It's Tuesday which means there's a new Hallmark movie to review! ABOUT A CASTLE OF OUR OWN When an overworked architect takes an unexpected summer trip, a sandcastle contest and a contractor help her reconnect with her daughter, rediscover joy, and find love she never saw coming. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR A CASTLE OF OUR OWN June 27, 2026 | Hallmark CAST & CREW OF A CASTLE OF OUR OWN Director: Kay Shioma Metchie Writer: Nina Weinman Cast: Erica Cerra as Marley Brennan Elliott as Adam BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS A dude named Gordo is the GOAT of sand castles. He has been cleaning house at the Vero Beach contest every year, but it's time for him to go home to Cannon Cove and return to his roots. It might be a smaller competition, but it'll just be nice to go home. Marley is an overworked mom. Her daughter Lily is over it. But it's not just her mom that's a workaholic. Her ex-husband is supposed to take Lily to Cannon Cove for a week, but he has a big work thing come up, so he asks Marley to take a couple of days off until he can get up there. She reluctantly agrees. If I have to spend time with my daughter, I have to spend time with my daughter. They get to the rental, and the water isn't working, so they have to call a plumber. She can tell that her daughter is distracted by something, but she won't say what. The plumber shows up, and he's so much hotter than her ex-husband, it's insane. His name is Adam Sullivan, and it turns out he's not a plumber. He's just the neighbor next door who happened to have a toolbox in the bed of his pickup truck. Lily meets Adam's niece, and they bond over their love of art, and she invites her to hang out with some friends. Marley decides to sign her and her daughter up for the sandcastle competition. She goes out to practice, and it's harder than she thought it would be. When she sees how good Adam is at building his castle, she asks if he'll help them get ready for the competition. He gives them a lesson, and they come up with a name - Last One Sanding - and also ask Paige to join their team too. For round one, they decide to go bold with the Eiffel Tower because Lily says since my parents keep promising to take me and never do, this might be the only way I see it. It's not going well, so Adam decides to take them to fly a kite. It's competition time, and they don't quite move on. But they find contraband in one of the other castles, which disqualifies that castle. So they move on!!!! Adam and Marley keep hanging out more, he keeps convincing her not to pick up her phone, and they end up kissing big times. She decides she's going to quit her job and go back into residential architecture all thanks to Adam as her inspiration. It's scary though. There's a lot of financial risk there. Luckily for her, her ex-husband offers to buy a chunk of her ownership in their joint business. They're building their championship build - the pyramids. Our guy Gordo isn't concerned. BUT HE SHOULD BE! Cuz he loses. But Last One Sanding doesn't win either. But they do get honorable mention! Adam and Marley talk and decide it's best if they break things off now since it's clearly not going to work with them not living close. But with the help of HER EX-HUSBAND, he decides to shoot his shot and move to Seattle to be close to her. They kiss some more! If there was ever a contending team that needed a very specific thing, it would be the Cubs' desire to find starting pitching. While Chicago did make a trade for the Mets' David Peterson, it is clear that, because of the rash of injuries to the Cubs' starting rotation, other moves need to be made. That's why the Play Tessie guys (Gordo, Pat and Sammy) are diving into the discussion, looking for answers when it comes to one of MLB's most mercurial clubs.

Paddock Pass Podcast - Motorcycle Racing - MotoGP - World Superbike
The first half of the WorldSBK season is in the books and Steve and Gordo get you up to date with the latest news from inside the paddock as Nicolo Bulega continues his relentless drive to a first Superbike title. The Italian is still perfect for 2026 with 18 wins from 18 starts but Sunday's Superpole Race saw him pushed harder than at any point thus far. His harder rear tyre proved the difference maker but, as ever, Bulega found a way to win. What must Iker Lecuona be thinking? The Spainard, 15 times a runner-up finisher this year, is hunting for his first WorldSBK victory. He's hurting too because he knows how close he keeps coming to that success. His reward for his hard work will be seen this weekend in MotoGP where he'll replace Alex Marquez. Outside of the Aruba.it Ducati riders there was plenty to talk about but Gordo's conversations with Tommy Bridewell have certainly left an impression. The Englishman had his best finish of the season, fifth position in Race 1, and is making the most out of his Ducati V4R to reap some good results.

The Play Tessie guys (Pat, Gordo and Sammy) are back with another episode of BIB Notes, this time diving into possible trades involving what figures to be the biggest name at the Deadline, Tarik Skubal. Trash Queen Directors Emily Tullock and Gabrielle Rosson Indie horror filmmakers Gabby Rosson and Emily Tullock are creating Trash Queen, a sci-fi horror comedy, starring Tullock and legendary scream queen Lynn Lowery. They joined the Scariest Things to talk about what goes into developing a self-funded independent horror film. It is the journey of many an ambitious creator, and we talked about all of the joys and difficulties of crafting a horror movie. If you have ever wanted to produce a movie yourself, this may be an instructive conversation, so join us as we take a trip to the dump, for all the right reasons. Part of the Scariest Things’ mission is to provide an opportunity for independent horror filmmakers to reach audiences. Whether they are established short-film creators or launching their first feature film, independent filmmakers can struggle to build a fan base. Film festivals do a great job of this. But what about securing the resources to get the film made so it can screen at festivals? It’s a chicken-and-egg problem. You have to start somewhere. Creators Gabrielle Rosson and Emily Tullock found our Site through a recommendation from fellow filmmaker Luke Zwanziger, who participated in The Scariest Thing’s Overlook Short Film Roundtable in 2025. It’s all about building a horror community. A small horror press outfit needs to contact independent filmmakers. Movie folks need to get the word out about their movies. It’s like peanut butter and jelly. Gabrielle sent us a message, and the movie concept intrigued us. So, we arranged an interview. We had a chance to discuss their concept, their relationship to horror, and their creative process. Here is the elevator pitch for Trash Queen: Trash Queen is a blood-soaked, female-driven horror-comedy about what happens when a woman who's spent her entire life being overlooked…finally becomes impossible to ignore. After a bite from a trash-dwelling alien cannibal leaves her craving human flesh, Sophia, a painfully underestimated office worker, spirals into a grotesque, hilarious transformation. When her washed-up musician boyfriend, Jack, is also infected and trapped in the Town Dump, she's forced to chase after him and face off against the Trash King. To survive, Sophia must stop trying to fit in and fully become something else. Something powerful. Something terrifying. The Trash Queen. Both women have been in the film industry for about ten years. Rosson has several short films in her directing portfolio, and Tullock is a comedienne with several acting performances and a pair of directing credits to her name. This will be their first feature film direction for both of them. The two of them have finished their script, and, with a fair bit of chutzpah and moxie, they have assembled a cast. Emily Tullock plays Sophia, the film’s lead protagonist. Lynn Lowry (Shivers, The Crazies) plays Marcy, an off the grid resident of the woods. Kevin Keppy (Smile, Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities) plays Gordo, a monstrous figure. Jonathan Stoddard (The Roaring Games) plays Jack, Sophia’s boyfriend They are still casting for the movie, so if you are a Washington actor or actress and are wanting to be in a locally made horror movie, send your resumes to trashqueenfeaturefilm@gmail.com. The Fundraiser: If, after listening to them describe their project, you think this movie should be made, you can be part of their brand-new crowdfunding effort. In this day and age, it is the essential model for getting production off the ground. If you want to BE in the movie, there are pledge levels to be an extra in the movie, and even a speaking role! There are plenty of stretch goals, so if you’re feeling generous, there are plenty of rewards available. The Scariest Things will update you on the progress of making this movie. I hope we’ll be able to go up and visit them once the shoot is underway. We will update you with behind-the-scenes material and production footage! The Interview: Here is the interview link for the making of Trash Queen. You can also download this podcast from iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, or wherever you stream your podcasts.

SVP and Stanford Steve are at Aronimink in Philly to preview the PGA Championship with David “Gordo” Gordon and discuss the top storylines of the NBA and Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Thunder took care of the Lakers with ease, and the Knicks also swept the Sixers, giving SVP more and more confidence it'll be New York in the Finals. But Steve still likes a certain team's chances to make it. Will it be the Spurs or Wolves vs. the Thunder? The guys take a look at the series and share their thoughts on what could be the deciding factors. Plus, thoughts on the latest in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, including Carolina's dominance, the Avs game four win, why the guys are rooting for Montreal and more. Finally, Gordo joins to give his double hammers, FRLs, winners and other prop bets ahead of the PGA Championship. Yes, there's Patrick Cantlay hate, Cam Young love and a double hammer that disgusted the Big Man. | SVPod Approximate Timecodes: (0:00) Intro (1:00) Live from Aronimink (3:16) Wizards got the No. 1 pick - who should they take?
