What happens when Bigfoot isn't just a weekend obsession — but a life-changing presence passed down through generations? In this chilling and awe-inspiring episode, we sit down with Don Yazzie, Navajo Nation researcher, experiencer, and host of the Don't Whistle at Night podcast. Don reveals his firsthand encounters with Sasquatch in the red rock mesas of Utah and Arizona — from childhood terrors of something clawing at the trailer to facing a red-haired giant in the desert. He takes us deep into Navajo cultural beliefs, ancient stories of cave-dwelling Bigfoot clans, and encounters that include drained livestock, glowing eyes, and powerful healing dreams. With stories from Cheetah, the San Juan River, and Hopi Land, you'll hear about the creature that breaks necks, rescues freezing children, and leaves no tracks — unless you know where to look.Don't miss this rare glimpse into the spiritual and terrifying role Sasquatch plays in Navajo history and modern life.Resources:Contact Don: alileenaalkaah@gmail.comDon't Whistle at Night Podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@DontwhistleatnightpodcastTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@alilee.naalkaah

In fact, after three years and nearly 200 episodes, I think it's hard for me to pin down just one reason why I love Tolkien's works. She feels like she gets the best of both worlds to be a part time stay at home mom and a part time licensed marriage and family therapist. Her journey with recurrent pregnancy loss led her to specialize in reproductive and maternal mental health to support women walking through their own losses, infertility, challenges during pregnancy postpartum, birth trauma, or those becoming parents by way of adoption. Not a typical thing she shares publicly but relevant for today's conversation, Leighton had a breast reduction prior to her pregnancies and it consequently had an effect on her feeding journeys with both of her daughters. As promised, here is part two of my conversation with my cousin, Abby. If you haven't listened to the first part of our conversation, be sure to go back and listen to last week's episode before tuning into this one. This episode is jam packed with perspective shifting and life altering experiences that Abby has lived through. She chats with us about what it is like living in Israel while the country is at war.Abby shares what her current reality is and how that has affected her as a mom. She shares insight on things like how rockets are considered “normal” in Israel, how bomb shelters are a “normal” part of playgrounds there, and how they even have a safe room in their house. Abby goes into details on the moment she received a video from a friend on October 7th of Hamas terrorists infiltrating Israel from the sea, which is only about an hour away from where they live. After about a year and a half of living in Israel, Abby comes back to the United States, and shares what it has been like being back and if she ever became desensitized to things like rockets infiltrating the airspace in Israel. At the end of the day, the biggest thing that Abby takes away from living in a country at war is that we all want the same thins; for our children to be safe.Follow the Moms of the Night Podcast on Instagram: @momsofthenightpodcast
This is a very special episode because it is with my cousin, Abby Ricciardi. Growing up our families were super close. Abby and I went to daycare together and basically grew up together. However, our motherhood journey's have looked very different. Before we sat down for this in-person interview, we realized that it had been over three and a half years since we had seen each other in person. In today's conversation you'll hear us catch up on what life has been like for Abby over the past almost four years including her moving all over the place and eventually settling down where she is at now; Israel. Abby shares what it was like to find out two of her wildest dreams were coming true simultaneously; she was both pregnant and moving to the city of her dreams. However, Abby's journey to becoming pregnant wasn't what she had envisioned. She shares what it was like to go through infertility, what her postpartum journey looked like, and even gets vulnerable about the challenges of motherhood when you don't have family nearby. And be sure to stay tuned for next week's episode which will be part two of my conversation with Abby. We will dive more deeply into what her lifestyle currently looks like raising a toddler in a foreign country.Follow the Moms of the Night Podcast on Instagram: @momsofthenightpodcast

This is an episode I didn't even know I needed at the moment we recorded it. I'll be honest, being a mom of two under two right now is a lot. Today I sat down with Sara Gretzky who is also a mom of two and our kiddos are almost the exact same ages. She and I had an awesome conversation around what it's like to have two children so close in age, which transition was hardest for us; zero to one or one to two, and the saturation of information on social media these days.Sara is not only a mom she is also a podcaster and personality who resides in Florida. In June of 2020, Sara and Natalie Buck started a podcast called CAUSING A SCENE where the two discuss recent television series and films. They discuss what they loved, what they didn't love, and the type of people who would enjoy it. In my conversation with Sara, she touches on what it felt like after trying so hard to conceive a first child and then so easily getting pregnant the second time. She felt guilt and kept it from others for almost five months. Sara used to hate the girls who could just get pregnant on a whim and now she was one of them. We also touch on how in today's society with the overload of information we are presented with on social media, trusting your intuition can be hard as a first time mom. Sara explains that the way she is able to shut out some of the noise is to set, and stick to, some firm boundaries which, she'll admit, is easier this second time around.Follow the Moms of the Night Podcast on Instagram: @momsofthenightpodcastListen to the Causing a Scene PodcastFollow Sara on Instagram - @saragretzkyFollow the Causing a Scene Podcast on Instagram - @causingascenepod

Today's discussion with my friend, Katy Huie Harrison, is a vulnerable one where we both get real on our own personal experiences with postpartum anxiety. Katy is a PhD, author, mom, loss mom, and the founder of Undefining Motherhood. She helps moms through the tough transitions of all stages of motherhood by providing reliable, easy to understand, and judgment free information.Katy shares the moment that she realized she had postpartum anxiety and explains that oftentimes parents who struggle with infertility or miscarriage tend to suffer more from postpartum mood disorders. Katy even shares the story of when she thought that she might have made a mistake by having a child. If you've been there, or have had similar thoughts, Katy's relatability and honesty will make you feel less alone. We touch on what it's like if you're partner might be going through a tough time postpartum, what the word matrescence means and why we aren't as familiar with it, and how it's okay if you don't feel that overwhelming sense of love and joy the moment your baby first touches your chest.Follow the Moms of the Night Podcast on Instagram: @momsofthenightpodcastKaty's Pregnancy PlannerFollow Katy on Instagram - @undefininingmotherhoodundefiningmotherhood.com
Welcome to episode one of the Moms of the Night Podcast! I can't believe we are actually here. I am your host, Niki DeConcini. I am just your average mom from Minnesota who had this message in her heart and wanted to create this space where moms can have real, raw conversations about motherhood. Especially in those middle of the night moments, when you might be thinking, “how am I going to make it through this?” This podcast is a sacred space where we are going to release judgment and share stories. I want this podcast to be a space where you can escape to when the outside noise and opinions get to be too much.In this first episode, I share my own journey of how my husband and I became parents. And as someone who likes to plan ahead and considers herself a self-proclaimed control freak, it was not the journey I had hoped for. I also go into details on the gut-wrenching loss of my own mom when I was just five weeks postpartum. And finally, I explain how the idea for Moms of the Night came to be.If this little passion project of mine can help just one mama out there, then this podcast will be fulfilling my biggest dreams. If you know of a mama who is in the thick of early motherhood, and might be feeling so isolated and alone, please share this episode with her. Thank you so much for being on this journey with me and if you enjoyed this episode be sure to rate or review it wherever you listen to podcasts!Follow the Moms of the Night Podcast on Instagram: @momsofthenightpodcast
