In this sermon, Karl Ihfe delves into Matthew 28:16-20, examining Jesus' appearance to his disciples on a mountain and the Great Commission. He highlights the disciples' mixed reaction of worship and doubt, drawing a parallel to Peter's experience of walking on water (Matthew 14:28-31). Ihfe emphasizes Jesus' authority over all things and His plan to use the church to spread His kingdom. The speaker challenges the notion of following Jesus without the church, stressing that Jesus' plan involves His followers working together to make disciples. He encourages graduates and all believers to see their roles in life as opportunities to bring God's kingdom to earth. Ihfe concludes by reminding the congregation of their legacy in the faith and urging them to courageously live out the Great Commission in their daily lives. https://bwaychurch.org

Have you ever experienced the power of a true blessing? In this heartfelt Senior Sunday message, Eric shares a personal story of being blessed in a moment of fear and uncertainty — a reminder of how deeply the gift of blessing can renew and strengthen us. If you're new to faith or still exploring, this is the perfect Sunday to jump in: you'll see the heart of our church's vision — building up the next generation. Eric unpacks how God's blessing isn't just words, but a way to bring heaven's power into our lives, teaching us how to call down His joy and peace over others. You'll leave reminded that the greatest gift we can give our seniors — or anyone — is not more stuff, but the shining face of God over their lives.

What are some of the benefits we can experience today because of Jesus' resurrection? 5. In Eph 1:18-23 Paul talks about how we can experience resurrection power today. How have you experienced resurrection power in your life? What area in your life needs to experience this benefit today? The Future Resurrection6. 1 Cor 15:20 refers to Jesus' resurrection as the “firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” What are you looking most forward to about experiencing the future resurrection and having a resurrection body? Why is it important that we think and talk about this future hope we have in Christ?7. DA Carson said, “I am not suffering from anything that a good, general resurrection can't fix.” What are you looking most forward to being “fixed” by our future resurrection in Christ?8. Is it helpful to you to think about the resurrection of the past, present, and future? Explain. This is Ascension Sunday and Senior Sunday, and Ken finds some similarity between the two. Graduating high school closes a chapter, but it's not an end - it's the beginning of something else. When Jesus returned from the dead, the disciples thought he would restore Israel, but instead, he's suddenly gone, like David Blaine. The disciples are left stranded, sure that this is suddenly the end. But they're wrong. There's something they're not expecting on the horizon. Acts 1:1-13 fmhouston.com

Today, we celebrate senior Sunday with our Radite Students and hear Chip Paul, our Student Pastor, deliver a powerful sermon about chasing God's presence over our purpose. What does it truly mean to experience God's presence? Through the story of Moses leading the people of Israel, we learn the difference between presence and purpose. In the stillness of His presence, we can find clarity and direction for our purpose. It's His presence that sets us apart from the rest of the world. Are you experiencing the presence of God? Are you finding your purpose inside His presence? As always, we'd love to take the time to answer any questions you have about Jesus, so reach out today. Take the next step in your faith journey by visiting burnthickory.com/next.
