Diane - Boy Meets World & Dadville Michaela - Bible in a Year, Doing the Best We Can & Deck the Hallmark They also talk about autobiographies, Hollywood, and the detriments of fame to people in the entertainment industry. Michaela also shares some pressing information about a few favorite Christmas songs and the meaning behind the lyrics.
Welcome friends. We hope you had a wonderful carb-filled Thanksgiving! Today we're chatting about communication---how it's suffered because it's been such a busy year and being that winter is soon upon us we're more apt to keep to ourselves and not be out as much. Not that that's a bad thing, but it's essential not to neglect your people; just sending a text saying that you're thinking of them goes a long way. In talking about hibernating, it's okay to recognize that your body might be slowing down and wanting you to be in full-on rest mode. Listen to your body. And remember, the trees are resting, the animals are resting, and we can be resting too.
Happy Thanksgiving friends! Whether you love turkey or are eating an alternative meat this holiday, we have a food glorious food episode for you. We chat about our food goals for 2023 and how we can make cooking at home fun; like how to not make the same thing over and over again or having a new dish you try every week from a different country. We also mention the holiday stress of traveling and making everyone happy---it's tough work, but hopefully the end of the year will provide some rest and peace so you're able to enjoy the time you spend with your loved ones.
What a great first season of Enneagram with Michaela on the Don't Worry You're Enough Podcast! This was a step into new territory for me, but I'm so thankful I took a leap of faith and dived right into bringing content about the Enneagram as well as interviews with fellow Enneagram Coches turned friends. Thank YOU for tuning in each week, I hope it was helpful, fruitful, and educational. Until next time friends!
Welcome, everyone! Diane and Michaela share an update on where they are with things and where the future of the podcast is headed. Don't worry, it's not so doom and gloom. This time on the podcast has been a wonderful adventure that we will bring to a close at the end of the year. There are absolutely no hard feelings, we are each going in a different direction with our jobs and interests and we will have a few more episodes before our grand finale. Make sure you listen to the end for a trailer of Michaela's NEW solo podcast Your Story Matters, coming in January 2023!
Friends this is the last Interview in our first Enneagram series and I could not be more grateful. In this episode, I get to talk with my new friend, Amy Nabors who is a Type One, and she shares so sweetly her experience in coming to find the Enneagram and the effect it has made on her life. Her first reaction was initially cringing but as curiosity developed she found grace for herself in accepting the Type One qualities in herself. Amy shares her love for the Enneagram seeing each type as how God created us to be and living that out in abundance. We talk about Amy's wings and how she resonates more with the Type 9 and their desire for peace and how that can sometimes cause conflict with seeing the world through the lens of black & white--or better yet, grey. Amy talked about the importance of rest/Sabbath as her 9 wing has shown her the lessons to be learned in the art of slowing down. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did! You can follow Amy on Instagram @growthessentialsllc
Happy November friends! This week Diane and Michaela engage in another smorgasbord episode about all things, well most things Halloween (we saved ourselves from going on a Halloween candy tangent), the 2022 goals that we revisit and see our progress, and we gush about pies vs. cake and all of the tasty treats of Thanksgiving--stuffing, turkey, green bean casserole--anyone hungry yet?!
We've got ourselves a double feature...why? because why not?! Today I get to chat with two Type 9's about all things Type 9. First up is the lovely Jilann. A fellow personality test enthusiast, she quickly landed on her type after reading "The Road Back to You". She and her Type 5 husband have three daughters; Types 3, 7, and 1---the Enneagram has helped their family in communication, meeting the needs of others how they need to be met, and even helping her and her husband learn to give space and grace for times where there's conflict and both needing time before continuing the conversation. We also talk about how the Enneagram has changed her life, and how she uses Type 3 in growth and Type 6 in stress. She is a fellow podcaster with her Enneagram Podcast called "Strength in Numbers" --be sure to give that a listen! You can follow Jilann on Instagram @jilenneagram_ Next, I get to chat with Julie, another Type 9 and the last 9 in our season! She shares all about her journey to finding the Enneagram---thank God for podcasts, books, and friends because they create curiosity in order for us to learn about the Enneagram and Julie feels the same way. She lets us into the world of Type 9 and the dangers of letting life pass by without living intentionally; about how 9's can sometimes merge with others, in conversation, behaviors, and occasional laughter. We also chat about the Enneagram's gift in helping all of us communicate with Types whose style of communication is different from ours and what a gift that can be. You can follow Julie on Instagram @juliemlmitchell and at www.juliemlmitchell.net
WE'RE BACK FRIENDS! Diane and Michaela catch up on one of our favorite topics... Musical Theatre! Michaela shares her experience at Sight & Sound in Lancaster, PA seeing David onstage. Diane talks about seeing Les Miz at Playhouse Square in downtown Cleveland. We are so glad live art/theatre is back and in full swing. We mention a few more shows and Diane shares an exciting announcement for next Easter---don't miss it!
Hey friends, you've heard a little bit of Diane and me talk about the Enneagram and my journey in becoming a coach so I thought I'd make it its own segment on our main podcast! In this episode, I get to introduce to you MY Enneagram Coach Leah who I worked with at the beginning of 2022. Y'all, get ready. This conversation is a bit different than the other ones before it and that is okay. It's what happens when two Fours are in the same space and someone hits record—it's a lot of fun! We chat about how Leah came to find the Enneagram and her type, Fours in the workplace, a fun Princess Bride reference, Fourness (in general, and yes, it's a thing), suffering, rest, and bodywork. This is a snapshot of what it's like to live in the mind space of a Four and even though it's a deep cistern, we have a good time. I hope you enjoy this episode; it was such a beautiful conversation. You can follow Leah on Instagram @
Hey friends, you've heard a little bit of Diane and I talk about the Enneagram and my journey in becoming a coach so I thought I'd make it its own segment on our main podcast! In this episode, we are talking with my new friend Melissa Shaver about all things Type 6. She shares about her journey of mistyping (most Six's find it hard to land on their type the first time) and how she didn't feel right until she landed on her number. Self-awareness for Melissa changed everything and it's a wonderful conversation about seeing that unfold in her life. We talk about Type 6's need for safety and security and how that looks in her life. She shares the hardships of making the right decision (especially with her inner committee) as well as understanding that trust is a choice. This conversation was so insightful that I hope you enjoy it! You connect with Melissa at Walking in Grace Ministries at www.walkingrace.org
Hey friends, you've heard a little bit of Diane and I talk about the Enneagram and my journey in becoming a coach so I thought I'd make it its own segment on our main podcast! In this episode, I have such a fun conversation with my new friend Terrie Power. She is a Type 9 from Texas and we chat about it all! From how she found her Type on the Enneagram to discovering her Social Subtype and how that brings about longings of belonging in groups to decision making and more, Terrie is so gracious to walk us into her experience as a Type 9. And make sure you listen till the very end where she talks about adding a pair of dice into your life to change up the mundane; trust me, I had chills and was blown away! I so enjoyed this conversation and I know you will too! Enjoy! You can follow Terrie on Instagram @
Hey friends, you've heard a little bit of Diane and I talk about the Enneagram and my journey in becoming a coach so I thought I'd make it its own segment on our main podcast! In this episode, I get the chance to chat with the lovely Anna Scott about all things Type 2. She tells us how she found the Enneagram, discovered her type, and how that has impacted her life. From school teacher to stepping out into the entrepreneurial space, she shares about Type 2's stress and growth path (going to 8 and 4 respectively) and how they can be used hand in hand to notify us of when we're veering off course. We talk about the power of saying "no" and how important it is for Type 2's to make and spend time with themselves -- because they're worth it! Enjoy! You can follow Anna on Instagram @
Hey friends, you've heard a little bit of Diane and I talk about the Enneagram and my journey in becoming a coach so I thought I'd make it its own segment on our main podcast! In this episode, I am so excited to chat with my new friend Dani Cooper (Type 1). Dani is such a sweet soul and so willing to share about how she sees the world through the lens of a Type 1. We talk about the 1's stress and growth path-- they go to 4 in stress and 7 in growth-- she shares some beautiful insight about accessing the high and low side of each number which means taking on behaviors/characteristics of those numbers on their perspective path. Dani shares how coaching has helped her see more beauty in the world and humanity. This is such a beautiful conversation and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! You can follow Dani on Instagram @deepwatersenneagram Dani Cooper is a Certified Enneagram Teacher and Coach for individuals, couples and teams. She is the author of a new book, The Enneagram for Christian Couples, which came out in March 2022. When she is not studying or teaching the Enneagram, you'll find her outside gardening and exploring nature with her husband and three kids. She is passionate about encouraging others to get on the road to self-discovery, and believes that only as we begin to understand ourselves, can we begin to truly love and care for the people in our lives and grow in our relationship with the world around us.
Hey friends, we're going to be taking a short fall break but we'll let you know when we're coming back! As Michaela always says, "don't forget to rest and drink your water!"
Hey friends, you've heard a little bit of Diane and I talk about the Enneagram and my journey in becoming a coach so I thought I'd make it its own segment on our main podcast! In this episode, I'm excited to talk to my new friend, Brandon Wilson (Type 9). Balance is the name of the game and we talk about how the Enneagram teaches balance within ourselves and how Jesus fits into the center of it all. We also chat about learning to show up for yourself (as a Type 9 that can be very hard to do), knowing that your presence matters, and what it looks like to have a healthy attitude about leaning into your Type 8 Wing from a Type 9's point of view. There was so much wisdom and insight from Brandon that I loved every minute of this and I hope you will too. Enjoy!
