Dr. Pandya is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine for young athletes. We discuss injuries in the NBA from a medical perspective, COVID effects, & the importance of youth sports. Dr. Pandya's area of expertise include sports medicine, arthroscopy, pediatric trauma as well as general pediatric orthopedics. Dr. Pandya attended University of Chicago, completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego & now has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters & speaks regularly at national conferences. On Episode #8 of All The Hype, I cover the G League Ignite team that made their debut in the G League bubble, earlier this past week. We'll talk about how this may be a different approach young prospects can take as an alternative to get to the NBA, rather than attending college. I will also discuss the top 5 potential draft picks for this year's coming draft according to the latest mock drafts from scouts & analysts. As a Warriors fan, I'll take a look into their season & critique some of Steve Kerr's coaching decision so far, & while talking about the Warriors, I'll cover the incredible story of Juan Toscano-Anderson & his journey into the NBA. To round out the show, I'll revisit some of my better & worst takes that I had coming into the beginning of the season. 

This week on All The Hype I'll be talking about the All-Star game & all the issues surrounding the situation. With the All-Star game seemingly approaching very quickly, I'll give my picks for all stars & who I think the starters & reserves should be. Due to all the electrifying performances we've seen not only this week but this season as a whole, I'll talk about my Handful of Hoopers for the week & also discuss who I think the top 5 players in the NBA are right now. With February being Black History Month I'll discuss how athletes address social issues & how the WNBA has been incredibly impactful in social activism. To round out the show, I give my weekly updated power rankings for the first week of February.

This week on All the Hype, we will recap yet another busy week around the league. I'll discuss some of my favorite games, more trade rumors & other news. I'll be introducing a new segment on the show called, A Handful of Hoopers, where I pick a starting 5 from around the league, based on their performances from this week of play. I will be discussing which teams I think are contenders vs. which are just pretenders. We'll also honor & remember the late Kobe Bryant after one year of his passing with a tribute & appreciation segment.
