This time on the Couch: Mike, James, and Shée join the babysitter's club just by reading Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane no. 57! When a de-aged Superman unexpectedly shows up and starts trashing stuff, Lois competes with Lana Lang to see which would be the worse mother. Rather than try to understand the situation and protect Superbabe, they immediately jump to brainwashing an innocent child in the hopes that he'll propose to one of them when he grows back up. Having not yet caused enough psychological trauma, Lois then travels to another dimension to make sure the lovesick alien she jilted in a previous issue is still miserable. Sounds like someone's sense of compassion needs a diaper change.

We finally did it: Through the help of Back Porch Comedy we performed the podcast live in front of an audience. But you weren't there so the only thing on your mind is "Is it still funny?"Well, we wanted to bring our A game and that means Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane because Clark Draper is the man. In this particular issue, Superman builds a machine that puts people into cryogenic freezing for 5,000 years; Lois Lane and Lana Lang decide to get back at Superman (for all the times he's a dick) by putting themselves into said machine for 5,000 years. And then hijinks occur, which includes a scene of Superman fighting a dinosaur. It's glorious. Finally, we would like to thank all the listeners that came out and watched the show. Happy New Year loyal listeners! We at Comics Talk Comics decided to start the new year off with the right way: By going back in time to 1959. Superman's Girl Friend Lois Lane is a comic book series that was created by 1950's, fighting-the-Russians, bringing-to-work-a-metal-lunch-box, belt-your-kids, don't-let-those-people-move-into-the-neighborhood, drink-whiskey-at-work, drive-a-car-made-out-of-steel, men. Oh, and the series is about a woman. Daniel Brown, special guest Sid Kuhn, and Special Guest Matt Moseley discuss just what this comic is about (we don't agree with it), who is it for (we don't know), and how insane this would be if it were printed today (quite). Also, due to getting very sidetracked during our first break we end up doing only the first portion of the comic book.
