December 17, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 65 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the latest news concerning the Pittsburgh Steelers. We discuss the recent transactions made by the Steelers in addition to the team bringing in quite a few players for visits on Tuesday and the likely reasons for that. Former Steelers WR Ke'Shawn Williams was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, so we make sure to hit on that little nugget of news as well. Either the Steelers or the Baltimore Ravens will win the AFC North division this year and on top of that, neither team is likely to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. Because of all that, and based on what may or may not happen in Week 16, Alex and I wonder if there could be a situation where either the Steelers or the Ravens, or even both teams, wind up resting players in Week 17 in preparation for a winner-take-all game against each other in Week 18. After poor and inconclusive discussion about potential scenarios in Week 17, Alex and I began our weekly recap of the all-22 tape of the Steelers' last game, the Monday night win against the Miami Dolphins. We start on the offensive side of the football for the Steelers and spend a lot of time discussing the play of T Dylan Cook against the Dolphins. We go over the other good, bad and ugly related to the Monday night offensive all-22 tape. After thoroughly discussing the offensive tape from Week 15, Alex and I then do the same when it comes to the defensive side of the football. We discuss the Steelers defense shutting down the Dolphins' running game on Monday night and how the unit went about limiting the Miami passing game for most of the game as well. Are the Steelers currently a team that could make some noise in the playoffs this year, assuming they indeed do wind up making the postseason tournament? Alex and address that question after we are finished discussing the Monday win against the Dolphins. This 87-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. December 16, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 64 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Tuesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 15 Monday night win against the Miami Dolphins. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Monday night inactive list and the players that missed the contest due to injuries. We also talk about the several transactions that the team made on Monday afternoon. The Steelers sustained a few injuries Monday night, so we discuss those in addition to the outlook of several players looking to return from injuries. We also go over what Steelers HC Mike Tomlin had to say on Tuesday about OLB T.J. Watt, who missed the Monday night contest with a lung issue. Tomlin held his weekly press conference right before we recorded this episode, so Alex and I make sure to recap all of the main talking points that came out of that media session during this show. After going through the newsy items related to Monday, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Acrisure Stadium against the Dolphins. We first talk about the play of the Steelers' offense and how the Number 11 plays a big part in today's show. We discuss the play of QB Aaron Rodgers on Monday night and how T Dylan Cook represented himself well in his first NFL start. Alex and I mix in quite a few stats related to the Monday night game and we discuss how the offense came alive right before the second half ended. We go over several big plays that the offense made on Monday night and we make sure to spend extra time talking about the season that RB Kenneth Gainwell has had to date. After a lengthy discussion about the play of the Steelers' offense, Alex and then do the same with the team's defense. We discuss that unit controlling the Dolphins' rushing attack and how QB Tua Tagovailoa was made to hold the football way too ,long most of the game. We discuss several individual performances on defense, and we mix in snap counts along the way, in addition to several key stats. Finally, Alex and I give some thoughts on special teams play from Monday night. The New York Jets are reportedly waiving WR Allen Lazard on Tuesday, so we discuss the possibility and plausibility of him landing in Pittsburgh due to his association with Rodgers. Will and should the Steelers go with Cook as their starting left tackle moving forward? Alex and I address that question at length during this show. This 92-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Miami Dolphins Monday night to close out Week 15 of the 2025 NFL regular season. Alex and I quickly update the latest concerning Steelers OLB T.J. Watt, who is currently recovering from a partially collapsed lung that happened during a procedure late last week. We discuss Watt being officially ruled out for the Monday night game versus the Dolphins and what his prognosis for more missed games may or may not be. In addition to Watt, the Steelers have two other players that have been ruled out for Monday night in addition to two others being listed as questionable. Those two questionable players are DT Derrick Harmon (knee) and RB Jaylen Warren (illness), who was added to the team's injury report during this show. The Steelers are sure to have some transactions announced on Monday so Alex and I go over what those moves might possibly look like. We do, however, get news during the show that WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be signed off the team's practice squad later in the day. After going over a lot of housekeeping early in this show, Alex and I then welcome Hal Habib back to the podcast. Habib covers the Dolphins for The Palm Beach Post, and he is in Pittsburgh on Monday to cover the Monday night game. We spend 30 minutes with Habib discussing the Dolphins season to date in addition to previewing the Monday night game between Miami and Pittsburgh. He gives us his insight into the Dolphins when it comes to both sides of the football ahead of the Monday night game. We also give out score predictions for the Monday night game to wrap up that segment. Finally, Alex and quickly go over what else transpired in the NFL on Sunday and how the Week 18 game between the Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens still figures to be one where the winner goes to the playoffs and the loser stays home for the postseason. Watt, who is currently dealing with a lung issue that could prevent him from playing Monday night against the Miami Dolphins. Alex and I go over the Friday morning report from Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network about Watt and how he is allegedly dealing with a tiny hole in one of his lungs. The Steelers released their first injury report of Week 15 on Thursday, so Alex and I make sure to recap it early in this show. We discuss the possibility of T Andrus Peat and DT Derrick Harmon not playing on Monday night against the Dolphins. We also talk a little about the big opportunity that potentially awaits T Dylan Cook should he wind up making his first NFL start on Monday night should Peat wind up being unable to play. The Steelers made several transactions the last two days, so Alex and I make sure to recap those, which includes two offensive linemen being added to the practice squad and Cook being signed to the 53-man roster. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about QB Philip Rivers making a comeback with the Indianapolis Colts this week and at the age of 44. We discuss how we think that Rivers' comeback might go and where we are excited to potentially see him play on Sunday. The Steelers are dealing with quite a few injuries this week as they are preparing to play at home on Monday night against the Miami Dolphins. Alex and I go over that list of injured players and the key ones we will be watching the statuses of throughout the remainer of the week. Rookie DT Derrick Harmon might be able to return this week from his knee injury so Alex and I discuss how impactful that could be when it comes to the Steelers defense. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Tuesday, and he certainly gave us quite a few talking points to discuss. We roll through the notable things Tomlin said and that includes him seemingly taking a shot at Baltimore Ravens HC John Harbaugh for having conversation with the NFL offices in New York about a few calls that went against Baltimore's way on Sunday. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday road win against the Ravens now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad, and ugly that we uncovered from that when it comes to the team's offensive, defensive, and special teams play in Baltimore. December 8, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 60 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 14 Sunday road game against the Baltimore Ravens. We also discuss the Steelers now leading the AFC North and having their playoff chances rise significantly after beating the Ravens. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday afternoon inactive list and how it surprisingly included WR Roman Wilson. We talk about WR Adam Thielen and WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling both being active on Sunday along with WR Scotty Miller and why HC Mike Tomlin seemingly decided to go in that direction. The Steelers sustained several injuries Sunday, so we discuss what happened to TE Darnell Washington, ILB Malik Harrison, and T Andrus Peat. We also discuss the Monday morning report of WR DK Metcalf needing to stay behind in Baltimore Sunday evening because of stomach pains and how he needed to go to a hospital to get checked out. After going through the newsy items related to injuries and the Sunday inactive list, Alex and I look at what all transpired at M&T Bank Stadium against the Ravens. We first talk about the play of the Steelers' offense and how we saw the deep passing game come alive. We also discuss what a great game that QB Aaron Rodgers played against the Ravens. We make sure to highlight the great play and extra effort of Metcalf on Sunday. We also make sure to hit on the Steelers running game being poor against the Ravens and how the offense failed to move the ball any in their final three possessions, all of which came in the fourth quarter. We then discuss the Steelers' defense doing just enough to win on Sunday and how several individual efforts on that side of the football played a big part in the victory. We also discuss the Ravens offense was unable to make key plays late in the game that could have won the game for them. We go over how the Steelers run defense still has room for quite a bit of improvement after Sunday's win in Baltimore. Obviously, there were several controversial plays that happened during Sunday's game, so Alex and I go over the three huge ones, all of which went in the Steelers' favor. We go over those plays by including what was said in the media pool report interview that took place with the game's referee Alex Moore and NFL Vice President of Instant Replay Mark Butterworth. After completely breaking down the Sunday game against the Ravens, Alex and I then address the Saturday report concerning Tomlin and his current contract and how it includes an option decision in March of 2026 for his 2027 year. We also discuss the NFL calendar in relation to March 1 and how Tomlin reportedly has a no-trade clause in his contract. Alex and I discuss how it's almost guarantees that Tomlin will be the head coach of the Steelers through at least the 2026 season and how team president Art Rooney II will more than likely exercise the 2027 year by this coming March 1. After discussing the Tomlin contract situation, Alex and I look at the AFC North division and the current playoff seeding. We also discuss how the Steelers' final regular season game against the Ravens may or may not have meaning by the time we get to Week 18. December 5, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 59 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Baltimore Ravens on the road on Sunday afternoon. We open this show by going over the latest regarding former Steelers CB Darius Slay, who was waived by the team this past week. We discuss him not reporting to the Buffalo Bills after they claimed him off waivers and whether he will now just go ahead and retire. We make sure to tackle a few things that Slay said about the Steelers and HC Mike Tomlin during his Thursday night podcast interview with Emmanuel Acho. Alex and I move forward in this show by looking at the Steelers' most recent transactions made and the team's Thursday injury report. We talk about the team likely not having backup T Calvin Anderson this week due to a knee injury and how it's looking like rookie CB Donte Kent won't make it back from the Reserve/Injured list this season. We also discuss the Steelers secondary seemingly being dinged up heading into Sunday's road game against the Ravens. The Ravens are dealing with several key injuries this week as well and so Alex and I recap what their Thursday report said and how there are really just three players to watch closely on Friday's report. We discuss Ravens QB Lamar Jackson likely playing through his ankle injury on Sunday. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. We discuss whether the team will finally start playing TE Pat Freiermuth more than TE Jonnu Smith based on what Smith had to say about the two players on Sunday. A few comments made by Austin concerning the team's defense get our attention in this show as well. Steelers S DeShon Elliott and OLB Alex Highsmith are both in the news this week for their off-the-field community activities, so we recap those items. New Steelers WR Adam Thielen talked to the media on Thursday, so we go over a few things that he had to say. We discuss the level of potential impact that Thielen might be able to make on Sunday against the Ravens and which wide receivers might lose some snaps should the newest Steeler indeed be active against the Ravens. We welcome Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner back to the show on Friday, and he helps us preview the Steelers-Ravens game. Shaffer has covered the Ravens for many seasons, and he certainly knows that team inside and out. We get his thoughts on several things related to the Sunday afternoon game in Baltimore and his recap of the Ravens' season to date in addition to his outlook for the team moving into Sunday. December 3, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 58 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers making several transactions on Tuesday as they get ready to play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. We discuss the waiving of CB Darius Slay and how the writing was on the wall for that move to happen. We also discuss Slay being waived with a non-injury settlement and what that may or may not mean. We also discuss the problems the Steelers have had when it comes to signing defensive players over the age of 30. The Steelers claimed former Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen off waivers on Tuesday so Alex and I discuss that transaction. We go over Thielen's fit on offense, how much playing time he might see, and what is addition to the 53-man roster might mean when it comes to WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who remains on the team's practice squad. We discuss the possibility of both Thielen and Valdes-Scantling playing on Sunday against the Ravens. The Steelers won't have DT Derrick Harmon (knee) on Sunday so we discuss what a big deal that might be when it comes to stopping the Ravens' rushing attack in Baltimore. We also make sure to go over the fact that CB James Pierre (concussion) and ILB Patrick Queen (glute) are starting the week off with questionable listings after both were injured in the game this past Sunday. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference and Tuesday, and he certainly gave us quite a few talking points to discuss. We roll through the notable things Tomlin said on Tuesday. The outcome of the Steelers Sunday game against the Ravens has a large swing of playoff probabilities attached to both teams so Alex and I go over what ESPN has listed. We also discuss how there's a good chance that the AFC North division might be won by a team with a 9-8 record. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday home loss to the Buffalo Bills now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the bad, ugly and very little good that we uncovered from that when it comes to the team's offensive, defensive, and special teams play. Should TE Jonnu Smith be sat down for Sunday's game against the Ravens? We go over some seldom-used stats related to how the Steelers' offense has performed so far this season when he is on and off the field. If Tomlin remains the head coach of the Steelers past the 2025 season, will and should the Steelers fire OC Arthur Smith and DC Teryl Austin? Alex and I make sure to address that question later in this show. This 110-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted and we wrap things up by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. December 1, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 57 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 13 Sunday home loss to the Buffalo Bills. As you can probably imagine, this show begins with a lot of gloom, despair, and agony vibes. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday afternoon inactive list and how the Steelers decided to sit CB Darius Slay as one of their five inactive players against the Bills. The Steelers sustained a few injuries Sunday, so we discuss what happened to ILB Patrick Queen and CB James Pierre. We also discuss QB Aaron Rodgers getting beat up more on Sunday against the Bills. The Steelers made a few transactions on Saturday with one of those being T Broderick Jones being placed on the Reserve/Injured list. We discuss Jones likely being out for the season and the offseason decision the Steelers have with him when it comes to his fifth-year option. After going through the newsy items related to Saturday and Sunday, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Acrisure Stadium against the Bills. We first talk about the play of the Steelers' defense and how poor things looked on that side of the football once again. We discuss the historical day the defense had, clearly a negative, and how the Bills offense ran at will against the unit by essentially spamming just two plays. We discuss the Steelers' defense being unable to get to Bills QB Josh Allen on Sunday and how he used his legs, instead of his arm, to really impact the game. We also discuss the coverage bust the Steelers defense had on his lone touchdown pass as well. After beating up on the defense, Alex and I go over the lackluster play from the Steelers offense against the Bills. We talk about the unit's inability to run many plays, the overall lack of a running game, and how there was no passing game down the field to speak of. We discuss a few poor decisions that QB Aaron Rodgers seemingly made against the Bills and how he remains out of sync with TE Jonnu Smith. We go over a few things Rodgers had to say postgame in addition to things that OLB T.J. Watt said to the media. We also discuss the reaction Mike Tomlin had to Sunday's loss postgame. We also talk about the poor offensive schemes and game plans that OC Arthur Smith has put on display recently. The "Fire Tomlin" chants are getting louder in Pittsburgh, so Alex and I discuss that topic. We discuss our faith and lack of faith in Tomlin moving forward. We discuss the Steelers only having two home games remaining and how Tomlin is probably thankful for that. Special teams certainly played a role in the Steelers' loss to the Bills, so Alex and I make sure to hit on what went wrong in that phase of the game on Sunday. Alex and I certainly aren't bullish at all on the Steelers when it comes to their final five games and thus playoff chances. In this Friday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare to play the Buffalo Bills at home on Sunday afternoon. With the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens both losing on Thanksgiving, Alex and I discuss the importance of the Steelers beating the Bills at home on Sunday. We talk about how a loss to the bills could potentially limit the Steelers' Wild Card spot chances down to one spot, assuming they don't ultimately win the AFC North division. Alex and I move forward in this show by looking at the Steelers' Thursday injury report, and specifically what the current outlook is for QB Aaron Rodgers, CB Joey Porter Jr., and WR Ben Skowronek when it comes to Sunday's game. We discuss the likelihood of OL Andrus Peat being the starting left tackle on Sunday with T Broderick Jones sidelined for this Week 13 contest. The Bills are dealing with several key injuries this week as well and so Alex and I recap what their Thursday report looked like and how it seems Buffalo is likely to be without their two starting tackles on Sunday. We also talk about the Bills recently signing veteran WR Bradin Cooks and the role he might have against the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. We talk about what Smith had to say about hunting for more explosive plays on offense and what Austin had to say about some of the woes the team's defense has had. We welcome Matt Parrino of Syracuse.com back to the show on Friday, and he helps us preview the Steelers-Bills game. Parrino has covered the Bills for many seasons, and he certainly knows that team inside and out. We get his thoughts on several things related to the Sunday afternoon game in Pittsburgh and that includes his analysis of QB Josh Allen, OC Joe Brady, and the several injuries that Buffalo is dealing with this week. Parrino gives us his outlook for the 2025 Bills moving forward this season and while he doesn't give a final score prediction on Friday morning, he gives his early thoughts on how he sees the Sunday game in Pittsburgh going and which team he's leaning toward picking as the winner. We also discuss the news related to injured Steelers DL Daniel Ekuale being given a five-game suspension on Tuesday and the impact that has on him and the team. Alex and I then go over the list of injured Steelers players heading into Week 13 and that includes DT Derrick Harmon and T Broderick Jones already being ruled out for Sunday's home game against the Buffalo Bills. We discuss whether Calvin Anderson or Andrus Peat will replace Jones at left tackle on Sunday and if both DL Logan Lee and DL Brodric Martin-Rhodes will be active on Sunday with Harmon sidelined. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin addressed the health QB Aaron Rodgers on Tuesday, so we discuss the optimism he showed when it comes to the team possibly having their starter back on Sunday against the Bills. We also discuss the other injured players that Tomlin listed during his Tuesday press conference, As usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of Tomlin Tuesday. We discuss what Tomlin had to say about the team's loss to the Chicago Bears this past Sunday, the late illegal formation penalty in that game and what he said about the play of QB Mason Rudolph in that contest. We also discuss Tomlin focusing on special teams play to open his Tuesday press conference. Tomlin was asked about the usage of the middle of the field in the passing game on Tuesday, so we go over his comments on that subject. Alex and I also look at some passing stats related to deep and ultra deep attempts so far this season as it relates to usage of the middle of the field. We also recap Tomlin essentially glossing over the defensive schematics used on one of the touchdown passes the Bears had on Sunday. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday road loss to the Bears now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered from that when it comes to the offense, defense, and special teams. We start with the offense and go over the missed deep shots, the effectiveness of the running game, and the several second and long runs in that contest. After talking about the offensive play on Sunday, Alex and I move on to talk some about what we saw from the Steelers' defense on the All-22 tape from the Bears game. We go over the lack of pressure on Bears QB Caleb Williams in that Week 12 game, the opposing offense's ability to attack between the numbers in the passing game, and how that side of the football played against the Chicago running game. Alex and I mix in quite a few tape observations during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. Would it be a huge shock to most fans of the Steelers should the team beat the Bills on Sunday at home? We address that question later in this show. In our weekly housekeeping portion of this Monday show, which is sponsored by the fine folks at TouringPlans.com, Alex and I talk about the Sunday afternoon inactive list and how the Steelers decided to sit QB Aaron Rodgers as one of the team's five inactive players against the Bears. We discuss Rodgers not even being listed as the emergency third quarterback on Sunday. The Steelers sustained a few injuries during Sunday's road loss to the Bears, so we discuss what happened to CB Joey Porter Jr. (hip), T Broderick Jones (stinger), and WR DK Metcalf (ankle) during the contest. We also discuss the prospects of Rodgers returning to action on Sunday for the team's week 13 home game. After going through the newsy items related to Sunday's game, Alex and I look at what all transpired at Soldier Field in Chicago. We first talk about the play of the Steelers' defense and how poor things looked on that side of the football. We discuss that unit's play against the run on Sunday and several plays of 10 yards or longer that were allowed. We also discuss the defense's inability to get pressure on Bears QB Caleb Williams on Sunday. The Steelers methodology and scheming late in the first half against the Bears really upset Alex and me. We also discuss the longest touchdown pass allowed by the Steelers defense on Sunday and how the coverage used on that play shouldn't have been completely utilized. After discussing the play of the Steelers' defense against the Bears, Alex and I then do the same when it comes to Pittsburgh's offense. We talk a lot about how QB Mason Rudolph played overall and his inability to effectively push the football down the field through the air. We discuss Rudolph's intended air yard average as well as his completed air yard average. We also talk about how poorly Rudolph performed on Sunday when using play-action. While the Steelers' running game was effective enough against the Bears, it still wasnt enough to help the passing game portion of the offense. The offensive line, in our opinion, played well overall. We discuss the tight end output, the overall lack of yards after the catch on Sunday, and much more. The illegal formation penalty on the Steelers offense late in Sunday's game really disturbed Alex and me. We discuss how and why that shouldn't have happened and how a timeout should have been called to avoid the penalty. Special teams certainly played a role in Sunday's loss, so Alex and I make sure to hit on what went wrong in that phase of the game at Soldier Field. We make sure to discuss a few in-game decisions made by Steelers HC Mike Tomlin throughout this show as well. The Steelers are really just a mid team this year and that's been known for several weeks now. We discuss the contraption that Rodgers wore on his injured left wrist on Thursday and he reportedly looked as a limited practice participant. We move forward from Pittsburgh's injury report heading into Friday to look briefly at the injured players that Chicago is currently dealing with. On Thursday, we once again heard from two of the Steelers' coordinators, Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin, so Alex and I recap the main talking points to come out of those media sessions. November 19, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 52 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right into talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers making a few transactions since our last show with one of those being the signing of QB/WR John Rhys Plumlee back to the practice squad on Tuesday. We talk about why Plumlee was likely added to the practice squad in addition to discussing why five other players were brough in for tryouts on Tuesday. Alex and I then go over the list of injured players the Steelers have heading into Week 12 with QB Aaron Rodgers obviously being our main focus due to a fracture of some kind in his left wrist. We discuss what all HC Mike Tomlin had to say on Tuesday about Rodgers possibly playing on Sunday against the Chicago Bears and whether our gut feelings tell us when it comes to that possibly happening. Should the Steelers strongly consider starting QB Mason Rudolph against the Bears regardless of what transpires this week with Rodgers? Alex and I attack that question in this show and also talk about the possibility of Rodgers being the backup on Sunday against the Bears. We also talk a little about rookie QB Will Howard possibly getting a few first-team reps this week with Rodgers slowed by injury. As usual, Alex and I parse all of the notable talking points that came out of Tomlin Tuesday. We discuss what Tomlin had to say about playing time on Sunday for CB Darius Slay and CB James Pierre and if indeed the former will wind up resuming as the starter against the Bears if he clears concussion protocol this week. We discuss what playing time on Sunday might and should look like on Sunday against the Bears when it comes to both Slay and Pierre. Tomlin talked some about TE Darnell Washington and his usage in the offense on Tuesday, so we make sure to dive a bit deeper into those comments. We also talk about what Tomlin had to say about the reaction S Jalen Ramsey had to Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase spitting on him in the second half of the Week 11 Sunday game at Acrisure Stadium. With Chase having his one-game suspension upheld on Tuesday as part of his appeal process, Alex and I address what should happen to every player that spits on another player during a game and how the NFL needs to take a more defined punishment stance moving forward. With the All-22 tape from the Steelers' Sunday home win against the Bengals now fully digested by us, Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly that we uncovered from that. We start with the defense and go over how that unit effectively did against the pass on Sunday and the changes that we have seen schematically the last several weeks with Ramsey and Kyle Dugger now manning the two safety positions. We also discuss the three outside linebacker packages the Steelers used on Sunday against the Bengals and how effective that was. After talking about the defensive play on Sunday, Alex and I move on to talk some about what we saw from the Steelers offense on the all-22 tape from the game against the Bengals. We were both less enthused when it came to that side of the football and we explain why. We also wonder if Rudolph might try to push the football down the field more on Sunday against the Bears should he indeed get the start in that contest over the injured Rodgers. Alex and I mix in quite a few tape observations during this show and we make sure to discuss the recent play of several different players as well. Alex previews a tape study that he is working on when it comes to Steelers DT Keeanu Benton as well.
