It was a pretty weird week and your girls are revved up! We're coming out of the gate with a streak of good ideas, one right after the other — an AEW Clue Game! A remake of 3 Men and a Baby but it's Two Men and a Hook! Josh "The Cockblock" Alexander! Brian Cage with a third knee! And then we kind of narrow in on One Big Good Idea that you might be able to guess: that's right, it's Ham. Anyway but yeah, the wrestling: we're talking about Hangman's new alliance with Eddie and Hook, we're talking about the Don Callis Family's aggressive recruiting of the Young Bucks, we're talking about what Mark Briscoe might do in the Don Callis mansion, we're talking about the Big Women's Blood N Guts and Tag Tourney!(00:00) Chitchat Time(15:50) Hangman, Eddie, Hook, and the Opps(36:26) Don Callis Family and the Young Bucks(56:58) Men's Blood and Guts(1:13:08) Women's Blood and Guts & Tag Tournament(1:28:19) FTR and BrodidoSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/social-suplex-podcast-network/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Acefield Retro & Chad are here for episode 149 to discuss all things pro wrestling. Salt Lake City's Saturday Night's Main Event captured WWE's late-2025 identity. CM Punk's World Heavyweight Championship win over Jey Uso gave the company a new anchor at the top, Cody Rhodes retained his Undisputed Championship in another clean, composed defense, and Jade Cargill officially began her reign as WWE Women's Champion by ending Tiffany Stratton's impressive year-long run. Dominik Mysterio continued his momentum with a smart, character-driven Intercontinental Title defense against Penta and Rusev. Seth Rollins confirmed a six-month recovery timeline following shoulder surgery after his Crown Jewel: Perth injury, officially ruling him out until spring 2026. WWE's creative direction remains centered on continuity, with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed leading The Vision and the CM Punk–Roman Reigns alliance giving the upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames an established focal point. John Cena officially announced his final match will take place on Saturday Night's Main Event December 13 in Washington, D.C., closing a twenty-year career where it began. A 16-man cross-brand tournament will determine his last opponent, and as Cena teased, "not everyone in this tournament works here yet." Reports suggest Gunther is the favorite to face him, potentially setting up one last "passing of the torch" moment before Cena's retirement. Over in AEW, Tony Khan confirmed both lineups for Blood & Guts, set for November 12 in Greensboro. The men's match will see The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, Mark Briscoe, Roderick Strong, and Darby Allin) face The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and PAC), while the first-ever women's Blood & Guts match will feature Mercedes Moné, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue battling Kris Statlander, Toni Storm, Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter, Queen Aminata, and Willow Nightingale. Meanwhile, Full Gear is beginning to take shape with Hangman Page vs. Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship, Kris Statlander vs. Mercedes Moné for the Women's World Title, and FTR vs. Brodido for the Tag Titles among the confirmed bouts. AEW's focus on faction warfare, long-form storytelling, and cross-promotional balance continues to define its late-year build. Elsewhere, Chelsea Green signed a new five-year WWE deal through 2030 and is set to challenge for the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles alongside Ethan Page at AAA Alianzas. Across the industry, promotions are closing the year by emphasizing stability, continuity, and legacy rather than volatility — a trend that defines wrestling's current moment as much as any title change. It was a week that highlighted structure over shock, balance over chaos, and transition over turbulence — a calm before what could be a seismic close to 2025 across all major promotions.
In this week's 5 Yrs Ago Flashback episode of the Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Post-show (11-4-2020), PWTorch editor Wade Keller was joined by ProWrestling.net's Jake Barnett to analyze AEW Dynamite with live callers and emails. Tim and Tom are back for a spooky edition of the All Elite Wrapup after an unexpected week off (blame the dishwasher!). The guys break down all the action from AEW's Fright Night Dynamite, including the Trick or Treat Tornado Tag match that saw Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy take on Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta. The discussion then moves to the Don Callis Family Summit, where a new family portrait was unveiled, and tensions flared between Takeshita and Okada. This leads into the Fright Night Four-Way tag match, with FTR emerging as the new #1 contenders for the Trios Titles held by Brodido. In the women's division, an injury to Penelope Ford shakes up the tag team tournament, leading to Marina Shafir stepping in to team with Megan Bayne. The rivalry between Kris Statlander and Mercedes Moné explodes, drawing in Athena and Willow Nightingale for a chaotic brawl. Finally, the crew recaps the wild four-way main event for a shot at the AEW World Championship, where Samoa Joe outlasted Hook, Ricochet, and Bobby Lashley. The night ends with a surprise contract signing, an appearance by the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, and the shocking reveal of Hangman Adam Page, setting the stage for a major title clash. All this, plus Tom pays off a lost bet by sporting a truly terrifying Jeff Jarrett t-shirt. This is a public episode. Diana's off this week, gearing up for her big Texas show with Joe Bob Briggs — so Johnny and Gringo take the reins for Episode 206 and break down a spooky, chaotic Fright Night edition of AEW Dynamite from Edinburg! Samoa Joe survives HOOK, Bobby Lashley, and Ricochet in the Fright Night Four-Way to earn a World Title shot at Full Gear, but Hangman Page gets the upper hand during the contract signing. FTR fight their way through JetSpeed, Jurassic Express, and the Young Bucks to earn a Tag Title match with Brodido, while Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy score the Trick or Treat Tornado Tag win over the Death Riders. The Sisters of Sin advance in the AEW Women's Tag Title Tournament, and Okada's staredown with Takeshita at the Don Callis Family Summit has the wrestling world buzzing. Johnny and Gringo cover all the highlights, twists, and setups as AEW barrels toward Blood and Guts and Full Gear — with no Diana, but plenty of AEW-some energy. It's a post PPV week and we had a lot to say! Moxley and Darby gave us a truly sexually unhinged I Quit match, which Mox obviously only quit because he had to get somewhere private to [redacted]. Sting showed up and so obviously we talked about catfish (the fish kind) (not the internet kind). We also do a deep dive into why Samoa Joe isn't working for us, though his Official Heel Turn did help, and what kind of narratives need some moralizing and which ones don't. In the Hall of the Mountain King started playing as we got through the rest of the show, where we love what Kris and Toni and Mercedes are doing, loved the Young Bucks with Jurassic Express, hate the Young Bucks with FTR, and get into what the Don Callis Family has its sticky little fingers in! Hoo boy, it's our post-PPV episode and it's STUFFED. To be perfectly frank, it'd be faster to tell you what we didn't talk about, which is: the Hurt Syndicate. We didn't talk about them at all. But everything else on All Out, from Kyle Entertainment Fletcher to Max Entertainment Caster? We got into it! We didn't have the best time watching the PPV, though that was on us as much as on the matches, but we're thrilled with all our 2019 and 2020 originals either coming back or getting titles and extra double thrilled that Mox and Darby brought each other to completion so many times they have to do it again at the next one.
