Sunday sermons from Chewelah Evangelical Free Church
As Jesus faces rejection in His hometown, He is not deterred from the mission to bring forth the kingdom. The rejection that Jesus and the disciples faced in Nazareth will be instruction for the disciples as they begin their own ministry and face rejection themselves. The question for us is: How are we to handle the rejection of the gospel? The good news is that we are not alone when we face rejection. Jesus and His disciples also faced rejection, and they gave us a model as to what to do when it happens. Visit us online at: www.RenewalChurch.net
The temptation for Christians to resist and even out-right reject Jesus is real. Some resist Him because they have yet to believe in Him while others resist Him out of fear of what He may ask of them. While there are real consequences for rejecting Jesus, there are more benefits of answering His call. All of us at some point will answer the call of Jesus to follow Him. Rejecting or following that call will have real and eternal consequences. Where do you find yourself today as Jesus calls out to you? Sermon Outline @ http://bible.com/events/48796960

This week Rev. Stone brings us a message from Mark 6 where we see two collisions: between Christ and his community; and between the disciples and their mission field. We see a collision with unbelief in the world and in the church. We need to live by faith alone in Christ, rather than Christ plus something else.
