning as I have my quiet time with the Lord. Hebrews 2:14-15 - “Because God's children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” When the Apostle Paul met Jesus on the Damascus Road, he immediately begin to live his life to share Jesus with everyone he could. I love his three “I am” statements in these three verse in Romans 1. “I am debtor” – Paul felt he owed a debt, first to God and the Lord Jesus Christ for saving him. He owed a debt to those, like Stephen who had been willing to die for the sake of the Gospel. He owed a debt to those who were lost in their sins and still needed to hear! But Paul was also ready! “I am ready” – Paul was prepared, he was predisposed, he was eager, to pray, to give, to go, to live and to die, so that this wonderful story of Christmas might be shared with as many people as possible. God gave us this great gift of salvation through His Son Jesus. Are you ready to give the Lord the gift and sacrifice of your life so that others can be set free? Be prepared to share this story with someone this Christmas season! God bless!

Every follower of Jesus is called to share His generously. Whether that is through words, acts of service, or empowering others to go by giving financially, we are all called to missions in three ways: PRAY - GIVE - GO. We call it Thanks - Missions Sunday. Today we celebrate the mission call with special guest speaker, Missionary to Indonesia, Katie Cannon.
Special guest Hans Ostrem, recently named as FCA Canada's first Global Vice President, shares Pray-Give-Go opportunities with Northeast FCA staff.
