You don't consciously see the clutter and disorganization...but your subconscience mind does. - Maybe this is the year to upgrade EVERYTHING.  3) Create a true business and life 12 month plan.- RETM- Know your real estate magic number etc. - Work on doing no more than 3-5 things every day at the highest level. - Warning, don't share your goals. Last week after a long protracted legal dispute the future for buyer agent commissions (co-op) is in question. For generations the seller 'automatically' paid the commission for the buyers agent. Even though that agent represented the buyer of the transaction. On the surface this made sense. The buyer agent generated the buyer from their efforts and thusly should be paid for bringing the buyer to purchase the home. The argument is that the seller wasn't given the option to pay the buyers agents fee. It was assumed the seller would cover the total commissions for both listing agent and the buyers agent. The buyers agent wouldn't have to convince the buyer to pay their commission because of the (mostly US) co-op agreements the seller would cover the cost. Now it seems all of that may be changing. The real answer is yes, and no. Who you allow to influence you is perhaps the most important decision you will ever make. It's incredibly easy to get caught in an echo chamber of bad information. People waste years, heck lifetimes on bad ideas. They eventually come to blame themselves for not being able to make a bad idea work and then emotionally check out and...quit. If agents were told the real truth about real estate from day one what would happen to the agent failure rate? And yes, we are talking about mastering the art and science of 'Doing what you don't want to do when you don't want to do it at the highest level....for long periods of time".
