This podcast contains the weekly talks from Oasis Church Waterloo, from Steve Chalke and the rest of the team.

Rebekah continues our series 'Why did Jesus say that?' by exploring an incident record in the gospel of Mark. It involves Jesus breaking Jewish religious laws and crossing boundaries to go to an "unclean place", to meet an "unclean man", engaging with "unclean spirits" and "unclean animals" - but why?!

Nathan launches our new series 'Why did Jesus say that?' We look at the passages where Jesus is reported to have said some rather challenging things. What did Jesus really say and mean? We start looking at Matthew 25:31-46, this passage seems to talk about a final judgement and the separation of people like 'sheep and goats', doesn't it?

As a companion to the last part of our Seasons Change series, Nathan has created this short Contemplative Exercise to help you think about what stage you are at in your spiritual journey. This was inspired by "Listening to your life" by Julia Moraunt, 2016.

Nathan brings our Seasons Change series to a close, encouraging us to reflect on our personal spiritual journeys. There is a contemplative exercise that follows, which you may want to use to explore things further. Bible text: Hebrews 11

Part three of our Seasons Change series, and Jill talks about the rhythms and cycles of life, encouraging us to recognise the divine in them all.

In the second of our talks on Seasons Change, Rebekah talks about the lessons she's experienced from becoming a parent for the first time, seeing life through her child's eyes and bringing him in community.

Nathan Jones begins our new series "Season Change" by focusing on the topic of work, redundancy and finding your right career - if there is one! Bible texts: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, Jeremiah 29:11

In the final part of our Encounters With Jesus series, David Clegg talks about Zacchaeus' meeting with Jesus and the lessons we can learn from his response. Bible text: Luke 19: 1-10

In the third part of our Encounters With Jesus series, Nathan Palmer explores Jesus' meeting with the Pharisees. Unlike the other encounters we've looked at, this one takes a very different turn; were the Pharisees really the ‘bad guys' they're often made out to be?

In the second of our Encounters With Jesus series, Michelle Zahner talks about Martha's relationship with Jesus and it's a lot more counterculture than it first appears. Bible text: Luke 10: 38-42

In this series we look at the lives of people who had Encounters With Jesus. We considered what impact that meeting had on them and what we can learn from it that will help us today. Rebekah begins with one of Jesus' closest disciples, Simon Peter. Bible text: Luke 22:54-62

For the final part of our Wellbeing series, Jo Martyn encourages us to 'Be Present'. Bible Text: Psalm 46

Continuing our series related to the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, Dave Parr talks about the many ways we can give and the benefits it brings. Bible Text: Luke 6:27-38

Nathan Jones talks about the lessons he's learnt about being active. Bible text: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

Steve Chalke talks about how learning changes our perspective. Bible text: Matthew 4:18-22

The first in a series about Wellbeing. Jill Rowe talks about being connected. Bible text: John 21:1-14
