Gavin and Mark talk about professional wrestling.
Sometimes, we take notes before we recordSometimes, we don'tSometimes, an episode comes out on timeSometimes, an episode comes out two weeks lateWe regret naming our last episode “Can It Get Any Worse” becauseThings got worseIn Wrestling:We predicted Paul Heyman managing a heel Roman Reigns… in 2018Vince turns out to be exactly the person we all thought he wasGavin gives Mark some bad Kenny Omega newsForbidden DoorBlood & GutsIn Hell:The Supreme Court goes full Fox NewsMark's turning heel and going to a gun rangeCovid is still aroundAre we going to make it?No.
So much horrible real-world shit keeps happening between episodes. At least we have pro wrestling to give us a break for a few hours each week. In this episode, we talk about our first live Dynamite, CM Punk's absence from the Dynamite in Baltimore, and sitting directly below Darby Allin and Sting. All that and more! Balti-more! Ha, ha!

We're on the Road to Revolution! Cody and Brandi left AEW! And we have three listeners now! Also: some really bad real-life booking this week. Let's get into it.
2021 was a huge year for pro wrestling. This week, Gavin and Mark touch briefly on their favorite moments of 2021 and talk about what they're looking forward to in 2022!

Say hi on Twitter: https://twitter.com/midcardmechanic
We're sharing stories from some recent travels, plus AEW is heating up and WWE is cooling down. Also: Subway tuna fish!
In this episode, we talk about our own dumb, crazy lives, whether or not it's a good idea to pack into an arena for some live wrestling, the NEWS from AEW, some Bad Booking, and we close it out with Boss Time.
It's the first time we've recorded in person since the pandemic began! We're on the road to Double or Nothing and Mark is ready to return to Twitter!
Mark got both doses of the vaccine and Gavin got COVID-19 in between doses. Plus: WrestleMania happened!
Can you believe it's time for WrestleMania again? We can't. We cover all of the matches announced so far. Also: Fox News doesn't seem to understand comedy, but that's something we CAN believe.
We're still in spring training, but that's not going to keep us from trying out some new segments like Bad Booking and When Wrestling Gets Real, plus some old favorites like Boss Time and the N-E-W-S from AEW. Buckle up!
We're back with a new name! So much has happened since we last recorded a podcast, and it's only been a few measly months. We try to catch up.
Brought to you by Barry, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Black Mirror, High Maintenance, Schitt's Creek, Vice Principals, Righteous Gemstones, Eastbound & Down, and The War on Drugs. Let's all wear our masks and get our vaccines, okay?
Gavin and Mark return to the RoofDeck so Mark can update Gavin on the ThunderDome, SummerSlam, and the rest of the electrifying news from WWE.
Chris Jericho's band Fozzy played at Sturgis and there wasn't a mask in sight. Marty Jannetty may or may not have confessed to a murder. WWE tried some new things on Raw. And AEW holds a women's tag team tournament but doesn't put it on TV. What a week to be a pro wrestling fan!
Back in July, Gavin and Mark hung out and recorded a physically-distanced podcast for the second time in five months due to the coronavirus. It felt like a monumental win!
Gavin and Mark stand around in the pouring rain and record a podcast about professional wrestling during a global pandemic and social unrest.
This was a rough week to be a wrestling fan, a human with an immune system, or a member of society. But we're taking deep breaths and trying the best we can.
Black lives matter! AEW and WWE expressed support for the protests for racial justice in America. Guess which company seemed to have the most genuine response!
Another episode coming out a little bit late! AEW Double or Nothing was fantastic. AEW is fantastic. Is there any wrestling better than AEW? No. We're the AEW Mechanics at this point.

Money in the Bank preview (even though MITB has already happened, sorry)! Plus: dogs, politics, and coronavirus!
It's our 70th episode and our fifth episode while social distancing. We don't have to tell you what it's like.
We're still self-isolating and not going crazy even a little bit!
Like all good patriots, we're still self-isolating to keep our communities safe. And also like all good patriots, we're still podcasting about pro wrestling!
We're doing the show from two different locations this week! If the coronavirus isn't going to stop WrestleMania, it's sure as hell not going to stop us!
It's like the Superstar Shakeup, except it's our podcast and we're changing the title! Over the coming weeks we'll continue to bring you our famous brand of insightful commentary on pro wrestling, politics, and the many ways they connect (though we wish they wouldn't). Plus: pee-pee jokes!
It's Royal Rumble and impeachment season! They each had a lot in common. Too much in common.
The Bash at the Beach went out to sea for a Rock 'n' Rager and the whole thing looked kind of exhausting. I don't think you read these descriptions, do you, Ronojoy? Ryan?
It's 2020 and we're back into the swing of watching AEW! Featuring special guest Kat (AKA Dundalk Diane)!
It's 2020! Can you believe it? We've taken a break from watching wrestling so we catch up on what we've missed. Plus: we've each picked our favorite match from 2019!
It's our last episode of the year! We look back at some of our favorite matches of the year and realize it's hard to pick just one. What a year to be a wrestling fan!
CM Punk has returned in the least-interesting and least-dramatic way possible. Hooray! Mark and Gavin catch up on that and the rest of the wrestling news from the past couple weeks and look forward to Survivor Series.
We're back, and hoo boy there was a lot to cover! AEW Full Gear came to our hometown of Baltimore, NXT and WWE are crossing over, and Survivor Series is coming up. Plus: impeachment hearings through the lens of pro wrestling! Oooooh yeah!
AEW continues to be everything we've ever hoped for when it comes to pro wrestling. And NXT's not bad either! We've stopped watching the main roster altogether. Do we miss it? What are we doing now that our Monday nights have freed up?
AEW has made us realize we're embarrassed to have been WWE fans for so long.
It was the biggest week in wrestling history. Monday Night Raw, AEW Dynamite, NXT, and Friday Night Smackdown. We cover it all. Or at least most of it. There was a lot. We did our best.`
NXT on USA premiered and it was fantastic! AEW's premiere is only a week away! Meanwhile: WWE has a storyline written by someone with a clear cuckolding fetish. The Wednesday Night Wars are warming up!
What does ASMR really stand for? Is the WWE desperate for ratings? Are we desperate for AEW to start? Tune in to find out!
Dang, we've really broken up with WWE, haven't we? We're all-in, all-out, and in full gear for AEW! We welcome AEW's Full Gear and Starrcast IV to our hometown of Baltimore.
It's our 50th episode extravaganza! We've got babyfaces, we've got friends, we've even got a couple discussions about wrestling! Here's to another 50 episodes. Thanks for listening!
SummerSlam: it was a wrestling event that took place! Also: Maybe the worst part about wrestling is wrestling fans. Except for us. We are elite.
AEW's premiere in DC sold out, and we didn't get tickets! The G1 Climax comes to its climax in just a few days! And we're on the road to SummerSlam! Yes, we talk about a surprising amount of wrestling on this one!
The heel president cut a promo on our hometown of Baltimore and we don't let him get away with it. Plus: AEW comes to TNT (and Washington DC!) on October 2nd!
Gavin was on vacation and Mark's roof blew off of his house. It's good to be back and talk about AEW and that other wrestling promotion if we have time!
A lot of people feel nostalgic for the WWE's Attitude Era. But how does it hold up today? Not great! This week, we take another look at some Val Venis highlights (lowlights?). Plus: we continue to be excited about all the new wrestling coming this fall! We’ll return from our summer break next Wednesday, July 24 with a full run-down of G1 Climax (so far), Fight for the Fallen, Extreme Rules, and everything else that happened while we were away. Thanks for listening!
