Send us a textHey, beautiful souls, welcome back to the Self-Reflection Podcast, and a special, warm hug to everyone joining our Sunday Live! It's Lira here, and let's just take a breath together, shall we? Wherever you are, whatever your day's been like, I want you to know this space is for you. We're here to talk about something crucial, something we all grapple with: our minds. How we think, how we talk to ourselves—it shapes everything. And today, we're going to unlock three powerful, practical ways to really, truly shift that inner dialogue towards positivity. Because, let's be honest, we all deserve a little more sunshine in our minds, right? So, grab your favorite cozy blanket, your morning coffee, or whatever makes you feel good, and let's dive in. We begin by tackling the challenge of reframing negative thoughts. It's essential to understand that everyone experiences moments of self-doubt and insecurity. However, when these negative thought patterns become persistent and impact our daily lives, it's time to take action. Through self-introspection and reflection, we can identify the root causes of these negative thoughts and begin to replace them with positive affirmations. We discuss the importance of creating a "replacement journal" to document and counteract negative self-talk with empowering statements and real-life examples of our strengths.Next, we explore the transformative power of gratitude. In a world that often focuses on what's lacking, practicing gratitude allows us to shift our attention to the abundance and blessings in our lives. We discuss practical ways to cultivate gratitude, such as keeping a gratitude journal and writing letters of appreciation to ourselves. By focusing on the positive aspects of our lives, we create a space where negative self-talk has less influence. Finally, we delve into the practice of self-compassion. We emphasize the importance of being kind and understanding towards ourselves, acknowledging that imperfection is a natural part of the human experience. We discuss the value of vulnerability, self-acceptance, and speaking to ourselves with gentleness and love. Additionally, we introduce the powerful technique of mirror work, where we look ourselves in the eye and affirm our worthiness and positive qualities. We remind listeners that they possess the ability to rewire their minds and overcome negative thought patterns. Although the process may be challenging, it is entirely possible. We encourage listeners to embrace discomfort as a sign of growth and to remember that they are capable of healing and transforming their lives.Thank you for joining me on this journey of self-discovery and positive transformation. Remember, you have the power to reshape your mindset and create a life filled with joy and gratitude.Support the showCall to Action: Engage with the Self-Reflection Podcast community! New York Giants Sunday Live Stream RE-BROADCAST! Jameis Winston the Mentor? YIKES!New York Giants Sunday Live Stream 10am (EST) Jameis Winston the Mentor? YIKES! While I am a huge New York Giants fan I base my opinions via “status”. I look at statics, analytics and review game film. I spent over 25 years off and on working in the sport for Two NFL teams, Two AFL teams and two known worldwide networks in their NFL Divisions. You may not agree with my “take”, but rest assured I researched and sometimes even reached out to former NFL contacts before I based my conclusion. Some call me a homer, some say I am mean and hate the New York Giants, but I love my team and the sport! I just want to provide fact-based information in a timely matter and let you the New York Giants fans draw your own conclusion! Prophetic Pause: Looking Back to Look ForwardEvery January, Everwell Church takes time to pause and listen, seeking clarity and vision for the year ahead. This intentional moment, which we call the Prophetic Pause, is more than a reflective exercise; it's a sacred opportunity to hear from God, align with His purposes, and discern His work in the soul of our church. This year, our new sermon series, Prophetic Pause: Looking Back to Look Forward, will guide us through the lives of God's prophets. Often misunderstood as fortune-tellers, the prophets were not predicting future events to entertain or frighten. Instead, they were poets of divine truth, voices that called God's people back to covenant faithfulness. They boldly declared the heart of God, challenging complacency and inspiring hope in the midst of uncertainty.Through this 5-week series, we'll explore the “biopics” of these extraordinary yet human figures. Their lives were strange, marked by conviction and often immense personal cost. They wrestled with God, stood against injustice, and bore witness to His faithfulness in tumultuous times. By looking at their stories, we'll reflect on how their courage, honesty, and trust in God's promises speak directly into our lives today. The Prophetic Pause is not just about studying the past; it's about allowing the prophetic voices of Scripture to guide us as we step into the future. What might God be saying to us now, both as individuals and as a church community? How can their call to return to God transform us in the year ahead?Join us as we dive into this series and open ourselves to the Spirit's leading. Together, we'll listen for God's voice in the words of His prophets and seek His vision for what's to come. Let's pause, reflect, and move forward in faith.
