Rob & Gareth are back with another episode of the Howlin' Hour!

It's taken 7 games this season but the Toronto Wolfpack have finally secured their first win of the season beating early season high flyers, Huddersfield Giants, in a comprehensive showing during Round 5 of the Challenge Cup! COVID-19 not only shuts down the world but all levels of Rugby League in the UK as well with the RFL electing to suspend the Super League season until April 3rd at which point it's anyone's guess as to the future of the 2020 season and the long-term impacts on clubs across the leagues. But before the competition suspension there was one final round of Challenge Cup & Super League competition as St. Helens are defeated for the 3rd time in 6 games and Salford come back to beat Wigan late in the game. In general news Hull FC sack head coach Lee Radford immediately following their loss to Warrington. And, despite the pandemic sweeping through the world of sports, the NRL continue to operate, for now, playing behind closed doors from Round 2 onward. Episode 36: The Two Howlers, Rob & Gareth, breakdown the Wolfpack's comprehensive victory over promotion contenders, Toulouse Olympique, at Lamport this past weekend. With some excellent performances across the squad, and in particular from marquee players like Ricky Leutele, it appears that the Grand Final is very much Toronto's to lose. That being said, Featherstone may very well have something to say after impressing with a big win over the York City Knights. Fev came in to the playoffs showing good form and with every game for them being a do-or-die situation, they have equipped themselves very handily. The Community Spotlight shines solely and brightly on Canada this week as the Canada Wolverines & Ravens finished their tour of Bosnia & Serbia with mixed fortunes. Congrats to both though going 4 for 5 on the tour and the efforts they put in. Everyone can be rightly proud of themselves. The Super League playoffs have kicked off in fine fashion and the guys give their predictions on who they expect to progress to the next round along with who they think will take on Toronto in the Grand Final on October 5th. Episode 25: A surprise visit from a furry friend just minutes before kick off provided some entertainment for the crowd at Lamport, and Jefferson Wolf further asserted his dominance over the much maligned mascot Gordo as Medieval Times made their return for the half time show. The weather was oppressive with both teams feeling the effects of the heat and humidity in what was at times a sloppy affair by both squads. Ultimately though, the Wolfpack came away the victors. The spotlight is shone both far and wide on the Community game this week as Paul Buchanan, founder of the Haldimand Wolfpack, joins the Two Howlers for a chat. The Ontario provincial champsionship concluded over the weekend with the Toronto City Saints; Spanish RL is set for it's first 'Oirign' game & South of the border giant strides are being taken towards the establishment of West Coast RL in California with a fledgling match up later this year. Round up of the Super League & Championship sees some shaking and moving in both competitions. And the mysterious and oft confusing Championship playoff format comes under scrutiny from Rob & Gareth as they try to make heads or tails of what exactly is going on.  Episode 23: This week the Two Howlers, Rob & Gareth, dissect the Pack's recent home win over promotion rivals, a spirited Toulouse Olympique team. The Community Spotlight focuses heavily on the local game here in Canada and the Americas as the RFLI have announced a men's and women's tour of Serbia by the Canada Wolverines & Ravens respectively. Junior Rugby League is starting to take shape locally in Southern Ontario as the Georgina Griffins begin their inaugural season and the Haldimand Wolfpack will host a "Give Rugby a Go" event this Saturday down in Caledonia. Rounding up the Super League & Championship in a weekend of big results as London secure a huge win (3rd in a row) towards their Super League safety; and the Barrow Raiders halt Fev's recent charge up the table in a shock away win. It's all to play for in both competitions this season! Lastly Rob reaches rock bottom as he dumpster dives his own garbage for a sweet treat - 'Garbage Cake'. Do we need to start a GoFundMe for him? Episode 19: The Two Howlers, Rob & Gareth, get into the Wolfpack's recent victory over the Sheffield Eagles as the team finds a new gear and play what appeared to be their fastest game of the season yet with an impressive forwards display and excellent offload game. In the Community Spotlight, the ORL competition has begun with the Brantford Broncos taking the opening round against the Toronto City Saints. The 'Magic Weekend' turned up some magical games and surprise results in the Super League over the weekend. In the Championship, Featherstone lay down a marker to the rest of the league with a dominant win over Bradford Bulls in what was a weekend of big wins across both leagues. No game this weekend for the Wolfpack as attentions turn to the business end of the Challenge Cup with the Quarter Finals taking place this weekend. Episode 17: Gareth is back from holidays and teamed up again with co-host and fellow Howler, Rob, as normal service is resumed! With no Wolfpack game this past weekend to review the guys focus on the upcoming and inaugural Americas Rugby League 9s held this Saturday 18th May at "The Den" - Lamport Stadium. Wolverines Head Coach, Ben Fleming, recently announced his Canada Wolverines squad brimming with promise and experience including several key Wolverine stalwarts and a few newer men to keep an eye out for. In addition, the competition is now set to include a 3 team Women's competition featuring the Canada Ravens, an Ontario representative side and a Jamaican Heritage team. Rob & Gareth formally bid farewell to two of the Wolfpack squad. Prop, Olsi Krasniqi, rejoins his first club the London Broncos as he tries to help them secure their Super League future. And fan favourite play-maker, club ambassador and all-round great guy, Ryan Brierley, has rejoined former club Leigh Centurions. 'The Good, the Bad & the Ugly' returns with plenty of news to discuss including the Bradford Bulls upset victory of long-standing rivals and Super League perennials, the Leeds Rhinos after more than 4yrs since the last time they played each other The Challenge Cup QFs have been decided and the Championship is GUARANTEED representation as Bradford are drawn against Halifax. Lastly the guys shift focus to the upcoming Championship "Summer Bash" weekend and preview upcoming promotion rivals, Toulouse Olympique, in the second of a three match instalment this season. The guys summarize the results from the Super League & Championship with a few shock upsets that put a different spin on both leagues. In this week's segment of 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly', the guys discuss a variety of topics including further expansion and development of the Disability League Super League as more SL clubs partner up; Leeds & Wigan still suck; and the Pack's baby soft defense. 'The Good, the Bad & the Ugly' features again before the weekly round up of Super League & Championship results of Rd.3 & 4 respectively. Rob talks early days of the Wolfpack again, shedding some light on how he came to be 'The Voice' of the Wolfpack on game days.
