Somna's 2019 started on a high with a “Progressive Pick” winner on A State Of Trance and with “Razor”, signed to Armin Van Buuren's personal label Armind Recordings. 2019 also marked a debut on Gareth Emery's Garuda Recordings with two high energy singles as well as delivering remixes for Markus Schulz and Lange. In this episode, you'll hear that while that was a physical rule, it's also a great metaphor for his approach to art making and creative exploration. At age 20, Anders, an American, started a semester abroad experience in Germany and then remained in Europe for the past 15 years. One of my favorite parts from his artist statement is: My studio is like a forest of accumulated items wherein I intuitively incorporate images, and gestures from the environment into assemblages…My role is to move between items like a spider: drawing parallels and connecting narratives into a network with its own internal logic.He currently lives and works between Holland and Paris. Her body was found the next day, in a field close to Veenklooster, her throat slit. Traces of the perpetrator's blood and semen were also found at the scene.Willem Van Eijk (13 August 1941 – 19 June 2019) was a convicted Dutch serial killer known as "Het Beest van Harkstede" (The Beast of Harkstede). He was convicted twice for a total of five murdersWillem Holleeder (born 29 May 1958) is a Dutch criminal. He is nicknamed De Neus (The Nose) because of the size of his nose. In 1983, Holleeder was sentenced to eleven years' imprisonment for his involvement in the kidnapping of Heineken president Freddy Heineken for a 35-million-gulden (approximately €16 million, or US$19.5 million) ransom. Then, in 2007 Holleeder was sentenced to nine years in prison for several counts of extortion, including the extortion of Willem Endstra, who was murdered in 2004[1] after falling out with Holleeder. He served his sentence in Nieuw Vosseveld and was released on 27 January 2012. He was arrested again in May 2013 (released 12th June 2013), May 2015 and April 2016. In July 2019, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for five murders and one count of manslaughter.
