On July 30, 2026 Wizards of the Coast announced the return of the Dark Sun setting. If you are not familiar with this setting, think of it as Mad Max meets Dungeons and Dragons, but without the guns and cars. This is an impromptu episode where I discuss my thoughts on the return of this setting.

In this episode we will take a look at some of the aspects of Dungeons & Dragons that, over the last few years, have been labeled as problematic. We will be taking a look at topics like racism, sexism, politics, and the origin of orcs. This was not a fun episode to write. I tried to understand the views of both sides. Spoiler alert: I think both sides have issues, but they are not the same. This is a long episode, and I still don't think I covered everything I could have or should have touched upon. More importantly, there is the question of what we should do about aspects of D&D that are considered problematic. There is not an answer that will satisfy everyone, but I will do my best to discuss what we should do.

According to South African pastor Joshua Mhlakela the Rapture would occur sometime on September 23rd or 24th of 2025. This caused some faithful to take to TikTok and other social media platforms to express their thoughts on this upcoming event. In some extreme cases the faithful sold their homes and gave away everything they owned, confident they wouldn't need it anymore. But what exactly is the Rapture? Where does it appear in the Bible? In this episode we'll take a look at the Rapture and the various schools of thought on when it is supposed to occur.
