This week it's another two-person podcast as the Binge Buddies tackle episodes 3-4 of Ash vs Evil dead.
It's time for the Binge Buddies to hop over to the next entry in the super groovy Evil Dead Franchise and return to our pal Ash...vs Evil Dead. The gang covers the first two episodes of the Starz series.
This week the Binge Buddies tackle the Fede Alvarez follow-up to the Sam Raimi Evil Dead Trilogy, simply named Evil Dead.
Any time we have mentioned Death Stranding on our humble little podcast, it has lead to chuckles. The news that it is been adapted to film by A24 just has us dumbfounded. We also talk about the awesomely named Evil Dead Burn. There are some things that we were happy to hear, though there is some cause for worry.Heart Eyes is the perfect date movie for the horror fan in your life. It is charming, funny, sweet, and scary. It is filled with strong performances and has some very effective kills. It is also the rare slasher which will have you rooting for the protagonists. At times, the rom com elements outshine the actual horror.Which isn't to say that it is a bad scary movie. Josh Ruben has proven he knows how to put together a good horror movie. Heart Eyes is another example of how he is criminally overlooked. We also talk about the Heart Eyes Killer and the potential for a franchise. Plus, a really creative use of a grape press.Shadow of God starts off like any other exorcism movie. It begins in a run down part of Mexico, a violent exorcism is taking place, and it is an introduction to the demon that will be the film's main villain. It is also the only part that will look familiar. This is one of the strangest things we have ever reviewed on this show. The big twist should be that the possessor is God, but the marketing reveals that. It then becomes a question of what they are going to do with it. Perhaps unsurprisingly, not very much. After all, what can you do when the Almighty is an integral part of the plot? Filled with inconsistencies, arthouse tendencies, and a clear lack of direction, Shadow of God ends up being a off putting yet fascinating mix. This week the boomstick comes out as the Binge Buddies tackle Army of Darkness in their Evil Dead franchise retrospective.
Groovy, baby. The Binge Buddies return for a new show, and this one is a doozy. They're talking all things Evil Dead, beginning where it all began and getting into so much trouble from there.

His short thrillers “Cole & Colette” and “One-Hit Wonder” have been accepted into more than 60 film festivals combined, garnering several awards. In the small, isolated Nevada town of Perfection, two aimless handymen Val (Kevin Bacon) and Earl (Fred Ward) were just minding their own business working their latest gig when they suddenly discover strange things occurring....including the inexplicable death of some one who has hidden way up on a light pole in the middle of nowhere. What were they afraid of....something on the ground....or underground perhaps? :o Well as it turns out, this town has been invaded by large, strange creatures travelling underground....and what results is a wild adventure which might be described as "Jaws on Land." Ron Underwood (City Slickers, Heart and Souls) directed this now beloved cult classic which first under-performed in theaters back in 1990 but has since spawned several sequels and even a TV spin-off. Student Bodies (1981) is a horror-comedy that parodies the popular slasher films of the late '70s and early '80s. It follows a high school plagued by a mysterious killer known as "The Breather," who targets students in a series of absurdly over-the-top murders. The film pokes fun at horror tropes, including jump scares, suspicious characters, and the cliched behaviors of horror victims, making it a playful satire for fans of both horror and comedy. It has been years since the new Blade movie was announced to much fanfare. Since then there have been rumors and turmoil. With the latest news that the movie has been removed from its release date of next year, now is the time to ask; is Blade cursed?VHS tapes were a huge part of our young lives. They shaped what movies we would watch for the rest of our lives. Advancements in technology have made them all but obsolete for any reason aside from collecting. That is what makes the recent announcement regarding Alien: Romulus so exciting. There are a number of well known horror anthologies. The most popular may be a Halloween one that spawned a franchise, costumes, and is loved by adults and kids. This week, we talk about 10-31. Five stories in an hour and a half. Great special effects, gory slashings, a story one of us could remember nothing about. This movie has it all.One of the most important parts of Halloween is the fun that surrounds it. We all love a good scare, but this is also the time of year to have a good laugh. Members Club is an import from the UK that is filled with scary moments, but also tells a heartwarming story.Folk horror complete with witches, hags, and symbols? Check. Disgusting kills? You got it. Full frontal nudity? Plenty. This is a horror movie that knows how to gross its audience out while having fun at the same time. It is not just perfect for Halloween; it is an all around good time. We really didn't care about the upcoming I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot. It just seemed like another tired reboot of what was already a ripoff. In other words, we weren't really interested. How did its latest casting announcement bring some credibility? How long ago was the Blade movie announced? How many writer and director changes has it gone through? What are the chances that it begins production in the next three years? Is it even going to come out? In the meantime, there is the new vampire flick from Ryan Coogler to discusss. It has literally been years since we last had a anthology on our humble little podcast. Tenants has an interesting premise. A woman wakes up in the parking garage of an apartment complex. As she looks for her sister, each encounter leads to horror. All the tools are here for a fun anthology. Stories of mysterious rashes, lost love, and awful roommates are just a part of m what Tenants has to offer. All are tropes of the subgenre, but the film makes odd decisions that negatively impact the viewing experience.True crime documentaries have covered every subject you can think of. So what would be the point in making a fake one that is not a spoof? Strange Harvest: Occult Murder in the Inland Empire attempts to answer this question by weaving a captivating story filled with creepy characters and gory kills .It does not succeed at everything, but it is still one of the best entries in the genre. A few weeks ago we talked about The First Omen and how it needed to make cuts in order to avoid an NC-17 rating. Blake brought up an interesting point. What if the movie was horrible and was relying on being over the top to garner word of mouth? And cinema history has shown that an entire film being gross just for the sake of it is not usually a good thing. The first movie we review this week is The Coffee Table. Quotes from critics talking about how uncomfortable it will make audiences feel uncomfortable. The director has stated he wanted to make a “cruel” film. And there it definitely succeeds with both. But does that make it good? It is one thing to make people watching a feel rethink their positions on things; it is something else entirely when the goal is to just to make people feel ugly. It can be argued that Bruce Lee Fights Back from the Grave is just as disgusting, though for completely different reasons. Released just three years after the death of Bruce Lee, the U.S distributors added a tasteless opening and title that have nothing to do with the actual plot. This was simply about capitalizing on someone's death in the most crass way possible. The fact it stars Bruce K. Lea may be the most sensitive part of it all.The actual movie has nothing to do with Lee or anything supernatural. It is a straight up action movie about a man trying to find his missing brother. It is filled with the wackiness that is expected of a martial arts movie from the 1970s. Unsurprisingly, it does not live up to anything done by Bruce Lee. The question is, should you spend an hour and a half of your life with it? Adventures in Movies! is a part of the Morbidly Beautiful Podcast Network. Welcome to the Horror Project Podcast. Join hosts Laura and Phil as they review Lake Placid (1999).This was a first time watch for both us, and it wildly swerved every expectation that we may have had going into it. (We've only waited 25 years to check it out). With an incredibly strong cast delivering performances which left us scratching our heads, Brendan Gleeson we are looking at you!?! With an odd accent which travels from Dublin to Maine, plus everywhere in-between.We also discuss Betty White's disregard for her own cattle and the CGI / animatronic hybrid which creates the giant killer Crocodile. We couldn't help but compare it to the dinosaur's featured in Jurassic Park which was released only 6 years earlier. Plus we shall be finding a place on the leaderboard for the movie during our Ranking. We hope you enjoy the show, thanks for listening!Email - Horrorprojectpodcast@hotmail.com X (Formerly Twitter) - @TheHorrorProje1Instagram - horrorprojectpodcastTikTok - @horrorprojectpodcast

Coming straight out of Montreal, Sébastien Landry (Seb) and Laurence Morais Lagacé (Baz) created one crazy, violent, fun, and well shot horror film called “Game of Death.” The stylish flick really got the duo the chance to spread their creative wings and let loose! Over the years, they had shot tons of music videos, as well as doing their own separate projects, all of which are beautiful and creative in their own light. I was super excited to talk to these guys about their amazing career as well as music (as they really know their stuff), Nu Metal making a comeback, and so much more! "Game" is streaming on Tubi.If you haven't done so already, please like and follow Classic American Movies on Facebook and Instagram!
