In this episode of The Eureka Rewatch, Cory and Tom dream of time with the family as they discuss season 2 episodes 6 & 7, Noche de Sueños and Family Reunion. Blog Post
Recorded live at Bridging the Gap 2025 in Denver, Randy Crabtree sits down with founder of LiveCA, tech commentator, and full-time glamper Chad Davis for a wide-ranging conversation that captures exactly what makes BTG different from every other conference on the calendar. On Episode 271 of The Unique CPA, Chad talks about why he rerouted his entire week just to be there, and the two get into the real tension Randy is wrestling with: how do you grow something without killing the thing that made it worth growing in the first place? Shifting to Chad's upcoming session on what accountants should actually care about in tech right now, they discuss the mental health dimension of overwhelm that rarely gets named, and why having an operating framework like EOS changes what you actually do with the ideas you pick up at a conference. A candid and camp-themed conversation. Get the full show notes and more resources at TheUniqueCPA.com

Listen to today's podcast... I am missing my family reunion. Living so far away means that it is tough to make it to this family function. I have some wonderful memories of family reunions. The games that we would play. The prizes that were given out. The laughs that we would have, and the food. The awesome, glorious, delicious potluck that would follow. Take One Action Today To Build Your #Resiliency! Here are today's Tips For Building Resiliency and Celebrating Family Reunion Month: Family reunions can be a cherished tradition. But being around your family or going back to the town in which you grew up can stir up implicit memories that can automatically trigger feelings we felt in our past. No matter how mature we feel, memories of our 10 or 15-year-old selves can cause us to act like we did when we were 10 or 15. If we fail to recognize how we are affected by old emotions and negative early experiences, we run the risk of projecting our past onto our present interactions and relationships. So all of this is to say that family reunions can be fun and a point of real connection, but be aware that there is the potential for past memories and experiences to interfere with this enjoyment. Being aware of your triggers and emotions is the first step in being present and just enjoying the moment for what it really is…a chance to create a new memory. A guided meditation inspired by the Book of Numbers and the great encampment in the wilderness. In the Bible, every tribe gathered in its place — close enough for connection, with enough space for dignity, difference, and belonging. In this meditation, you'll enter a wide open landscape and slowly create your own sacred camp: inviting family, friends, teachers, ancestors, estranged loved ones, and unexpected guests into the circle. Through gentle visualization, you'll imagine where each person belongs, how close or far they sit, what gifts they bring, and what healing may emerge simply from being gathered together beneath the open sky. Some arrive with joy, others with complexity, memory, or grief. All are welcomed with curiosity and care. This practice offers space to reflect on community, boundaries, belonging, and the deeper question of what it means to make room for one another in the wilderness of our lives.

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes! Comedian! Actor! Podcaster! Friend! Delight! More! We have a great chat and you can have a great listen! Anjelah's 7th comedy special, "Anjelah Johnson-Reyes: Ugly Baby" (a self-financed and self-produced special where she makes her directorial debut) is out today, May 10, 2026 starting at 12PM PDT / 2PM CDT on her YouTube channel! From the special's press release, the show is "a dynamic hour of standup that blends humor and heart, exploring ever-evolving family dynamics, embracing her current stage of life, and the grand adventure of becoming a first-time mom in her later years. Following the success of her last two specials, 'Say I Won't' (over 8.6M views and counting) and 'Technically Not Stalking' (over 3.1M views and counting), it only makes sense that Anjelah also brings her 7th special to YouTube to continue making her comedy available to fans all over the world. The platform has been a home for Anjelah for over 20 years, ever since her 'Nail Salon' joke went viral. At the core of the special is Anjelah's journey into motherhood in her 40s. Using her natural wit and charm, she opens up about personal struggles with fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum life, while touching on the universal themes of relationships, generational shifts, and fighting people on airplanes. Anjelah's special is anchored in her relatability – you can't help but feel that she is your cool Tia commiserating with you on everything. Ahead of the new special, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes shares: 'I'm grateful that I've been able to do this 7 times. My boobs may be falling lower but at least my career continues to reach new heights, all thanks to my loyal fans that have been riding with me for so long. I hope you enjoy my most vulnerable hour yet!' Filmed live across two sold-out shows at the historic El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, the special is a co-production between her Laugh On Beat production company and 800 Pound Gorilla. The special was directed by Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and executive produced by Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Manwell Reyes, Stephen Gordon Walker, and Jordan Levy. Anjelah is one of the most successful stand-up comedians today with six comedy specials streaming on various platforms and selling out theaters across the world. Her 7th comedy special serves as the capstone to her largely successful "The Family Reunion" stand-up comedy tour, which spanned 100+ shows in major theaters across the US in 2025–2026. Over the course of the tour she sold over 200,000 tickets including two sold out shows at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, 4 sold out shows at The Grove of Anaheim, a sold out show at Smart Financial Centre in Houston, TX, and a sold out show at The Ryman in Nashville, TN. Born and raised in San Jose, California, and of Mexican and Native American descent, Anjelah has guest starred on shows such as Life & Beth, Superstore, The Shield, Ugly Betty, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Her film roles include Enough Said, Our Family Wedding, and Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. We are welcoming a first-time guest visiting from Denver after celebrating a 93rd birthday and spending time at a child's horseback riding. The conversation shifts to travel, trooper academy “day zero,” and what state public safety work can include beyond traffic stops, plus a big volleyball recruiting update with a college offer. The episode then goes deep into family mental health, grief, passive suicidal talk, refusing help, and protecting loved ones, comparing mental injury to physical injury and discussing empathy, counseling, boundaries, trauma, ACEs, and triggers. It closes with a heartfelt father-son moment about feeling wanted, love, and forgiveness, gratitude for community support, and a child-led affirmation and prayer.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

It's Festive Friday with a powerful family drama! ABOUT GOODBYE JUNE Follows a group of fractured siblings who must come together under sudden and trying circumstances. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR GOODBYE JUNE December 24, 2025 | Netflix CAST & CREW OF GOODBYE JUNE Director: Kate Winslet Writer: Joe Anders Cast: Helen Mirren as June Timothy Spall as Bernie Johnny Flynn as Connor Kate Winslet as Julia Andrea Riseborough as Molly Toni Collette as Helen BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS It's Christmastime, and we meet the Cheshire family — June and Bernie, and their son Connor — in what first feels like a quiet holiday morning. That calm is shattered when Connor discovers his mother collapsed on the kitchen floor. After a frantic call to emergency services, June is rushed to the hospital, and Connor gathers his sisters — Julia, Molly, and Helen — bringing the fractured family back under one roof. The news is devastating: June doesn't have much time left. As the reality sets in, old wounds and unresolved tensions rise to the surface. Connor feels stuck and directionless, still living at home. Helen has distanced herself from the family, both physically and emotionally, building a life abroad rooted in spirituality. Julia and Molly haven't spoken in years, their unresolved conflict having split the family in two. At the center is Bernie, stoic and emotionally reserved, struggling to express what he's feeling as he faces losing his wife. As June's condition worsens, she finds moments of joy in being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Helen, who is expecting her first child, quietly grieves that her baby will never know their grandmother. June's greatest wish becomes clear: she wants her daughters, Julia and Molly, to reconcile. One evening, as snow falls outside, June asks Julia for permission to let go. Through tears, Julia gives it. June shares a final, poetic hope — that she might return as the snow. With the help of her nurse Angel, she gets her two daughters that are fighting and finally confront their past and begin to heal. Later, Connor challenges his father to open up and actually deal with the fact that his wife is dying. Bernie doesn't handle it great but ends up showing his love by singing karoke and finally having a heart to heart with Connor. Knowing June won't make it to Christmas Day, the family comes together to celebrate early, putting on a nativity play in her honor. In the middle of that performance, surrounded by the people she loves most, June passes away. From the wings, Angeli watches as the family begins to process their grief — together. One year later, the Cheshires gather again at Christmas. Helen has welcomed her baby, and Connor has found love with Angeli. As they raise a toast to June, her voice returns through a letter she wrote to her unborn grandchild, reflecting on a life made rich simply by family. As the children run to the window to watch the snow fall, the family finds peace in her memory — and in the love she left behind.
