Circle of Parks Podcast: Talking all things Walt Disney World
Imagine experiencing Walt Disney World without the stress, phone battery anxiety, or exhaustion that often accompanies a theme park vacation. That's exactly what we discovered on our recent seven-day adventure through Disney's magical world. Our journey began at Blizzard Beach water park, taking advantage of the free entry offered to resort guests on check-in day. Unlike the sometimes overwhelming Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach proved more navigable and family-friendly, setting the perfect tone for our vacation. Afterward, we checked into the elegant Grand Destino Tower at Coronado Springs, where Spanish-inspired design and relaxing ambiance created an upscale retreat from park excitement. The game-changer for our trip? Lightning Lane Multi-Passes. Yes, we spent an additional $725, but the freedom this investment provided transformed our experience completely. Without constantly checking our phones for return times or standing in lengthy queues, we discovered a more relaxed approach to Disney that we didn't know was possible. Each day brought new delights as we explored the parks at our own pace. At EPCOT, we walked right onto Soarin' while others rushed to Guardians of the Galaxy, savoring the often-overlooked attraction without crowds. Hollywood Studios surprised us with impressive new shows featuring The Little Mermaid and Disney Villains, both showcasing technology and storytelling that exceeded our expectations. And Animal Kingdom delivered perhaps the best safari experience we've ever had, with nearly every animal visible and active. One unexpected revelation: taking occasional breaks from each other made our family time more meaningful. Those 30-45 minutes of "me time" – whether wandering Galaxy's Edge with a Gold Squadron Lager or people-watching from a bench near Cinderella Castle – prevented friction and recharged everyone's spirits. From watching fireworks at the Polynesian beach to discovering what might be Disney property's best burger at D-Luxe Burger, our unhurried approach uncovered magic we'd previously rushed past. We followed our Disney adventure with four days at Vero Beach Resort, where we discovered buffalo-tossed Disney chicken tenders that should absolutely make their way to the parks!Ready to experience Disney differently? Let our journey inspire you to slow down, prioritize enjoyment over exhaustion, and discover the true magic that happens when you're not checking the time. The Michigan race turned out to be the highest rated of the season thus far although I think we all agree the Coke 600 was a better race. Denny got the job done for the third time this year. We debate his ability to close the deal on the championship and give some counter takes on Byron and Gibbs. LFG!

(0:00) Leroy Irvin and Cerrone Battle begin the show with reaction from the (5-4) 2OT/Final as the Panthers knot the Oilers in the Stanley Cup Finals (1-1). Former Bruin, Brad Marchand played a major role in the Panthers' Game 2 win, with 2 goals - including the game winner in 2OT. How should the Bruins fans feel about Marchand's impact this postseason? The musical theme is revealed to be songs about "Rain" - as it's another rainy, gloomy day in Massachusetts on a Saturday. (15:14) Leroy and Cerrone react to the Red Sox (9-6) loss to the New York Yankees. Leroy proclaims, "The thrill is gone!" and asks, "How can the rivalry get back to being exciting?" The panel share their thoughts. (25:28) Irvin and Battle break down the woes for the Red Sox following comments made postgame by Sox manager, Alex Cora. Leroy poses the question, "Who's to blame for the Red Sox underachieving thus far?" Is it fair to label Cora as the scapegoat for the Red Sox early season struggles? The duo discusses. (36:10) Who is the correct person/situation to direct blame towards for a team's demise? - The Owners? Upper Management? Coaching? Star Players? Lack of Supporting Talent? Being Soft? Behind The Scene Issues? -- Leroy and Cerrone offer their response along with the callers. ------------------------------------------- FOLLOW ON TWITTER/X: @BostonLIrvin | @Cerrone_Battle | @jorgiesepulveda

On this episode of The Discourse, host Mike DeAngelo is joined by Jai Courtney, the star of the new shark thriller "Dangerous Animals"—a tense and darkly fun survival tale about people who become trapped at sea and hunted by a relentless predator. The Sean Byrne film also stars Hassie Harrison, Josh Heuston, Ella Newton, and more. Courtney has tackled a wide range of roles throughout his career—heroes, villains, and wildcards—in everything from "Suicide Squad" to "The Terminal List" to "Divergent" and beyond. But in "Dangerous Animals," he fully embraces his character's layered chaos, playing a grizzled, morally complicated serial killer named Tucker with an energy that's both menacing and magnetic—like a great white circling his prey with a big shark-toothed smirk.READ MORE: ‘Bring Her Back': Michael & Danny Philippou Discuss Their Horror Evolution, Crying With Sally Hawkins, ‘Street Fighter,' & ‘Talk 2 Me' [The Discourse Podcast]
