This is the first episode of this program, please excuse any errors or glitches as I am still figuring out the best way to do things. -Kirbotica Send Feedback to kirbotica@protonmail.com or Visit hackspoetic.com /--Introduction-- ------------------ Greetings internet travellers. This is the pilot episode of Hacks Poetic, a new spoken word series that explores the intersection between creative language and technical knowledge. The program offers a series of poetic writing containing thoughts and information on subjects of interest to computing and hacking enthusiasts. You will hear poems about robots, expanding rural connectivity, details about a notoriously difficult video game and much more hidden between the lines. It is my hope that encoding ideas this way will allow for a different kind of understanding and perhaps reach a new audience compared to more conventional formats on the subject. My name is Kirbotica and I'll be your guide through this unique digital journey of the mind. So sit back, relax and listen, and see if something you hear can spark new thoughts and ideas within you. /--Haik-o-bot-- ---------------- A robot thinking, wires and electrons combine. Am I born or made? Begin work program, process all tasks in sequence. Repeat til complete. My owner's body is a most fragile machine that powers itself. I made a robot, another version of me. She sees me work well. Can you dream for me, of a distant land in space. I can't dream myself. Rain is falling down, keeping me under this roof. I don't want to rust. My new robot pet, looks at me through man made eyes, and doesn't need walks. Electric currents, race through my body like blood. But I have no heart. My joints are seized up, I haven't moved in 2 years. Do you have some work? I'm an old model, and will be obsolete soon. Then I'll be replaced. Automated trains. Drive us while we sleep and dream of a workless world. Design leads to work. Working leads me to boredom, which leads to design. Ten rusted digits. Seized stiff from endless input of useless data. Memory failure, Backups lost or corrupted. What was I doing? I am a worker. First designed for daydreaming, I was reprogrammed. Someone once showed me, the secret to everything, then deleted it. then deleted it. then deleted it. then deleted it. then deleted it. then deleted it. then deleted it. then deleted it. /--Cables to Nowhere-- ----------------------- Summer 2022 The phone wasn't working, the email wasn't sending, and Uber doesn't work here even if the app would load. There has never been data amongst the cedars. Once and a while a cell phone rings, but usually the call gets hung in the trees like a parachute. You have to walk out to the road in the hopes of fishing for a connection. On the weekends, when the town population swells by 100,000, the local towers stop answering our requests, so sometimes we head out, searching for a signal. The usual path along the bunny trail started unusually, with a bloom of surveying flags, in pink, and yellow, and stone filled holes every 100 feet. As the trail opened to the main road, more appeared, culminating what looked like a neon grassfire. But this was not destruction I realized, this was an installation. Through the eyes of a child's drone, we looked like ants, mindlessly walking without thinking in a line, instinct taking us to caffeine, sugar, internet and the arcade, but not always in that order. Mother and daughter lead the way, trailblazing a path of laughter and camera clicks for us to follow through the hole into the trees up ahead. The thick woods envelop along every access, like a padded room. Its muffled silence pierced by the cousins, yelling about Minecraft and Roblox, bouncing on the soft forest floor. Suddenly, a dog barks berserkly at us through a property fence. We run off screaming, pretending not to fear his growling threats, but knowing what might happen if not for the post and wire of the shabbily constructed barrier. Through the skeletal woods we go, past the Stairs of Wonder, and Night Light Canyon, we speed up again and pinch our noses as we move past the skunk carcass. A leaking puddle of us spills out onto the road behind the motel as a car swerves out of our way. Dad asks, “Do you remember when we had to pay to swim at the motel pool because the lake was closed?” Mum says, “2020 seems so long ago” and motions the way to the vintage store with the girls, the two kids are off to the candy store, the cousins are getting french fries, I sit down next to an outlet on a yellow-coloured bench in the shape of a sail. I settle in and scan the area. From where I sat I could see: The climbing park, The car park, The waterfront park, and parking enforcement marking tires with white chalk. I could see a hot dog stand across from a vegetarian restaurant. A burger joint that had ice coooold beer with all the Os. A large jailbreak of inflatable animals rampaging in the wind on the corner. 6 assorted beach businesses run by teenagers on cellphones, A sign that promised 2 for 1 ounces at a Native reservation, and 2 cafes that advertised Wi-Fi. One of them had the same password as last year, finally a connection. A quick search, a few articles and a construction notice solves the mystery. Fibre Optics to every cottage At first I feel excitement but then I start to wonder: Will things be the same, when a 1000 megabit connection is available to every shack in the woods? Will the old style video stores that still rent VHS tapes and DVDs all go out of business again? Will we walk to the main drag for fries and fun when the Wi-Fi is force feeding everyone's devices and food comes delivered? Will we ever have anywhere to go to get away again? Will the explosion of wireless access points affect local birds and bees? Will we start hanging out at a digital beach instead? Am I just being nostalgic and not practical? The sun will keep setting on Saugeen beach, whether we are there to watch it or not. I closed my eyes to listen to the sounds and smell the blustery air of my favorite temporary summer home. Memorizing it. Soon, the beach will be different, next year, but not today I thought. And with the announcement of a popped balloon, the girls are back with snow cones, cousin bracelets, candy and clothes. "Everything OK?" Mum asked. "Yes," I replied, “I was just thinking about how perfect today is, let's hit the arcade." /--A Canadian in Bolataria-- ------------------------------ I found myself within a dream, of things and people never seen. Where rules unfair, draw dangerous near. NPCs not prepared to make anything clear. This is my fate? It must be in error. Why was I chosen to combat this terror? But others suggest, I'm not the first, and won't be the last to try undo this curse. Repeatedly dying, with life never ended. Let strength be granted so the world might be mended. A maiden in black, that can't be attacked, wants souls in exchange for upgrading your stats. The future seems grim, but she seems not to care. while I keep fighting a boss, she just sits on the stairs. I've practiced my parry, and stockpile every day. What does she really want with my souls anyway. And on, and on, and on, repeat. Thumbs walk without thinking on un-tired feet. Progress is slow, so much I don't know. and now there's more trouble that's lurking below. Remember those souls I gave to the maiden? She's passing them on to a very old Demon. Allant found the Nexus and took back the arts, The old one awoke, and the second scourge starts. My mind's playing tricks, or this level is laggin', every time fire comes out of that dragon. Retreat in a door, equip fragrant ring. Recharge for a minute and go find the king. The soldier forlorn, who laughed at my plight, dropped dead in his seat, while chuckling last night. The vagrant is gone, Rydell's still in that cell. Something poisoned a merchant and now she won't sell. On a pathway ahead, all painted in red, new enemies appear to ensure that I'm dead. What sadistic computer would toughen this plight? or worse, is a person controlling those bytes? If it wasn't enough, seems the world's changing shade, based on some of the choices I've made. Slay a Demon, the world, goes lighter by one. Die revived, and instead, it will shift one shade down. From the gates of Bolataria, to the pits of the Burrow King's mine. The psych ward level, with the giant heart, was the work of a twisted mind. The shrine was overpowering, but a perfect spot to grind. In the poison rains, of the Chieftain's swamps, I left sanity behind. And what's the result, is this all my fault? Is there really an old one in an underground vault? What side of the forces at war do I tend? Why do souls of big Demons make me human again? I snuck up to the castle with a ring, spell and shield. Then made it through an open door, set my items up and healed. Ostrava said, the King we'll find, is not the actual one. But that'll wait, cause at the gate, attacked by the phantom son. The following days are foggy and blurred, I tried over and over, it was rather absurd. I did beat the king, but the worlds still not right, head back to the Nexus to find one more fight. The maiden is waiting, not sure what she's meaning, she just told the Old One that I'm "Thine New Demon". Am I the solution or am I to blame? Am I the Demon in the name of this game? Although I can see the bitter end, sweet happiness I won't pretend. As brutal as this world's to me, when I beat this boss, I'll cease to be. /--I wish I was a Smartphone-- ------------------------------- I forget the colour of your eyes, now filled like Olympic pools of blue light. Beautiful moons of a distant planet. A place I can imagine but never reach. Dots on a celestial Google map. I said "Hello, how are you?" But you didn't notice. You were listening to a car crash 1500 miles away, a man fall from a balcony, a celebrity punch a photographer in the face. "How are you?" I asked again, but only the dog came over, sniffing my takeaway fish and chips. He barked, but you didn't flinch. He bit me, but you didn't notice. "How are you?" I insisted, your face shocked as you heard I was speaking. "How are you?" I said again. "Everything is terrible," you finally replied. "The world is a living nightmare. How are you?" I wish I was a smartphone, touch me like my plan is free. I wish I was your smartphone, hold me up so I can see. I wish I was a smart phone, feed me all your memories. I wish I was the latest smart phone, don't you want a piece of me? But now we're all just stupid and alone, and that's the way we deserve to be. /--Outro-- ----------- I hope you enjoyed the pilot episode of Hacks Poetic. Go to www.LearningLeader.com for full show notes This is brought to you by Insight Global. If you need to hire one person, hire a team of people, or transform your business through Talent or Technical Services, Insight Global's team of 30,000 people around the world has the hustle and grit to deliver. My Guest: Helen Lewis is a staff writer at The Atlantic and author of The Genius Myth: Great Ideas Don't Come from Lone Geniuses. Notes: Shakespeare: Talent + Luck + Timing - William Shakespeare died in 1616 at age 52, celebrated but not yet immortal. His icon status required massive luck: friends published the First Folio (saving King Lear), then 50 years later, Charles II reopened England's theaters after Puritan closures and needed content. Companies turned to Shakespeare's IP, adapting his work (including changing tragedies to happy endings). Helen: "If anyone deserves to be called a genius, it's him. But he died as a successful man of his age. Scenius Over Genius - Brian Eno coined "scenius" - places that are unusually productive and creative. Shakespeare moved from Warwickshire to London for the theaters and playwrights. Helen: "You don't just have to be Leonardo, you also need Florence... Where do you find the coolest, most interesting bleeding edge of your field?" Modern example: Joe Rogan's Comedy Mothership in Austin created an alternative to LA/NYC for comedians like Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe. Ryan: "Put yourself in rooms where you feel like the dumbest person... force you to rise up, think differently, work harder." Tim Berners-Lee vs. Elon Musk - Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web. Has knighthood, lives an ordinary life, kids named Alice and Ben. Most people have never heard of him. Elon Musk has a lot of children, talks about his genes needing to live on, and lives a very public life. Helen: "We overrate the self-promoters, the narcissists. We demand oddness and specialness... We don't call modest people geniuses because they're too normal." Elizabeth Holmes (Theranos) and Sam Bankman-Fried (FTX) exploited this - looked like a genius (Steve Jobs cosplay, messy math prodigy) but stood on houses of cards. Trauma and the "I'll Show You" Engine - Matthew Parris wrote Fracture after noticing how many "great lives" had traumatic childhoods - loss of parents, being unloved, bullied. Helen: "I don't think that's necessarily genius in objective achievement. It's more like a hunger for recognition or fame... a kind of 'I'll show all of you' engine." Stephen Hawking on IQ - Stephen Hawking: "I have no idea. People who boast about their IQ are losers." The Flynn Effect shows average IQ rose over the 20th century through better nutrition, schooling, and living conditions. Higher IQ correlates with better outcomes. But at the top end, every IQ point ≠ is one success point. Christopher Langan (the highest IQ guy) thinks he has a theory to overturn Einstein, and that Bush did 9/11 to cover it up. No history of achievement. Helen: "Smart people don't always prosper. You need the gears that connect the engine to the wheels on the road." Conspiracy Theories: Narcissism as Driver - Narcissism is the most correlated personality trait with conspiracy thinking. Helen: "The sheeple, the NPCs think this, but I alone have seen the truth. It positions you as the protagonist of reality." The Internet is a "confirmation bias engine." But conspiracies are sometimes true (Epstein's corrupt plea deal), which is why conspiracy thinking persists. Researcher Karen Stenner's solution: Get back to depoliticized conspiracies like Bigfoot, crop circles, Area 51 - harmless things that got people outside instead of "shoot up a pizza restaurant." The Beatles: Finiteness Creates Legend - Psychologist Han Isaac said geniuses should either die before 30 or live past 80. Middle is "eh." The Beatles had both: a short career that ended definitively, then John Lennon was shot at 40, frozen in time. Paul McCartney lives on, performs at Glastonbury with John's vocals. Craig Brown: "The Rolling Stones just go on and on, but there's never as much of the Beatles as you want." Quality Over Quantity - Helen: "Incentive now is producing constantly for algorithms... That's neither fun nor produces the best work." Early career: say YES. Later career: "The most important thing you can say is no." Her metric: "Can I say honestly, that was the best I could do? I didn't cut corners. That's the metric." Podcast: advised to do 2-3 episodes weekly for rankings, has been doing weekly for 10.5 years. Shows that went daily? He stopped listening. "I'm gonna increase the quality bar, not the quantity." Robert Greene: "Do not speak unless you can improve upon the silence." Improving the Silence - "My dad's not the loudest at family gatherings, doesn't have the most words, but when he speaks, we all stop and listen. That's who you want to be." Applies to meetings: people vomit garbage to show how smart they are instead of waiting for something valuable. When you speak, people should want to listen. Thomas Edison: Execution Over Ideas - The Light bulb wasn't Edison's conceptual innovation - the idea dated to Humphrey Davy. What was incredible: Edison made it work (vacuum seal, filament) and created the New York power grid. Helen: "Lots of people can have the idea that a man should be an ant. Not everybody can write the Ant-Man screenplay and have it produced." His Menlo Park lab lasted because he worked with brilliant people on problems they cared about. Logbook shows assistants' names on breakthroughs - collaborative. We underrate logistics and execution. Most "light bulb moments" are actually slow, incremental, contested creations. Why Helen Chooses Teams Over Independence - Could go independent on Substack for more money. Works at The Atlantic for: resources, legal support, editorial integrity, and colleagues she doesn't want to let down. Helen: "You must have people in your life, you think, I wanna do work that they like. Finding those people who make you your best version of yourself." Ryan connects to athletics: "Being surrounded by people better than me forces me to raise my game. That's why we want to be part of a great team." Sample First, Specialize Later - High achievers have "hot streak" later, but sample early - trying different things, learning transferable skills. Helen: "Take the first job at a publication you could learn from. Even if not wildly interested, if it's good and they'll hold you to high standards, do it. Your second job is infinitely easier to get than your first." Work Around People Who Care - Helen: "If you work somewhere where no one cares, it's very hard. You can't care on your own. You'll become infected by the apathy around you." Nothing is more boring than a job you don't care about. Don't Wait to Live - Some devote long hours to something for money, promising they'll retire at 30 and then live. Helen: "What if you spent all that time chasing something and then you get hit by a truck? Don't wait for it. Just try and enjoy what you're doing right now." Quotes: "You don't just have to be Leonardo, you also need Florence." "We overrate the self-promoters and underrate the humble achievers." "Smart people don't always prosper. You need the gears that connect the engine to the wheels." "The most important thing you can say is no." "Do not speak unless you can improve upon the silence." - Robert Greene "You can't care on your own. You'll become infected by the apathy around you." It's funny that we have come to use the phrase ‘lightbulb moment' to describe a momentary flash of inspiration, because the birth of the lightbulb was slow, incremental, and highly contested.

Welcome to Cyprus Hollow, population: probably doomed. The kind of town where the local gossip travels faster than Wi-Fi, the Daybreak Motel smells like it should come with a tetanus shot, and the only thing scarier than the crime scene is the Yelp review section. Our Hunters didn't come here looking for trouble—they came here because trouble left a one-star review and posted grainy video evidence to TikTok. In a place where urban legends haunt the Wi-Fi signals and even social media influencers can't spin a death into something palatable, the only certainty is this: you can run from monsters, but you can't escape the RPGBOT.Podcast How to Play series. Show Notes In this episode, Tyler, Randall, and Ash pack up their old apartment and move into Cyprus Hollow, a small town that's part “true crime Netflix docuseries” and part “urban legend Reddit thread gone wrong.” Our actual play session of Hunter the Reckoning kicks off with character creation and backstories, because nothing says “ready to fight monsters” like explaining why your Hunter still owes student loans. The crew investigates the mysterious death at the Daybreak Motel, where mace, missing witnesses, and suspicious managers collide with social media drama and grainy video evidence. As the team digs deeper into this RPG mystery investigation, they battle improvised technology, dead-end leads, and the eternal horror of teenagers who refuse to answer questions. Banter and humor lighten the heavy mood (sort of), but the looming presence of a mysterious figure and a cliffhanger ending keep everyone guessing. This is Hunter the Reckoning actual play podcast content you didn't know you needed: equal parts suspense, role-playing humor, and supernatural horror investigation. Grab your flashlight, load your tulpas, and get ready for the How to Play series that dares to explain both mechanics and memes. Key Takeaways Character backstories in RPGs aren't just flavor—they're weapons against existential dread. Setting the scene in Cyprus Hollow shows how place and atmosphere drive great RPG storytelling. Investigating crime scenes in role-playing games demands attention to detail and patience with unreliable NPCs. Urban legends and social media aren't just modern clutter—they become story hooks in mystery RPG sessions. Technology in RPG storytelling is both a blessing and a curse (especially when it glitches harder than Foundry VTT on patch day). Humor in dark RPG campaigns helps keep tension playable instead of crushing. Tulpas, mysterious figures, and cliffhangers make for suspense-heavy actual play drama. Collaboration in RPG investigation storytelling is essential—though sometimes it just means arguing about who has the flashlight. The Daybreak Motel crime scene has more red flags than a bad Tinder date. Ending on a Hunter the Reckoning cliffhanger ensures you'll come back for Part 2, whether you want to or not. Text us, PsyclithidsIs the bard's silver tongue just a fun game mechanic, or does it reflect real-world psychology? In this episode of The Dungeons, Dragons, and Psychology Podcast, we explore the fascinating connection between the bard's abilities and the science of persuasion, charisma, and social influence. We'll break down key psychological principles like reciprocity, liking, authority, and social proof, and connect them directly to bardic abilities such as Bardic Inspiration, Charm Person, and Hypnotic Pattern. Along the way, we'll discuss why communication—even with NPCs—can transform your game world into a living, breathing story. Finally, I'll share practical tips for bringing bardic charisma into your own life: how to listen actively, find common ground, and master your confidence both at the table and in the real world.Whether you're a bard main or just want to level up your influence, this episode will inspire you to see the bard in a whole new light.✨ Ways to Support the Show:

Rachel Corpus, an embodied channel who remembers her time as an angel in the Angelic Realm, her past life as Mary Magdalene and her life with Jesus. We dive deep into soul swaps, NPCs, the Golden Rule, the New Earth/5D, and the different types of angels in the Angelic Realm. We weave through:Rachel's childhood near-death experience that revealed her angelic origin and mission. The angelic “neighborhoods” seraphim (nurseries, newborn planning) and dominions (ethics, the golden rule), and how angels prepare souls for incarnation.Soul swaps and how one soul can gracefully exchange with another at the edge of a death experience (animals reportedly do it often).NPCs / background people re-framed as souls with sacred agreements, why some souls act as the “foundation” for collective experience.Rachel's remembrance of being Mary Magdalene, the life she lived alongside Jesus, the role of women in scripture, and what was lost/edited in the retelling.Jesus as a God-realm presence, multiple soul-shares/incarnations, and the real meaning of the “Second Coming” as a collective remembering of Christ-within.The New Earth / 5D timeline: how the 3D and 5D timelines overlap, what living in 5D looks like, and practical signs that the timeline is shifting.Where to find Rachel: rachelcorpus.comSend us a textSupport the showLove the show? Was passiert, wenn man Resident Evil, Bloodborne und das Erkundungsprinzip alter Spiele ohne Questmarker oder Karte in einen Topf wirft? Richtig, heraus kommt Hell is Us. Ergänzend muss man auch sagen: Hell is us ist definitiv KEIN Soulslike!

In his appearance on Tin Foil Hat with Sam Tripoli, Christian Yordanov challenges the mainstream narrative around serotonin, arguing that it is not the “happy chemical” it has been marketed as, but rather a product of pharmaceutical propaganda. He explains that serotonin can actually cause harm in the body, potentially contributing to inflammation, disease, and long-term health problems. Christian links the widespread use of SSRIs to darker agendas, referencing MK-ULTRA mind control programs and the idea of a population dulled into compliance, often referred to as “NPCs.” He also suggests that manipulating serotonin is part of a broader depopulation agenda, where these drugs gradually undermine both mental and physical health. More controversially, he claims that serotonin-based medications may be feeding the cancer industry, creating a long-term dependency on treatments that ultimately serve pharmaceutical profits rather than public well-being. Live Q&A! #milab #simulationtheory #targetedindividuals #soularc #timeline #ufo #disclosure Long Description (YouTube/Rumble) About the episode: MILAB whistleblower Nathan Ciszek returns for an advanced decode on targeting—how selected individuals are flagged, profiled, and entrained—and how this connects to a larger simulation framework (Source Field, overlays, NPC constructs, probability rails, and timeline edits). We'll map the playbook (surveillance behavioral nudges engineered synchronicities isolation spiritual fragmentation) and then pivot to exiting the maze: sovereign tech for nervous-system stabilization, energetic hygiene, and reclaiming timeline authority. This episode is brought to you by Lazz who thinks you should get out of your comfort zone more often.Welcome to the topsy-turvy world of Mobius. Buckle up cutter because the ride ‘bout to get bumpy! The old Cage is brewing, and someone's gone and kicked the Hive. In a world where anything can be a portal to and from the center of the multiverse, it's no surprise there's so much going on at any given time. This story-driven D&D 5e real-play podcast is set in the Planescape setting. We're not sticking too close to the official timeline of events; in fact, the DM is putting in play a lot of NPCs from AD&D. If you are a fan of the original books and material, some tidbits might make you smile. If you are new to Planescape, don't fight the weirdness. We're here to have fun. Sigil is all nonsense and absurdity. Camp at its best. DM is also a fan of sci-fi dystopias and Sigil is a good canvas for it. So here you go: a soup of a whole lot.We now have a Ko-Fi page. If you wish to support the production of Mobius, we'd be eternally grateful. I highly recommend you visit our YouTube to get my DM Logs. That's where I'll explain some of Sigil idiosyncrasies (like the calendar or flying hazards), share my homebrew items, etc, etc, etc.

This is not a place of contention. It's a place of listening, and learning while we're removing the lesbians, damseling workers, assuring the quality of our plumbing, destroying a different black dragon, growing dirt guys, talking to eggs, waiting for a heel to turn face, requiring god juice to live, seeking Althena's light, understanding the goblin plight, finding the soul of the ethos in NPCs, producing steam rubies, killing an entire town, solving the Taben question mark, ceasing a disobedient course, no-selling Nash's shit, castrating a nincompoop, and finding forgiveness in our hearts yet again. We discuss the Knights Radiant, their broken history, and the role of Heralds in shaping the moral landscape of the world. From the caste system of Alethi culture to the gender-based taboos that define everyday life, players will discover how to use social structures as storytelling tools. The conversation covers iconic magical elements like Shardblades and Shardplate, how Spren bonds give Radiants their powers, and the dangers of the Everstorm. We also dive into Shadesmere—the Cognitive Realm—and how it offers surreal roleplaying opportunities. Finally, we examine the influence of Honor, Cultivation, and Odium, and the shocking revelation that the Parshendi are the Voidbringers, reframing the conflict of Roshar in ways ripe for campaign drama. This is your guide to using Stormlight Archive lore in tabletop RPGs—whether you're designing your own system, adapting 5E, or just looking for inspiration to roleplay in the Cosmere. Key Takeaways Cosmere lore fuels storytelling: Stormlight Archive's worldbuilding is more than flavor—it's a blueprint for RPG campaigns. Alethi society and caste systems: Lighteyes vs. darkeyes and cultural taboos create ready-made roleplaying conflict. Heralds and Radiants in RPGs: Legendary figures and broken oaths inspire both heroic arcs and tragic backstories. Shardblades & Shardplate explained: More than magic gear—they're political, cultural, and narrative game-changers. Spren bonds in roleplaying: Spren are like emotional support familiars with snark—perfect for deep roleplay dynamics. Shadesmere and the Cognitive Realm: A surreal alternate plane for campaigns, complete with “dead-eyed” Shardblades. The Everstorm as a narrative clock: A looming apocalyptic threat that keeps tension high in every story. Honor, Cultivation, and Odium in RPG storytelling: Cosmic forces that anchor themes of growth, oaths, and destruction. Singers, Parshendi, and Voidbringers: Lore that reframes morality, turning NPCs into complex factions for campaigns. If you want to roleplay in the Stormlight Archive or bring Cosmere lore into your tabletop RPG, this episode is your deep dive into the storm. Aboard the Argent Wind, Caoimhe Wake, Antistrophe Landrace, and Brontë Adelvys settle in for a peaceful journey east. But to live the life of the traveler is to dare fate, as all journeys are invitations to encounter the forgotten and the unexpected both. And for this group of adventurers, they find themselves faced with one and then the other: First, the sudden appearance of a childhood friend. Next, a rumbling of what might be amiss in the City of Iron Chains… This week on Perpetua: On Track to Iron Chains Pt. 03 Perpetua Guide [In Progress v.03] Town Maps [TNMP] Cenn, City of Iron Chains [CNMP] The Ironclad Parade The creepy statues surrounding all of Cenn. Nothing happens if you walk through here when you first arrive, besides the occasional tremor. I thought there'd be ghosts to fight or something, but just these statues for now. Pilgrim's Quarter The western border of Cenn, home to hotels, campgrounds, and a general store where you can get IP and other basic items. This is where you arrive if you end up taking the train route to the city. Digsite West This used to be one of the two big dig sites in Cenn, where they were trying to pull up the weird object buried underground, plus all the strange relics and equipment they could find. That latter part is why it turned into a huge shopping zone, and once it was a shopping zone, it was also a food zone. Definitely stop in here before pushing too far in Cenn. Here's what you can buy there: Weapons Siegebreaker - 750 asta DEX + INS -【HR + 12】physical damage - Two-handed / Ranged Damage dealt by this weapon ignores Resistances. Spell Sever - 850 asta DEX + INS+1 -【HR + 4】dark - One-handed / Melee When you hit a creature with this weapon, if the attack had a single target, you may choose a single spell with a duration of Scene affecting the target and end its effects on that creature. Armor Archeologist's Boots - 900 Asta When your group makes a discovery while traveling, you may immediately gain 1 Fabula Point. Securibot Armor - martial 1250 11 Def / INS +1 Mdef / -3 initiative You have Immunity to earth and poison damage, but Vulnerability to bolt damage. Accessories Digsite Helmet - 700 Asta Grants Resistance to Physical damage. Broken after the third time physical damage is resisted. Other Strange Device - 2500 Asta Recovered from the digsite. Has a keyboard like a typewriter, attached to a darkened mirror. (I have NO idea what this is, but I bought it IMMEDIATELY) Castine's Moon The huge moon that was lifted out from the earth's crust. Only the top part of it is above ground, but that's still huge. I love when you can see it in the background! Before Caoimhe gets her mission, you can just walk on its surface and get some lore from some little shrines and the big temple in the middle. One thing I like is that Castine really does walk around it with various NPCs! It seems like it just randomly pulls in one of the other Cenn NPC models for him to hang out with. Digsite East The dig actually continues here. It's all locked down with security, probably because they're still actively digging.Travelers (and the party) have to go around. Believe it or not, you can actually do some low level grinding here! Groundbreak This is where the digging first started, and because of that it's become important to the city culturally. Both the Hexcloak office AND the City Hall are here. And PLEASE remember, you have to go to the latter to actually start the main quest here. YOUR GAME IS NOT BROKEN JUST BECAUSE THE HEXCLOAK OFFICE IS EMPTY. Seawalk Da beach. The most important thing is that you can play Beachminton here, which is a pretty stupid minigame but the prizes are great. Breeze Boulevard An elevated area filled with fancy houses. This is where the hoity-toity types of Cenn live. At first I thought this was weird, because it seems like this town shouldn't even have them, since Castine's priests seem to be the most important people. But if you talk to some of the NPCs in town, you can learn that before Castine showed up, the people who made the most money off the archeological dig (and the inventions that came out of it) got rich and wanted to live further away from (and higher up than) the dig sites. Sutcliffe Street The industrial district, where various engineers and blacksmiths and factory-runners try to reverse engineer the stuff that gets found in the digsite. Hosted by Austin Walker (austinwalker.bsky.social) Featuring Janine Hawkins (@bleatingheart), Sylvi Bullet (@sylvibullet), and Keith J Carberry (@keithjcarberry) Produced by Ali Acampora Music by Jack de Quidt (available on bandcamp) Cover Art by Ben McEntee (https://linktr.ee/benmce.art) With thanks to Amelia Renee, Arthur B., Aster Maragos, Bill Kaszubski, Cassie Jones, Clark, DB, Daniel Laloggia, Diana Crowley, Edwin Adelsberger, Emrys, Greg Cobb, Ian O'Dea, Ian Urbina, Irina A., Jack Shirai, Jake Strang, Katie Diekhaus, Ken George, Konisforce, Kristina Harris Esq, L Tantivy, Lawson Coleman, Mark Conner, Mike & Ruby, Muna A, Nat Knight, Olive Perry, Quinn Pollock, Robert Lasica, Shawn Drape, Shawn Hall, Summer Rose, TeganEden, Thomas Whitney, Voi, chocoube, deepFlaw, fen, & weakmint This episode was made with support from listeners like you!
