The guys recap a .500 homestand, whether the Brewers' frequent blowout losses should be cause for concern, mixed signs from Quinn Priester's first six outings, and more.
Game 2 was an embarrassment for the Nuggets, as Oklahoma City blew them out, 149-106. Thunder set the tone early and score 87 points in the first half. Which was worse in the first half for the Nuggets - their offense or defense? Look ahead to Game 3 in Denver tomorrow night. Where does last night rank in terms of all-time blowouts involving Denver teams? Eric and Bruce get into it all!
Gils Arena Reacts To The NBA Playoffs' Game 7 BLOWOUTS as Gilbert Arenas & The Gil's Arena Crew return to Gil's Arena to break down the end of Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs and analyze the blowouts that saw both the Golden State Warriors & Denver Nuggets advance to the next round. They kick things off in the bay as they react to another NBA Playoff win for the Golden State Warriors over the Houston Rockets, where Buddy Hield had his first signature moment for the Warriors as he carried Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler in their decisive Game 7 Win. The Gil's Arena Crew analyzes Buddy's impact as the x-factor in this series and gives their biggest takeaways from Steph & Jimmy's first playoff series as teammates. They also give a post-mortem on the Houston Rockets' season and debate how this young promising team can take the next step towards a championship, even if that means giving up high impact pieces like Jalen Green & Alpren Sengun. Next, they turn their attention to the other Game 7 blowout where Russell Westbrook got his revenge on the Los Angeles Clippers and the Nuggets proved they may be the most dangerous team in the playoffs after winning the series with Nikola Jokic struggling to find his game. They also analyze James Harden's Game 7 struggles throughout his career and debate if his not-so-clutch gene will impact his NBA legacy and if the Clippers can feel confident with their core of Harden & Kawhi moving forward. Next they react to Jalen Brunson proving he's the King of New York once again after lifting the New York Knicks to the 2nd Round and debate if the Knicks guard can carry this team over the reigning champion Boston Celtics before reacting to the opening game of Round 2 where the Indiana Pacers stunned the Cleveland Cavaliers with a Game 1 win. Finally, they give Gregg Popovich his flowers after the legendary head coach announced his retirement this season and discuss his incredible impact on the game of basketball. Boos, Blowouts & Breakouts: First-Round NBA Playoff Drama RecappedThe NBA playoffs never disappoint, and the first round of the 2025 postseason has already delivered jaw-dropping moments, unexpected upsets, and standout performances. In the latest episode of Off the Screen, hosts Michael, Sid, and Alejandro break down the chaos, starting with a personal story from the stands.Sid kicks things off by recounting his first-ever live playoff experience—unfortunately, it was Game 4 of Heat vs. Cavs, where Miami trailed by 40 points at halftime. The crowd was booing, the turnovers piled up, and the team seemed to unravel on the floor. A harsh welcome to playoff basketball, to say the least. The spotlight then shifts to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who stunned fans by sweeping the Memphis Grizzlies. Even with Ja Morant sidelined early, OKC leaned on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 38-point explosion and an unexpected surge from Scottie Pippen Jr. The Thunder's depth and chemistry make them an emerging force in the West.Over in the East, Boston took care of Orlando in five games—but not without controversy. The hosts questioned the Magic's physicality, which led to multiple Celtics injuries and some suspect flagrant calls. Coach Joe Mazzulla kept his cool, but the rising intensity of playoff basketball was fully displayed. Finally, the crew discusses Indiana's shocking upset of the Milwaukee Bucks. With Damian Lillard injured and Giannis left to carry the team, the Pacers took over behind Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner. Gary Trent Jr. was a rare bright spot for Milwaukee, dropping 37 in Game 5, while the odd ejection of Haliburton's father from the arena added a bizarre twist. With round one over, the hosts are watching the Thunder and Cavs as potential breakout teams in the next round. Stay tuned—things are just heating up.
Carl Quintanilla, Jim Cramer and David Faber discussed blowout quarterly results from Microsoft and Meta that sparked a rally inthe tech sector -- as the Dow and S&P 500 aim to extend their respective daily win streaks to eight. The anchors also reacted to Tesla's denial of a report stating the company's board opened a search for a successor to CEO Elon Musk. Also in focus: Eli Lilly and McDonald's join the earnings parade, Softbank CEO Masa Son on China and AI, President Trump's "two dolls" comment on tariffs.

We start today with the sudden death of Pope Francis at the age of 88. Just yesterday he sat down with Vice President J.D. Vance, made appearances on Easter Sunday. Today's word of the day is ‘drubbing' as in blowout as in huge win as in NBA Playoffs. The Thunder won by 51. The Nuggets won by 2. 7 of the 8 Game 1s were double-digits. Woof! (19:45) Jazz Chisholm found himself in some trouble for tweeting from the clubhouse after an ejection. He was suspended a game and is now appealing. (24:25) Ronald Acuna is hurt. Ronald Acuna took to social media and called out the Braves for not disciplining Jared Kelenic for something he did 6 years earlier. (35:15) Review: Eephus. (37:20) The Commanders return to DC could be coming soon. But, there is a catch. (43:45) Portland wants a Major League Baseball team. The state of Oregon just voted on a “jock tax” that would increase amount of possible income tax state would receive from MLB players. (50:00) NPPOD. Learn more about your ad choices. It was supposed to be one of the best sports weekends of the year... but most of it was kind of a dud. In this all-sports episode of Couch Potato Diary, I go through the weekend that was across both the NBA and NHL Playoffs.
Recently we had quite the experience while on a trip with our Management Team - and it involves the need for lots of wipes (yes, a baby blowout).

‘I'm just a fan who wants the best for my club.' John Obi Mikel makes an impassioned defence of his recent criticism of this current Chelsea side. Back-to-back defeats to Brighton coupled with Nicolas Jackson's injury has him asking serious questions of the club's recruitment policy and he hits out at the notion that the Blues are ahead of schedule in their bid to return to the Champions League. As always, it's forthright stuff from the former Chelsea No12. https://www.instagram.com/obionepodcast?igsh=MWNzbHVocHdzeWZwdA== https://x.com/obionepodcast?s=21 https://www.facebook.com/share/1AJ7ZPB4Cp/?mibextid=wwXIfr Learn more about your ad choices. RUNDOWN Lets start with some trivia about college basketball. Also, did you hear the one about Ricky Henderson's reluctance to sign autographs? Mitch and Hotshot dissect the Seahawks' heartbreaking 27-24 loss to the Vikings, a game defined by defensive miscommunication that allowed Justin Jefferson an easy game-winning touchdown. Mitch reconnects with Steve Phillips, former Mets GM and MLB analyst, for a lively discussion on baseball and more. They reminisce about Ricky Henderson, highlighting his quirks, legendary career, and unique personality, following news of his passing. Phillips also delves into Juan Soto's record-breaking contract with the Mets, examining its implications for baseball and New York's heated team rivalry. More discussion on the Seattle Seahawks' narrow 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings with Seahawks No-Table. Jacson Bevens attributes the loss to critical penalties in high-leverage moments, emphasizing their impact over assigning blame solely to the offense or defense. Brady Henderson highlights unforced errors, including an offside penalty by Trey Brown and a costly face mask penalty, as key contributors to the defeat. What a lackluster opening weekend of the college football playoffs. Blowouts in all four games!
