Flames rising. Police officers retreating. A community trying to protect itself. These scenes may evoke the chaos following George Floyd's murder on May 25, 2020. But they also describe what happened nearly two decades earlier, on Aug. 22, 2002, in north Minneapolis. That summer, community outrage erupted after a white Minneapolis police officer shot and wounded an 11-year-old Black boy.“It came at a time when tensions were already high,” reported MPR News' Brandt Williams in 2002. “An angry, predominantly Black crowd gathered and accused the police of targeting African Americans.”That unrest, like the one in 2020, drew the attention of the U.S. Department of Justice. But for longtime observers like Williams — who began covering the city in 1992 for the Black-owned “Insight News” — the story of police-community tensions in Minneapolis began long before Floyd's name became a rallying cry.Listen to MPR News senior editor Brandt Williams' conversation with Minnesota Now host Nina Moini. The segment was produced by Aleesa Kuznetsov and Megan Burks. It was engineered by Alex Simpson.

Man cannot build a government too small to misbehave or big to be misused, so the question is how to put checks and balances in place to prevent injustices from happening. In a very basic way, Western Civilization is an attempt to solve this fundamental problem, and the American Constitution is the result of centuries of work to create a solution.

Sean “Diddy” Combs' legal team is facing an uphill battle as they prepare to defend him against explosive federal charges of sex trafficking, drug distribution, and running a criminal enterprise. Prosecutors are expected to call multiple cooperating witnesses—many of them alleged victims and former insiders—whose stories span decades and paint a picture of a carefully controlled web of abuse, coercion, and violence. That cumulative weight makes it difficult for the defense to dismiss the case as opportunistic or fabricated. This isn't just about one accuser—it's about an alleged pattern of criminal conduct, and the government only needs to prove that pattern, not each individual act.Diddy's attorneys are expected to focus heavily on undermining the credibility of the accusers, possibly pointing to inconsistencies or financial motives. But in a federal RICO case, that only gets them so far. The structure of the case allows the government to use broader racketeering evidence to show intent and criminal enterprise, even if some parts are disputed. The defense also faces the court of public opinion, especially after damaging surveillance footage surfaced showing Diddy allegedly assaulting Cassie Ventura—footage that may or may not be admissible, but will almost certainly be on jurors' minds. All of this sets the stage for a high-stakes legal showdown where reputation, freedom, and legacy hang in the balance.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Sean 'Diddy' Combs defense lawyers face uphill battle in bid to undermine accusers | Reuters

John Cena's back on top… and Kevin Nash has thoughts. In this week's episode, Big Kev breaks down the shockwaves of WrestleMania and why he thinks the ending was more “Hogan in '96” than the crowd may have realized. From kayfabe power dynamics to merch-moving politics, it's all under the microscope as Kevin sets the table for what should come next. But before we get into the squared circle, we take a cinematic detour. Michael Mann's Heat, Kevin Bacon playing a literal devil's bounty hunter, and how many rewatches does it take to admit Collateral might not hold up? Kev's got opinions, Sean's got DVD nostalgia, and somehow Al Pacino ends up with a jobber's gimmick. Welcome to Kliq This. The boys also break down what it really means to “look like a star” in today's wrestling climate—whether you're a 6'10” killer or a 5'1” flipper. Kev doesn't mince words when comparing Rey Mysterio's legacy to modern high-flyers, and yes, someone ends up being called a Shetland pony. Is the WWE pricing out the working-class fan? Is Heyman really the MacGuffin that holds the industry together? And why do modern entrances feel more like Coachella sets than fight-night spectacles? Kev walks through the economics, the nostalgia, and the fire (literally) of what makes a great entrance… and why Diesel's never gotten the love it deserved. And finally, WrestleMania predictions fly fast and furious—including a huge twist involving Cena, Cody, and Paul Heyman. Kev sees the chessboard clearly, even if it ends with someone becoming a “Heyman bottom.” If that line doesn't get your attention, nothing will. Watch now—before the markets open.
At last week's AI Agent Builder Summit, hosted by Scott Hebner of theCUBE Research, the hype around “agentic AI” – autonomous software agents that can orchestrate complex tasks – was on full display. Demos and keynotes painted a bold vision of AI-driven business processes. But scratch beneath the surface, and a sobering reality emerges– Most enterprises are far from ready to reap the benefits of fully autonomous agents. Much work needs to be done to realize the full promise of agentic systems, including organizational alignment to create a true data culture, cleaning up data silos, harmonizing that data, assigning data ownership, data product thinking, getting governance and security right, choosing technology partners, rationalizing SaaS and on-prem applications portfolios, and of course change management to get all this done. Starting the journey toward an agentic enterprise is an exciting imperative, but in our view will take the better part of a decade to realize its full promise. In this Breaking Analysis, we put the summit's optimism into context, examine why enterprise adoption of agentic AI is on a slower trajectory than the hype would imply, and update our “yellow brick road” to agentic – i.e. the stepping stones required to get to the promised land of agentic automation.
This week on Driving Law, Kyla Lee and Paul Doroshenko dive into the BC government's newly announced overhaul of the province's graduated licensing system—a change that's already making waves on TikTok. Under the new rules, drivers will no longer need to take a road test to graduate from an N to a Class 5 license. But instead of full driving privileges, new Class 5 drivers will receive a restricted license that maintains many of the same limitations as the N, including zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs, restrictions on electronic device use, and potentially even passenger limits. Kyla and Paul break down what the legislation actually says, how it leaves room for expanded regulation by ICBC, and why these changes could mean more money flowing from drivers to the government through added licensing fees, reinstatement costs, and dispute applications. They also explore the potential for unequal treatment of international and out-of-province drivers and the long-standing question of whether these rules are about safety—or simply revenue. Then, in Ridiculous Driver of the Week, they discuss a Burnaby driver who was fined for having their dog in their lap while driving—raising questions about safety, enforcement, and whether our furry passengers should be considered unsecured cargo. Today's episode is unlike any I've ever shared. It's a conversation with my late father, Alan Storey—recorded in 2018, but never meant for the public. After his passing in January 2025, I felt called to revisit this powerful archive of family history, healing, and redemption. While it wasn't originally intended for listeners, I've come to realize that this story holds universal themes worthy of sharing. This is more than a podcast—it's an offering from one generation to the next. We dive into stories from his childhood in a rough Colorado oil town, his battles with addiction, his unlikely healing journey, and the wisdom he earned along the way. This is a raw, emotional, and sometimes wild conversation—one that I hope brings comfort, healing, and inspiration to anyone navigating loss or seeking to better understand where they come from. This episode is ad-free and deeply personal. Everyone knows that Seattle is Pearl Jam's hometown city, but just like Chicago is a hometown city for Eddie Vedder, so is San Diego. Not just that, but it extends to both Mike McCready and Matt Cameron as well. So any time that the band gets to travel to San Diego, there's no doubt that you're in for a special show. In 2006, that's exactly what happens. The band played with their pants on fire and every song had high octane energy as the hometown crowd was treated to something special. The main story from this show took place at the top of the encore where Ed paid tribute to his former drama teacher, a man named Clayton E. Liggett, who Ed had a theater created in his name. He told the story about finding out the night he passed away during the Mirrorball sessions. After hearing of the news, he went back into the studio and started to strum his guitar with the opening chord of what would become Long Road. We'll talk about how important this moment was when looking back on the history of this band, and we'll also share our own personal stories of how teachers have impacted our lives. There are so many ways we can all connect to Ed, and this story is transcendent due to his vulnerability in sharing that. There are also some big time performances at this show. The first four songs of this show from Oceans to Brain Of J. set the bar incredibly high for the night, and then incredible performances to follow such as Even Flow, You Are, Satan's Bed, Inside Job, Rearviewmirror with a Life Wasted inspired improv, Crown Of Thorns, a big time Alive solo and the debut of Big Wave. We'll spend the episode discussing which 2006 shows best define this era and if this show deserves to be in the conversation. Is this a candidate for the Live On 4 Legs hall of fame? Panos Panay is in charge of devices and services at Amazon — that's everything from Alexa and Kindle to Ring, Eero, and even the Project Kuiper satellite internet service that's meant to compete with Starlink. He's led the team through giving Alexa a big AI infusion which is what drew him to Amazon after nearly 20 years with Microsoft. Like so many folks in tech, he sees AI as a platform shift that will change the way we use computers. Fair warning: We talk about Alexa a lot in this one, so you might want to go mute your Alexa device mics now. Welcome to Episode 38 of Season 1 of That Greenwich Life! This week, I'm taking a moment to reflect on staying grounded, finding balance, and letting go of the hustle—especially when life (or vacation) feels like a whirlwind. This episode is for anyone who feels like they're always going, planning, doing—but struggling to simply be. After an epic February break with my family—first at Beaches Turks & Caicos, then at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida—I realized just how much our nervous systems dictate how we move through life. Whether it's rushing from one resort activity to the next, trying to make the most of every moment, or simply forgetting to pause and breathe, this trip reminded me of the power of presence over planning. I also take a deep dive into a difficult chapter of my life—navigating IVF, loss, and the deep emotional toll of it all. Returning to Universal Studios years later, under completely different circumstances, was a powerful full-circle moment that reminded me how much healing can happen over time.In This Episode:• How an over-scheduled vacation made me realize I was still operating in hustle mode.• The difference between being present and just checking things off a to-do list.• The full-circle moment of returning to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter after one of the hardest seasons of my life.• Navigating IVF, loss, and the unexpected ways healing happens over time.• Why true grounding comes from within—not from the perfect plan, place, or schedule.
