Four days of testing on the Iberian Peninsula gets underway this week at Jerez. Two days of action will get underway at the Southern Spanish circuit on Wednesday before the paddock moves to Portimao. Iker Lecuona's move to the Aruba.it Ducati squad will see the Spaniard armed with the best bike on the grid and a team looking for their star man of the future. Could it be Lecuona? If he can perform well this year he'll be in the pound seats to be the man at Ducati if Nicolo Bulega moves to MotoGP. If Iker underperforms the Italian squad will look elsewhere to a host of out of contract MotoGP riders. The pressure won't ramp up for a few rounds but Lecuona needs to hit the ground running in 2026. Miguel Oliviera has already made the move from MotoGP to WorldSBK but what can we expect from him this year? Steve and Gordo breakdown his prospects and why this test is important for him and his new crew chief, Andrew Pitt. Bringing with him a wealth of experience as a rider and enginner Pitty is a wildcard in the mix at BMW. He's the man that could unlock potential from the package and give Miguel an extra gear compared to his teammate, Danilo Petrucci. The intra-team battle at BMW is set to be intriguing with the experienced Michael van der Mark in the shadows as test rider and a good yardstick to judge their performances on this week. At Honda Jake Dixon will be back in action and out to prove that lessons have been learned since his last days on the Fireblade. Three crashes were a blot on the November copy book for the British rider and it'll be interesting to see how his pace fares this week. After a raft of injuries in recent years for Lecuona Honda are already down a man with his replacement, Somkiat Chantra, ruled out of action after fracturing his forearm. Jonathan Rea was always scheduled to test this week for the Developement Team but will he now be seen as a potential replacement for Chantra at Round 1? Ryan Vikers and Tetsuta Nagashima are the other options. At bimota the biggest change is personnel. Axel Bassani has a new crew chief for 2026 with Uri Pallares rejoining the Provec run operation. The Italian rider has shown flashes of potential on the bimota but needs to make a step forward this year. Will changing crew chiefs bring with it a change of fortunes? It looks like bimota will only run Alex Lowes for a single day of this test. They also saved a day in November for the British rider. Is that a way to allocate the test dates more evenly throughout the campaign? Testing is always a chance to run the rule over rider changes. No change will be more significant than Alvaro Bautista joning Barni Racing. The double champion has a brand new bike for 2026 and the improved Ducati V4R might be exactly what he needs to be back on top. The fight for top Independent Rider honours this year should be led by Bautista but Jerez will give us a chance to see him in his new colours and on his new mount. ‘El Faro' arranca la semana con un tema que Mara Torres y Elena Sánchez llevaban tiempo prometiendo: “Bombo”. Y qué mejor ocasión para hacerlo que el Día de la Lotería de Navidad. El panel de expertos lo han formado Raquel Villascusa, una de las niñas de San Ildefonso que cantó el Gordo hace 30 años, el 22 de diciembre de 1995. David Botello, divulgador y director del programa “La historia en ruta”, que nos desveló algunos de los secretos históricos de nuestra Lotería Nacional. Y Miguel Ángel Zapata, lotero de la administración 'El Perolo', de San Juan del Pinatar, en Murcia, que además de repartir ilusión con cada décimo, tiene en marcha varios proyectos relacionados con el concepto de la suerte. Además hemos aprovechado para pediros a través de vuestras notas de audio, nuevas palabras con las que renovar la lista de temas que día a día vamos sacando del bombo del programa. 

Hace 30 años, Raquel Villaescusa se convirtió en parte de la historia de la Lotería al cantar el Gordo. En 1995, la suerte se medía en pesetas: 300 millones por serie, 30 millones por décimo. La Lotería de Navidad reparte el Gordo, el 79432, en Madrid y León, y el segundo premio, el 70048, íntegro en Madrid. En Extremadura, Miguel Ángel Gallardo dimite como líder del PSOE tras el varapalo electoral y se mantiene la duda sobre si conservará su escaño mientras es investigado judicialmente. Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra sugiere la abstención del PSOE para que María Guardiola (PP) gobierne sin VOX. El PP ve en su victoria extremeña un impulso para futuras citas electorales, a pesar de las complejas negociaciones que se avecinan con VOX, que, tras aumentar sus diputados, exige respeto a sus votantes. Pedro Sánchez nombra a Milagros Tolón ministra de Educación y a Elma Saiz portavoz del Gobierno. Judicialmente, la Audiencia Nacional anula la investigación de correos de Begoña Gómez, y jefes de gabinete de exministras declaran en un caso de fraude. Las elecciones en Extremadura culminan con la victoria del Partido Popular de María Guardiola, que obtiene 29 escaños, si bien no alcanza la mayoría absoluta. El PSOE sufre un revés histórico, logrando 18 escaños, lo que provoca la dimisión de su candidato, Miguel Ángel Gallardo. VOX, con Óscar Fernández, experimenta un crecimiento notable, duplicando su representación hasta los 11 escaños, mientras que Unidas por Extremadura consigue 7. La participación electoral se sitúa en un 62%. Se perfilan tres posibles escenarios: un acuerdo de investidura, un gobierno de coalición o una repetición de los comicios. VOX insiste en sus propuestas, que incluyen la defensa de Almaraz y la oposición al pacto verde, entre otras, para cualquier pacto. Por otro lado, el sorteo de la Lotería de Navidad distribuye premios por todo el país, con el Gordo (79432) vendido mayoritariamente en León y Madrid. El Sorteo de Navidad reparte alegría por España. El Gordo, 79432, deja 728 millones en León y llega también a Madrid. Un equipo de fútbol local gana 468 millones. El segundo premio (70048) se reparte en Madrid, el tercero (90693) está muy distribuido. Hacienda retiene el 20% de premios superiores a 40.000 euros; el Gordo, por ejemplo, deja 328.000 euros netos. Los premios se cobran ya, con plazo de tres meses. En Extremadura, María Guardiola (PP) gana, pero sin mayoría absoluta, lo que la obliga a negociar con VOX para su investidura. El candidato de VOX, Óscar Fernández, aún espera la llamada de Guardiola y mantiene sus condiciones previas sobre los presupuestos.
