The directional goal for Highland is that we gather, grow and go for God’s glory.
The Highland Baptist Church - Sermons podcast has been an incredible find for me. I stumbled upon it when my grandma was playing it, and I didn't even realize that sermons were available on podcasts. It has truly been a game changer for me. As someone who enjoys taking notes during sermons, I have often struggled with pastors who speak too quickly. However, the quality of the sermons at Highland Baptist Church is exceptional, and while John Durham may speak fast at times, I am grateful that I can go back and listen to them again at my own pace. Praise God for this wonderful resource!
One of the best aspects of The Highland Baptist Church - Sermons podcast is the biblical truth that is consistently presented in each sermon. The pastors, including John Durham, Mark Wible, Drew Humphrey, and others, are exceptional teachers who possess a deep understanding of Scripture. Their exegesis is top-notch, and they are able to communicate complex theological concepts in a way that is accessible to all listeners. This podcast provides an enriching spiritual experience and an opportunity to grow in one's faith.
While there are many positive aspects to this podcast, one potential downside is the speed at which some of the pastors speak. As mentioned earlier, John Durham can be quite fast-paced in his delivery. For listeners who prefer a slower pace or struggle to keep up with rapid speech, this may pose a challenge. However, as mentioned before, the ability to go back and re-listen to sermons can mitigate this issue.
In conclusion, The Highland Baptist Church - Sermons podcast has been a blessing for me personally. Moving away from my church home of 17 years was difficult, but being able to continue hearing biblical truth from Highland Baptist Church regardless of my location has brought immense comfort and joy to my life. The teachers at Highland are some of the best you could study under if you desire deep scriptural knowledge and understanding. Overall, this podcast is a wonderful resource for anyone seeking to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Word of God.
