One of the most wonderful feelings in the world is the feeling of being content. Why is it that contentment is so difficult to attain?

In today’s message we pause from our sequential study to draw attention to vitally important mandates and principles that God established in creation. These “creation ordinances” shape our understanding of self and a rightly ordered expression of our humanity. Join us as we survey these fixed and fundamental aspects of creation!
Join us on our Lenten Community Retreat Experience including scripture readings and journal activity ending with a message from the Book of Ecclesiastes. Please read the scripture and journal for 3 minutes for each reading: Genesis 2:15-17 and 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-19, Matthew 4:1-11, Psalm 32.
On this First Sunday in Lent, we explore the concept of temptation and look at the tempting of Jesus as a model to help us understand how giving in to temptation can prevent us from loving God with all our heart, soul and might while resisting temptation helps us stay on the path to loving God.

The supreme creation of God was mankind. When man sees what he was created for and how sin distorted then he will understand why Jesus came to redeem mankind.
Terence R. Little Gen 2:15-17, Mat 4:4, 1Cor 15:22, Rom 3:23, John 3:19, Heb 9:27
From the 9am Sanctuary Service
The Unique Purpose of Mankind included both dominion over the living creatures and a stewardship of resources of the Earth. We are called to be Stewards of this wonderful creation. Even greater though, our supreme, unique purpose was to intimately enjoy relationship with God.

Everything in the story takes a major turn with the introduction of a villain and human rebellion. Despite the boundaries, relationship and provisions, the first man and woman decided to rebel from God resulting in severe consequences. Surprisingly we are reminded here that even when things fall apart, God’s love and perfect plan prevails.

Rev. Stone begins a new sermon series, "Giving Up." This message explores two ways to live: trying to be in control ourselves and living in submission to God.
In this message you'll learn that the goal of Christianity (indeed, the entire New Testament) isn’t ethical behavior…it’s a radical new way of living—LOVE! A powerful look into the foundation of all sin and how to live free of a life of judgment.
