In Episode 18 Justine is diving into the subject of collaboration in leadership. What an important topic today!! In years past, a leader was expected to lead by dictating what people did or didn't do and how it was done. Today, collaboration is an essential ingredient for organizational survival. A collaborative leader is a team player who concentrates on the good of the entire team. She is not led by ego but by the ability to see and tap into the gifts and strengths of each member of the team. Collaborative groups go above and beyond what one person is able to accomplish and in doing so can celebrate the wins (and work through the losses) together!! Inspired leaders cast visions for their team but also are found in the trenches right alongside their people. Positive collaboration creates positive energy. People are willing to give their best because they feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves. One for all and All for one!! If you want to be a TRUE inspired leader, mastering the art of collaboration is an absolute must. Understanding the way people communicate and how they behave is essential to collaboration.
