Et si on comprenait enfin qu'investir dans le temps des parents avec leurs enfants, c'est investir dans une société plus saine, plus bienveillante, plus équilibrée ?Aujourd'hui, je vous partage ma colère, mon incompréhension, mais aussi mon espoir. Oui, en Belgique, une réforme du congé parental est en discussion, et pourtant en Wallonie, on est à la traîne : à peine 2 769 signatures pour soutenir cette avancée, alors qu'il nous en faut 8 000. Je vous explique pourquoi cette réforme est cruciale : pour les mères, pour les coparents, pour les bébés, et pour notre futur collectif.Je vous raconte aussi pourquoi le congé parental actuel est insuffisant, mal payé, et pousse tant de familles à la précarité. En France, c'est encore pire, avec à peine 447 € par mois pour élever un enfant. À côté, des pays comme la Suède ou le Québec ont compris l'enjeu : ils offrent des congés longs, bien rémunérés, qui permettent aux parents de vraiment être là.Je vous invite à réfléchir avec moi : pourquoi continuer à faire comme si tout allait bien ? Pourquoi tolérer un système qui fatigue, isole, et pousse nos enfants trop tôt vers des structures saturées ? Est-ce que je peux continuer à allaiter mon aîné pendant ma grossesse ?Cette question, je l'ai reçue il y a quelques jours d'une patiente. Elle allaite encore son petit garçon de 2 ans, et elle vient d'apprendre qu'elle est enceinte de son deuxième bébé. Elle a entendu qu'allaiter enceinte, « c'est pas conseillé », voire dangereux…Dans cet épisode de "Questionner la sage-femme", je déconstruis les peurs et croyances autour de l'allaitement pendant la grossesse et du co-allaitement. Est-ce que ça déclenche des contractions ? Est-ce que ça épuise la mère ? Est-ce que ça met en danger le bébé à naître ? Ce que dit vraiment la science ? Et surtout : comment s'écouter, respecter son corps, son rythme, ses limites ?Je vous parle aussi de ce que j'ai vécu personnellement, de ce que j'ai observé chez d'autres mères, et je vous rappelle que le choix d'allaiter ou non, de continuer ou d'arrêter, reste le vôtre. J'y accueille Anne-Sophie et Chloé, deux femmes engagées qui œuvrent à redonner de la visibilité au postpartum — cette période si bouleversante, souvent encore trop taboue, et pourtant si fondatrice.On discute ensemble de la genèse du projet, de cette exposition née des rencontres avec des centaines de parents qui ont partagé leurs vécus intimes, leurs joies, leurs douleurs, leurs découvertes… Leurs récits ont donné naissance à une expo immersive, sensible, qui traverse les différentes réalités du postpartum : le corps, l'émotion, l'isolement, le rapport aux autres, la place dans la société…Une exposition citoyenne, politique, et profondément humaine, pensée pour toucher tous les publics — parents, futurs parents, proches, professionnels… et qui se veut itérante !Et si tu veux aller plus loin :

Oui, les complications existent, mais elles sont très rares, surtout grâce à un suivi rigoureux durant toute la grossesse qui garantit un cadre sécuritaire optimal. Les sages-femmes autonomes, comme moi, sont formées continuellement pour anticiper et gérer ces urgences exceptionnelles. Nous évaluons constamment le bien-être de la mère et du bébé, assurant une sécurité maximale.Je partage dans cet épisode des histoires réelles, dont une situation récente d'urgence absolue – un décollement placentaire – montrant l'importance cruciale d'une bonne collaboration avec les hôpitaux. Malheureusement, les transferts hospitaliers sont parfois mal perçus, menant injustement à des sanctions envers des sages-femmes professionnelles et compétentes, comme Céline Blandin actuellement suspendue en France. C'est une véritable chasse aux sorcières contre laquelle je m'élève avec force.L'accouchement à domicile n'est pas un acte irresponsable mais un choix éclairé et sécurisé.
