Less than a month until TGS 2021, we have the outline of events for the show. I'll go down the list, highlight the big moments, and speculate what we might see. Always the highlight of the JRPG year, let's hope for a great event! We've got news from SMT V about its characters and systems. Demon Gaze EXTRA has a release date, and surprise it's a worldwide one. Final Fantasy titles are coming to Playstation Now as FF XIII hits Xbox Gamepass. I've got first details about a new game coming to PC in Q1 2022: Rise of the Third Power. The retro looking title is another love letter to SNES JRPG's and looks very interesting. Curious what exactly is in Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 1? I read a great article from Siliconera all about the two PS2 classics included. Lastly I have two interviews with the teams behind Tales of Luminaria and the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters. Leave us a 5 star review on Apple and I'll read it on an upcoming podcast! In this episode, ojjjuj and I talk about Earthbound AT LENGTH. It's a mid-90s SNES JRPG (seems like I've typed something similar before) that can't be described without using the word 'unique'. The episode is accidentally a two-parter, but we'll need a third to finish the game off someday! Whoops! We talk about where it fails as a game and what problems are overblown, the incredible, anachronistic music, the unique setting and NPCs, and more. This episode covers from the beginning of the game to the middle of Fourside, and the second episode will cover the remainder of Fourside through Summers & Scaraba. Show Notes: What a beautiful Duwang Miles Gloriosus (particularly around 1 minute in)

We attempt our first in a... well, possible series of looking at terrible RPGs with the baffling, barely translated, Super Ninja Boy. This early SNES JRPG takes some great ideas and combines them with inscrutible translation, laggy controls, and the highest random encounter ratio of any game we've ever played. We're joined from the Comrade Radio Boss Malcolm Nygard for this exercise in self-harm. I hope you like it!
