As daylight faded and the moorland sky burned a deep orange, the quiet stretch of the A640 near Huddersfield appeared serene. A local resident, David Sykes, was out jogging along a remote country road between the Nont Sarahs pub and the B6114 junction. The route, typically bypassed in favour of the faster M62 motorway, was nearly deserted. On the verge of the road lay a grim discovery; evidence that someone had chosen this isolated spot not just for its peaceful scenery, but they thought it would be the ideal place to dispose of a body… *** LISTENER CAUTION IS ADVISED *** This episode was researched and written by Eileen Macfarlane.Edited by Joel Porter at Dot Dot Dot Productions.Script editing, additional writing, illustrations and production direction by Rosanna FittonNarration, additional audio editing and mixing, and script editing by Benjamin Fitton. To get early ad-free access, including Season 1, sign up for They Walk Among PLUS, available from Patreon or Apple Podcasts.More information and episode references can be found on our website https://theywalkamonguspodcast.comMUSIC: Firewall by Cody Martin Dark Night by Cody Martin Forbidden Wing by Cody Martin Half Empty by Cody Martin Kalahari by Cody Martin Loaves & Fish by Cody Martin Storms Coming by Cody Martin Tesseract by Cody Martin Negative Thoughts by Craig Allen Fravel Gravity by Caleb Etheridge Enigma by Hill Unexpected Turn by Moments Stasis Interrupted by Dresden the Flamingo Rag Doll by Wicked Cinema Rogue Asset by Wicked Cinema The Curse by Wicked Cinema The Unexplained by Wicked Cinema Vanished by Wicked Cinema SOCIAL MEDIA: https://linktr.ee/TheyWalkAmongUsSupport this show http://supporter.acast.com/theywalkamongus. In the latest episode from Rail Technology Magazine, we delve into the crucial topic of freight transport and its evolution towards a net-zero railway. With climate change at the forefront of global discussions, the rail freight sector must adapt and innovate to meet ambitious carbon reduction targets. Our expert panel, featuring Phil Smart, Daniel Fredrikson, Joshua Jordan-Boddey, and Toby Rackliff, provides invaluable insights into the importance of freight transport for the UK economy. Phil Smart highlights that every individual is a user of the freight railway, whether they realise it or not, emphasising the role of rail in transporting goods that are essential to our daily lives.A significant focus of the discussion is the need to transition freight from road to rail, particularly in congested areas like the M62 corridor. Daniel Fredriksson points out that raising awareness about the existing rail services and terminals is key to facilitating this shift. Innovations such as intermodal services are already making strides in this direction, but more needs to be done to improve connectivity and capacity.Decarbonisation is another critical theme explored in the episode. The panel discusses the potential of alternative energy solutions such as hydrogen fuel cells and battery-powered trains. While hydrogen technology is being trialled in other countries, experts caution that it may not yet be a viable solution for heavy freight transport. Instead, electrification remains the most effective way to reduce emissions and improve efficiency in the rail freight sector. The conversation also touches on the importance of technology in enhancing operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact. With advancements in digital monitoring and data analytics, rail operators can optimise maintenance and improve the performance of freight services. As the episode concludes, the panel emphasises the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders in the freight sector, including government, industry, and local authorities. By working together, they can create a more sustainable and efficient rail freight network that meets the demands of a decarbonised future. For anyone interested in the future of freight transport and sustainability, this episode is a must-listen Hosted on Acast. In the latest episode of the Scouser Tommies Podcast, Jim Boardman and Jay Reid have loads to discuss, including the Champions League draw, the trips to Man City and Newcastle, the games against Wolves and Villa, and some comedy from the neighbours. It was hardly a surprise when the draw was made that Liverpool got PSG, and so Liverpool fans are facing another trip to a city that was the opposite of welcoming last time the club were there. Those were different circumstances, a final no less, but being back there will stir some unhappy memories that had nothing to do with football. As for the football itself, Jay and Jim are broadly in agreement with Arne Slot about what the challenge will be, and how those trophies don't win themselves. Our words not his. Before any of that though there's a trip to the far side of Manchester for the game against Pep's faltering heroes. Fresh from embarrassment against Real Madrid, is this one of the worst times to play them? The league table suggests their hopes of silverware this season rests completely on the FA Cup, but they won't want to make life easy for the team currently in prime position to take that Premier League title from them. Recent games for Liverpool, whilst not including a single league defeat, haven't exactly shown the Reds at their Arne Slot best. But is that not just been Liverpool's way for years when playing against supposedly easier foes? As Arne points out, unlike other European leagues, there's quality all the way through the Premier League, but at times it does feel like that message hasn't got through to the players, and, sometimes, the fans. By the time players have turned up and the crowd has turned it up the fight has already started and damage has been done. When it comes to the biggest games, there's a version of LFC that is capable of beating anyone, anywhere. Here's hoping it's the one that turns up down the M62 this weekend. Those last two games include a win against Wolves, albeit with a slightly nervy ending, and a draw against fellow members of the Champions League top eight, Aston Villa. Jay and Jim discuss those games, and as a result the injury list that is just starting to grow. Despite Cody Gakpo missing through injury and Darwin Nunez just missing, there are still players to choose from up front, even without sticking Curtis Jones up there as an experiment. But it's at the back where it feels like there may be worrying times ahead. So far so good in terms of how well the squad has coped with the never-ending list of back-to-back fixtures, but it's hard not to think Liverpool have been tempting fate by keeping their hands in their pockets during the most recent transfer windows. And it's not just in terms of having cover and competition for the positions where the Reds have some of the world's best players. It's about having options when up against different types of team. As for Darwin, is it time to accept he's not going to become the player we thought he might, or is there still something there? And are we handling him right as a club? Now we know when the Champions League games will be played we have a clearer view of how the fixtures are going to pan out for the Reds from now into April, and none of it looks particularly easy - but nobody ever said it was easy to win cups. As always, that lot from across the park (soon to be that lot from the middle of nowhere down by the docks), provide us with plenty to chuckle about. Learn more about your ad choices. Five writers and artists not normally associated with classical music, discuss a specific example of Vaughan Williams' work to which they have a personal connection, and why it speaks to them. Following on from the successful Five Kinds of Beethoven Radio 3 essay series in 2020, where a wide range of Beethoven fans shared their personal relationship to the composer and his work, this new series gives similar treatment to Vaughan Williams. Our essayists share their unexpected perspective on Vaughan Williams' work, taking it outside the standard ‘English pastoral' box, in a series of accessible essays, part of the Vaughan Williams season on Radio 3. Luke Turner – nature writer and music journalist The Wasps – Aristophanic Suite was an EMI and John Player Special cassette tape that Luke's family listened to on long car journeys in the 1980s. Obviously the cassette opens with The Lark Ascending, but like a pop smash hit drawing your attention to an album, that piece was merely the introduction to The Wasps - Aristophanic Suite on the second side, played by the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vernon Handley. It became the soundtrack to Luke's growing awareness of the English landscape as it passed by the windows, not in a simple, bucolic way, but the complexities of the place, the baked bean orange of traffic lights on the M62 over the Yorkshire Moors, the strange Cold War military installations that seemed to be everywhere, motorway reservations and the endless traffic jams around the Kings Lynn Roundabout. The piece also captures for Luke an awareness of how music works, how it combines with emotion and experience to become integral to memory, how something called The Wasps could have next to nothing to do with the insects, how his young mind could place onto this music whatever his imagination brought forward. It feels like many of his generation and certainly in his profession as a music journalist see Vaughan Williams as quite an establishment figure or quite conservative, but The Wasps was psychedelic music that made inroads into Luke's imagination, and unleashed the possibilities of sound connecting to place. Luke Turner is a writer and editor. He co-founded the influential music website The Quietus where he runs a regular podcast and radio show. He has contributed to the Guardian, Dazed & Confused, Vice, NME, Q, Mojo, Monocle, Nowness and Somesuch Stories, among other publications. His first book, Out of the Woods, was shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize. Born in Bradford, he lives in London. Jacob's played on-off for Rastrick for since he was but a lad so it was good to hear his thoughts on how they've started the season, and frankly, that completely bonkers match at Mirfield Parish Cavaliers. We have everything from the ubiquitous “Greys,” to Reptilians, Nordic humanoids, and many others. At times it seems that we have a menagerie of different alien species allegedly going about their business on our world, but some of these are even weirder than most. Here we will look at a selection of cases of what seem to be inscrutable and very alien robotic humanoids or metal men of some sort, and they are quite the rare and very bizarre type of alien encounter, indeed. On the evening of March 17th, 1978, a man by the name of Ken Edwards was driving to his home in Warrington, England from his job as a service engineer. It was a long, lonely stretch of road, with few cars and nothing but the lane lines flickering by, but as he stared ahead with his mind off on other things, something very bizarre would bloom out from the night to change his life forever and go on to become one of the weirdest humanoid encounters there is. As he drove along the M62 motorway past the nuclear facility in the nearby district of Risley, he noticed some movement on a nearby embankment, and when he slowed down to get a better look, he could see that it was a massive humanoid figure, 7 or 8 feet in height, and that it was walking in a robotic, disjointed fashion. As it came ambling closer to his headlights, he could see that it was even more bizarre than he had thought, covered in what looked like silver skin, with a black, featureless mask of some kind, glowing eyes, and two small arms that jutted out directly from its chest. Edwards would claim that he had the strong sense that this was some sort of otherworldly robotic humanoid, and it would only get stranger from there.

Josh is one of three apprentices who are guests on the podcast this week, marking National Apprenticeship Week, where he talks about his experience of being one of the lads, how he's loving the variety, his ideas for informing the public and even how he helped a driver who was having a suspected heart attack. Before Josh on the show, Lauren Cooper and Lauren Weaver of Kier tell us about their apprenticeships and why they chose to go down that career path. “I was going to do a levels and then go on university… but then I heard about the apprenticeship route, which I wasn't too aware of to be honest,” explains Lauren Cooper adding that “I decided to go into highlights because it kind of interests me… working on the infrastructure around us,” while Lauren Weaver said she didn't want to learn five days a week anymore by doing a degree.  “I knew the apprenticeship route for being able to continue my learning, but also starting to get experience,” she explains. “I wanted to start earning and… actually doing the job that I knew I wanted to be in.” The trio have some great insights into what it's like to start a career, and give some food for thought who are recruiters, and why going down the graduate route may not always be the best option. The podcast also hears who this week's Adrian's Accolade goes to, and a summary of some of the stories brought to you over the past few days on the Highways News website. The latest episode of the Squawka Talker podcast looks at the sensational crop of Portuguese talent currently dominating English football and asks the question - who is the best Portuguese star in the Premier League in 2021? Host Feargal Brennan is joined by Squawka's chief football writer Muhammad Butt and Portuguese football expert Tom Kundert to run the rule over the wave of Portuguese superstars making a decisive impact on the Premier League title race. The guys assess the pros and cons of Cristiano Ronaldo's first few months back at Manchester United, as the goals continue to fly in for the 36-year-old, but so do the questions of how he fits into Ralf Rangnick's emerging tactical system. There is also the battle of the diminutive schemers, as Diogo Jota and Bernardo Silva grab the headlines at opposite ends of the M62 for Liverpool and Manchester City, plus the phenomenal transformation of Joao Cancelo under Pep Guardiola. Alongside their eye-catching performances in English football, the team also review the latest position of the Portugal national side as Fernando Santos struggles to strike a balance in his all star side, ahead of their crunch 2022 World Cup play off in March 2022.

Episode 10 of the 20/21 season opens with reds; Terry and Phil discussing Liverpool’s 5-0 thrashing of Atalanta in the week, taking them to the top of group D in the Champions League with a top drawer performance from new man Diogo Jota, culminating in a hat trick. Focus then turns to the blues who were defeated 3-1 at home by Manchester United, their third defeat in a row after an excellent start to the season. Judgy is particularly disappointed with the first half performance of Allan and also midfield partner, Doucoure, who missed 2 good chances towards the end of the game. The lack lustre performance from the blues saw many of our listeners raising concerns about tempo and individual performances and blue panelist Judgy accepts much of the criticism, but makes sure to insert the caveat that without Richarlison and a fully fit Rodriguez, Everton are severely compromised. Down the M62, Liverpool then took on rivals Manchester City in the late kick-off on Sunday, with the lads believing that a 1-1 draw was probably a fair result in what was a brilliant first half from Liverpool followed by a much improved second half from Manchester City. With no games to preview due to international week, the show closes out with both sides taking questions from listeners

Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer, climbs high across the southern night sky at this time of year. The constellation’s main pattern resembles a coffee urn. It’s on its side, low in the east, as night falls, but stands upright after midnight. Ophiuchus is north of Scorpius and Sagittarius, which point the way to the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. As a result, many star clusters are found inside its borders. The list includes 10 fairly bright globular clusters — tight balls of hundreds of thousands of stars. The one that’s most impressive to look at is Messier 10. It’s near the middle of the urn, and spans about half the size of the Moon. It’s a good target for binoculars, and a very good one for telescopes. The cluster looks so impressive mainly because it’s close — about 14,000 light-years away. It’s about 225,000 times the mass of the Sun. That’s a lot of stars. But it’s puny as globulars go. Most of the other clusters in Ophiuchus are much heavier. Messier 14, for example, is a million times the Sun’s mass. It doesn’t look as bright as M10, though, because it’s twice as far. And Messier 62 is even more impressive — about one-point-two million times the Sun’s mass. It’s closer than M14, but there’s more dust between M62 and Earth, which blocks some of its light. Even so, it’s visible through binoculars — one of the beautiful clusters of the serpent bearer.   Script by Damond Benningfield

A podcast to answer all your questions about productivity, time management, self-development and goal planning. My name is Carl Pullein and I am your host for this show. This week it's all about how to manage all your ideas, particularly if you are someone who has a lot of ideas. The question is what do you do with those ideas and how do you nor forget about them. However, before we get to the answer, I'd like to remind you all of the upcoming Life and Time Mastery workshop in the UK on the 28 December. This workshop is all about helping you plan 2020 and I can't think of a better time than just before the new year celebrations to spend a day with likeminded people who want to turn 2020 into the best year of their lives.  I'll be there to go through a number of strategies you can follow to not only decide what you would like to accomplish in 2020 but also show you ways you can turn those ideas into daily actionable steps. Plus, Kev Blackburn… THE Life Success Engineer will be kicking things off with his legendary lessons on turning your dreams into reality with his high energy, massive action session.  This is a workshop not to be missed and it's in a part of the UK that is easily accessible, just off the M62 in Scunthorpe.  So, no matter where you are in the UK, come and join us in Scunthorpe for a day of discovery, planning and high energy inspiration with a group go incredible people. This is something you will never ever forget. PLUS…. There's a good chance the mystery podcast voice will be making an appearance as well. Now there's a reason to come and join if there ever was one.  All the details for the event are in the show notes.  Speaking of the mystery podcast voice, it's now time for me t hand you over to her for this week's question.  This week's question comes from Nilesh. Nilesh asks… Hi Carl, I noticed that when I make plans for future I often forget about them and then after a few days I make new ones. It's really slowing down my growth and decreasing my productivity. Is there anything I can do about it? Hi Nilesh, thank you for your question. I am sure this one will be very helpful to a lot of people.  If you are adding tasks about future plans and then almost immediately forgetting you added them one of two things is likely to be happening.  Firstly, you are not developing your ideas or plans outside your to-do list manager or secondly, you are not going over all your tasks, projects and areas of focus on a weekly basis. Or it could be a combination of both.  Of course, it could be your ideas and plans are not important enough to you which means you will forget them very quickly anyway.  Let's deal with the first one—you are not developing your ideas properly.  Now, what I mean by this is from the moment we have an idea, that's all you have. An idea. All ideas need some form of development and some time to incubate. If you are adding ideas straight into your to-do list manager's inbox and then turning them into a project without fleshing them out, you are going find a lot of those ideas will disappear inside your to-do list never to be seen again.  Now, it's okay to collect your ideas into your to-do list manager's inbox, but before you turn it into a project or area of focus you should develop it first. That could be in a notes app or on a simple piece of paper. What is the outcome you want from this idea? Why do you want to do it? What's your motivation for wanting to do this project? And what steps or actions do you need to take to make this idea become reality?  These questions and more need developing before you turn it into a fully-fledged project in your to-do list. It could be that once you have developed it, you decide you no longer want to do it. Which is another reason for not turning everything into a project immediately. If after developing your idea you have no motivation for doing it, it will sink to the bottom of your projects and die a slow death.  Okay, so let's assume you have fleshed out your idea and you decided it is something worth pursuing, what do you do next? Well, that means it's time to move it to your to-do list manager.  Now, I pull out the tasks when I develop my ideas and put them at the bottom of my development note. This just makes it a lot easier to send everything over to my to-do list manager once I have planned out my idea. I can copy and paste the full list of tasks straight to Todoist and Todoist will create tasks for each line.  Another advantage of planning and fleshing out your ideas first is you get to see exactly what will be involved in doing the project. You can then make better decisions about what needs to happen next and more importantly when you will start the project. There have been many times when I had an idea and really really wanted to start it straight away. But after I had fleshed our my thoughts and ideas, I realised I really didn't have the time or resources available at that time to do it, so I was able to put the project into a holding area.  To avoid forgetting about the project once you have it in your holding area, all you need do is add a review task to the top of your action list. Something like “review this idea” and add a date to that one task.  I like to think of my holding area as something similar to how air traffic controllers ‘stack' incoming flights in a ‘holding pattern' before initiating the landing procedure. You cannot do all your projects at the same time, just like you cannot land all the planes at the same time. There has to be a sequence—a priority. Now those priorities depend on when a project is due, whether there is a genuine time sensitivity or the possibility of a missed opportunity if you do not start the project now. All of these factors need to be considered. And, of course, you can divert projects to another airport—or in our case delegate them to someone else.  Now to me, a review task does not necessarily mean I must start the project that day. All it means is I can decide if I want to start it. If I decide to start it, I will complete the decision task and date the first task that needs to be done.  If I am not ready to start the project, I will re-date the reminder task for a future date - usually one month later.  Developing ideas this way means there's no way I can forget about an idea. There will always be a note in my notes app to back me up and I will have at the very least a review date in my task manager to ensure I am not forgetting anything important.  On the other hand, it could be you are not going over your projects and areas of focus on a weekly level—the weekly review. If you are not looking at and reviewing everything in your to-do list manager at least once a week, of course, things will get forgotten and missed. There's simply far too much going on in our world for us to remember everything. That's why the weekly review is so important—even more so today. And if you are the kind of person who is always having new ideas, you do need a place to keep those ideas for future reference and or development and then review them, to decide whether something is still relevant.  Just as air traffic controllers need to be aware of what they have on their radar screens, you too need to be aware of what you have in your holding area so accidents do not happen. Missed deadlines, incomplete projects and or missed opportunities. That's where the weekly review comes in. It prevents those things from happening.  The thing is, if something is important enough, you will find the time to work on it. If it is not important enough to you, you will procrastinate and not do anything about it. It's the old “if it's important enough you will find a way, if it is not you will find an excuse” situation.  Another good reason for keeping your ideas in a notes app or notebook until you have fleshed them out is if the idea is something you are not really interested in doing, it will soon drop down the list of ideas in your notes. I regularly purge my ideas lists because a lot of ideas I have do not turn into projects. If I were to guess, the percentage of ideas I have that turn in to projects is less than twenty per cent. That means eighty per cent of my ideas will never get started. Now, I do not delete those ideas, I archive them into a single note and review them every six to twelve months, or if I go through an ideas drought, I can pull up that note and see a list of all my past ideas. Often just going though those ideas can spark new, better ideas and I can develop those. Sometimes an old idea suddenly looks very attractive and I will start developing that then. No idea goes to waste and old ideas do not take up a lot of digital space.  So here you go, Nilesh. I hope that has helped. Try not to overthink things, keep it simple and understand that you cannot do everything all at once. You need to prioritise and make sure that the projects you are working on right now are the projects that you really do want to work on right now.  Thank you for your question and thank you to all of you for listening. It just remains for me now to wish you all a very very productive week.

It's Immaterial special with John Campbell in conversation talking about life in music. It's Immaterial were formed by three former members of Yachts - Mancunian John Campbell vocals, Martin Dempsey guitar, and Henry Priestman keyboards - in addition to Paul Barlow, drums. By 1984, the band had been reduced to a duo - Campbell and Jarvis Whitehead, guitar and keyboards, who joined in 1982. On 11 November 1981, around the time of the release of the band’s third single, It's Immaterial recorded the first of four sessions for John Peel at BBC Radio 1. The track listing was "A Gigantic Raft (in the Philippines)", "Imitate The Worm", "White Man's Hut", and "Rake". "A Gigantic Raft" was featured on the soundtrack of Jonathan Demme's 2004 remake of The Manchurian Candidate. In April 1985, the band recorded their fourth and final John Peel session (track listing: "Rope", "Hang On Sleepy Town", "Space", and "Festival Time"). In the same month, the band's Fish Waltz EP reached number 30 in the UK Indie Chart. Less than a year later the band had a hit single with "Driving Away From Home (Jim's Tune)". ('John Campbell puts his foot down on the pedal – ever so gently – to cruise out along the M62. A Mini-Midwestern road movie transported to Liverpool'. This song was their biggest hit and has since featured widely on television advertisements and on 1980s based compilation albums.[citation needed] Another minor hit followed, "Ed's Funky Diner (Friday Night, Saturday Morning)", with accompanying video, before the release of the band's debut album, Life's Hard and Then You Die, in September 1986. In 1990 they released their second album Song. As before, the music was of a subdued, understated nature, with wry wit in the manner of an indie Pet Shop Boys. The album was a commercial flop, despite receiving positive reviews in the music press. The album was produced by Calum Malcolm, best known for his work with The Blue Nile. In the same year as Song, former It's Immaterial keyboard player, Henry Priestman, had a UK number one album The Christians with the band of the same name. Since 2010 some unreleased songs from the album have appeared on different internet music channels. (Track listing (in order of their appearing): "Just North of Here", "New Moon", "Is it Alright (Between us)", "House for Sale" and "How Can I Tell You") A deluxe edition of their album Life's Hard and Then You Die" was released on 1 July 2016. The double CD issue contains the original album remastered plus bonus tracks of single versions, B sides, remixes and one of the group's John Peel sessions. On 23 September 2016 the group launched the campaign to produce and release their "lost and found" album House For Sale via Pledge Music. The pledge target was reached, although an initial tentative release date of Spring 2017 was later postponed to early 2018.

In a game expected to be ultra competitive between two in-form sides, we were treated to nine tries, lead changes & a comeback as Huddersfield Giants showed perhaps they wanted this one that bit more than their hosts from along the M62. Jermaine McGillvary grabbed the Man of the Match award as his three four-pointers helped settle this game, which in both the early stages and as the first half closed out, looked like it Castleford's to lose. It's three wins in a row now for Giants, and despite an off-night for Danny Brough, who missed three straight attempts to add the extras during a period of early second-half domination from the away side, Huddersfield's supporters will only remember this as the night that secured their Super League status for another year. While Giants will head towards the split in terrific form, Castleford have now lost comprehensively to two sides below them all season in the past month, so they'll hope to put that aside next week at Widnes. Another takeaway from this positive period for Giants is the remarkable impact of Simon Woolford, who has certainly proved the naysayers wrong since arriving in the home of rugby league to replace the sacked Rick Stone. The Australian has led the once-relegation-threatened Giants into the Super 8s! Commentary in this game was by Richard Shaw-Wright & Garry Schofield.

I adore Eddie Mair. There. The love affair is public. I just shake my head in wondrous disbelief as he allows radio to be the best it can. The pauses. The short, barbed questions: those daggers covered in cotton wool. The deadpan retorts. The potent questions masquerading as statements. The politeness coated with innocent acid. And - the gifted, gifted teasers at the outset. I could go on. He is a master; and yet maybe not yet recognised sufficiently for his brilliance. I once sat in the car at a lonely filling station on the cold moors of the M62, unable to get out of the car during one of his interviews which had turned into art. Admittedly over a glass of wine, I wrote lovingly to say as much; and Eddie took the trouble to reply. The show for which he is now rightly famous is PM. But it has not always been like that. PM began in 1970, following the 'Broadcasting in the 70s' report which paved the way for the BBC radio services to carve out their own sovereign states. As you can hear on this Boo: William Hardcastle and Derek Cooper heralded a programme which "sums up the day and your evening starts here". It did have a twiddly-pom signature tune, thanks to the Radiophonic workshop. This later gave way to an orchestral piece; and I often dreamed of co-hosting that very show with Valerie Singleton, voicing up to the Da-da-da-da-dah-dah-dah. It was never to happen. Not that she's dead, you understand. She just doesn't care about me. There is no theme now; save for pip pip peep. But Eddie's powerfully-chosen words are better than the best orchestra in the world; or even any fine piece from the delectable Delia Derbyshire. The last sig seemed wrong when the programme covered the death of Princess Diana; and has never since seemed right. PM is the BBC at its best.
