In this episode I interview Tarika, the creator of Black Girl Magic Tours in Atlanta, GA. We discuss how she came up with the idea to do the tours after visiting Cartagena, Colombia. She began the tours during the pandemic and has found a way to connect her own travel experience to create one for others in Atlanta. In this episode I interview Cynthia from the Podcast Getting Your Sh*t Together. Cynthia's podcast is about her journey with alcohol, which led to her giving it up. She also discusses the idea of finding yourself and enjoying life while of course getting your shit together. Cynthia who grew up as a military brat has lived a life of travel since she was young and has continued discovering the world. We discuss the difference between her traveling and partying and what it is like for her travel now as a sober individual.
The Coronavirus(Covid-19) has been the topic of the short start of this decade, that's because he has infected many and resulted in the death of its victims. This episode has three different segments because the impact of this virus has changed the daily lives of everyone in the world. International travel is non-existent at the moment, and considering this podcast is about traveling abroad it was time to talk with a travel writer, flight attendant, and registered nurse. These women discuss how the Coronavirus has affected their personal and work lives, but are all optimistic that this will pass and we all will travel soon!
