"One day David asked, “Is anyone in Saul's family still alive—anyone to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan's sake?” 2 He summoned a man named Ziba, who had been one of Saul's servants. “Are you Ziba?” the king asked. “Yes sir, I am,” Ziba replied. The king then asked him, “Is anyone still alive from Saul's family? If so, I want to show God's kindness to them.” Ziba replied, “Yes, one of Jonathan's sons is still alive. He is crippled in both feet.” “Where is he?” the king asked. “In Lo-debar,” Ziba told him, “at the home of Makir son of Ammiel.” So David sent for him and brought him from Makir's home. His name was Mephibosheth; he was Jonathan's son and Saul's grandson. When he came to David, he bowed low to the ground in deep respect. David said, “Greetings, Mephibosheth.” Mephibosheth replied, “I am your servant.” “Don't be afraid!” David said. “I intend to show kindness to you because of my promise to your father, Jonathan. I will give you all the property that once belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will eat here with me at the king's table!” Mephibosheth bowed respectfully and exclaimed, “Who is your servant, that you should show such kindness to a dead dog like me?” Then the king summoned Saul's servant Ziba and said, “I have given your master's grandson everything that belonged to Saul and his family. You and your sons and servants are to farm the land for him to produce food for your master's household. But Mephibosheth, your master's grandson, will eat here at my table.” (Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.) Ziba replied, “Yes, my lord the king; I am your servant, and I will do all that you have commanded.” And from that time on, Mephibosheth ate regularly at David's table, like one of the king's own sons." - 2 Samuel 9:1-11 NLTRestore Church | Yorkville, ILSunday Mornings | 10 AMJordan & Melissa Gash, Pastorshttps://www.restorechurchyorkville.com

Join Pastor Stuart for the first sermon in the series, One of Us. Today, we look at John 1:1-14 to hear a message . . . "The Mystery of the Incarnation". In this message, we are encouraged to see the incarnation as a deeply profound and unfathomable mystery. At the same time, we need to understand that the incarnation is foundational to knowing God and experiencing salvation. The appropriate response to the mystery of the incarnation is awestruck worship. So let's earnestly ponder the reality of Jesus, God in the flesh, that we would worship and adore him. "This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness." - Ephesians 4:17-24 NKJV Restore Church | Yorkville, ILSunday Mornings | 10 AMJordan & Melissa Gash, Pastorshttps://www.restorechurchyorkville.com

Join Pastor Stuart for the ninth and final lesson in our series, High Hopes. Today, we look at 1 Peter 3:13-16 to hear a message . . . "Hope to be Shared". In this message, we are encouraged to always be ready to explain our hope in Christ. Here are some of the main points from the sermon: Being prepared begins and ends (and includes everything in-between) with Jesus. When we share our hope with others, we do so with gentleness and respect. We also want to make sure we have a good conscience when we give a reason for our hope. Let's grow deeper in the hope we have in Christ and share that hope with others. You can learn more about Westminster Presbyterian Church at https://www.westminsterpca.net. Join Pastor Stuart for the seventh lesson in our series, High Hopes. Today, we look at Colossians 1:24-27 to hear a message . . . "Christ in You, the Hope of Glory". In this message, we hear the following points: We are to find great encouragement in these seven words: Christ in you, the hope of glory. Christ dwells with and in his people by the Holy Spirit. The hope God promises in Christ is glory. Because Christ dwells in us by the Spirit, we who believe are guaranteed glory. These truths give us great confidence not simply for the future, but also for today. So let's live in a way that demonstrates Christ lives in us and he is our hope of glory. Join Pastor Stuart for the sixth lesson in our series, High Hopes. Today, we look at 1 Peter 1:3-5 to hear a message . . . "A Living Hope". Today, we are reminded that: All who trust in Jesus have a living hope. This hope is “alive” because Jesus is alive. Because Jesus has been raised from the dead, we who believe have new life as well. This living hope contains the promise that we are guarded by God's power for the glorious inheritance of our comprehensive salvation. So let's live out this living hope we have in Christ.
