Catherine Lough Haqqguist recently joined host Elias in the cave! You can see Catherine as Petra Bellweather on the final season of "Motherland: Fort Salem" For Haggquist, her return as Petra Bellweather brings her to over 140 professional acting credits in television and film over the course of her career. Haggquist has been a fixture across genres and mediums appearing on staples like "Supernatural", "Stargate: SG1", "Fringe", "Bates Motel", "Van Helsing", "Once Upon a Time", "The Good Doctor", "Superman and Lois", and "Another Life" to go along with roles in films like "Godzilla", "Elysium", "Fifty Shades Freed", and the horror festival favorite, "Puppet Killer". Prior to "Motherland: Fort Salem", where she plays mother and mentor to Abigail (Ashley Nicole Williams), Haggquist was perhaps best-known for playing Inspector Nora Harris on the long- running sci-fi-drama series "Continuum", Terry Sternholz in Hallmark's "Aurora Teagarden Mystery" movies, and Linda Nelson on "Chesapeake Shores". Motherland: Fort Salem follows Raelle Collar, Abigail Bellweather, and Tally Craven, three witches who are conscripted into the U.S. Army. They train in combat magic and use their vocal cords to enact "seeds" or "seed sounds", layering vocal sounds to create powerful spells. The series takes place in a women-dominated world in which the U.S. ended persecution of witches 300 years ago during the Salem witch trials after an agreement known as the Salem Accord.[5] The world finds itself at odds with a terrorist organization known as the Spree, a witch resistance group fighting against the conscription of witches. This week I chatted to Yvonne Gustafson a Vancouver talent agent with Leo Management. We chatted about her transition into being a talent agent, the joys of being an agent, some do's and don'ts, some very inspiring advice for actors and some fun rapid fire questions! So, grab a coffee and enjoy! :) BIO: After a successful career in the travel industry, Yvonne Gustafson decided to change gears and focus on her passion for the arts. Since winning an acting scholarship at age7, she was curious to see if performing was more than just a hobby. Upon recieving her diploma in the Acting for Film/Television program, she immediately enrolled in and graduated from the Theatre Conservatory at Vancouver Acting School. Yvonne has worked on both sides of the camera ever since. In 2019, Gustafson produced her first play, Twenty Something, and was Art Director for the award winning film, Puppet Killer. Last year, Yvonne joined Leo Management as a talent agent, combining her passions for coaching actors and the film industry. In her life outside of the arts, Yvonne is a board member of ‘2 Paycheques Away..’’ (a charity that provides haircuts to men and women on Vancouver’s downtown east-side).
