Across America, Food Truck Parks are becoming permanent year round attractions, and thanks to a Fort Wayne Soup Grant, local entrepreneur TK Kelly is hoping to be able to add our city to that list. Funding for the park's first of three phases has already been secured, which is enough to get the park open. Kelly continues to enjoy support and input from other parks throughout the country, and is basing his own enterprise's footprint on those layouts, including facilities in Dallas, Traverse City, Detroit, Cleveland and Greenville, South Carolina. WBOI's Julia Meek sat down with Kelly to discuss his motivation for the project, its anticipated time frame and what it could mean to the community. WBOI Artcentric is brought to you by WBOI's own Julia Meek and Ben Clemmer. Our theme music is “Me voy pal campo'' by KelsiCote. Our administrative assistants are Olivia Fletter and Keegan Lee. Our production assistants are Alex Castonzo, Steve Mullaney, and Sydney Wagner.
Comedian and Tosh.0 staff writer TK Kelly is originally from New York, and got more comfortable in school in 5th grade when he started to be able to make the other kids laugh. Before long, his grandfather introduced him to George Carlin, and really the rest is history. After college and living briefly in NY, TK moved to LA to study screenwriting at USC graduate school, and from there his journey as a stand up and writer truly began, in Los Angeles. https://www.instagram.com/tkkellycomedy, http://instagram.com/peoplewelovepodcast, http://instagram.com/adamchoit, http://peoplewelovepodcast.com

Comedian TK Kelly has some pretty odd supervisors, including a suspected ghost and a confirmed stripper, but that doesn’t stop him from reminiscing on his glory days when you could quit your job and play basketball on the same day. Nick and Chase try to get TK to return to his mall roots, but he’s not interested in the Diesel Outlet (anymore).-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TW: hate speech (from a mean old construction worker)----------------------------------------- Follow TK on instagram: @TKKellyComedy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------Follow the pod on instagram: @fuckthisplacepod-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------Don't forget to rate, review, and subscribe!

In #55 Jess and Kelly have on funnyman TK Kelly and have a nice little throwback since there is nothing good in theaters. The three of them sat down to watch the early 2000's teen thriller Final Destination. Did it hold up? Or was it just one of those "good when you're that age" type movies? Think about it, or listen to the pod! The three of them also talked about other great movie franchises like American Pie and Austin Powers. Overall, very fun pod even if the movie might have been a little bit too dramatic/slow it still was way way better than Lego Movie 2! Listen along and watch the OG FD on Netflix if you need a refresher, too! This week on the show we welcome writer and comedian TK Kelly for a chat about one of America's greatest songwriters, the one and only Tom Petty. The gang explore Petty's career for his early days through the massive success of Damn The Torpedos to some of his incredible collaborations with the grandmasters of rock music. They break down what is is about the Heartbreakers as a backing band that works so well. Kyle highly recommends the 2007 documentary “Running on a Dream” that covers his career in detail and is a great addendum to this episode. Plus, it wouldn't be Rad without a few side tangents and we get into it about Third Eye Blind. What does that have to do with Tom Petty? You'll have to listen to find out. (Spoiler Alert: it doesn't really, but the tangent is pretty fun anyway.) This episode is brought to you by Mack Weldon!
