“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9–10 NIV11-GK)

Do we put more faith in our faith than we do in Jesus?
Jesus really did clearly identify Himself as the Messiah and God. The Jewish leaders just didn’t want to hear it. We have every reason to listen to what Jesus says, though, because the words He speaks give eternal life.
In all we do, we have to seek God's wisdom. We could surround ourselves with experts in areas where we need direction. Listen to their counsels and get confirmation. Nevertheless, you still have to seek the Lord's face for His final say. Draw near to God, resist the devil, humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up! Our desire should always be getting close to God, hear His voice through the scripture and you will never lose direction. Listen and share!

Jesus is our Good Shepherd. This means his love is best seen in his laying down his life for us. Last week, we spoke of the loving side of Jesus as the shepherd, today we look at his strength. A shepherd must be willing to fight for his sheep, to lay down his life and risk his limbs to fight away the predators that assail them on every side. In this world, we will have many seeking to harm and destroy us – if not our bodies than, more importantly, our souls. Yet, we fear not, for we have a good and mighty shepherd, one who is more than ready to fight our enemies and make us dwell in security! Today, let us meditate on the strength of Jesus.

Rev. Ann Deibert preaching on John 10:22-30
Throughout the literature of the Bible, there is a link between the power of the voice and the omnipresent image of Shepherd. As a preacher, anytime I speak of “hearing the voice of God” or “Christ speaking to us” I know that a number of people will assume and hope that I am speaking symbolically; a number will look down at their bulletins in awkward silence; and a number will say to themselves “God has spoken to me, but if I say anything about it, people might avoid me.” Wherever you fall among these numbers, please stay with me. Larry Hayward preaches on the Fourth Sunday of Easter. The Scripture lesson is John 10:22-30.
Jesus promises to be our shepherd. We don’t have to wander in darkness or feel lost. We have the power to live free for God’s glory and give all that we have to Jesus.
One of the great joys of life in Christ is the fellowship we have with other believers as members of His flock
Jesus answered... "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me... and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10 v27-30
