The Object Of The Game is a new football documentary on Prime Video, featuring insights from some of the sport's most influential voices — including Bill Belichick, Tony Romo, Mike Tomlin, Urban Meyer, Sean McVay, Tony Dungy, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, and more. This three-part docuseries explores what football demands of those who play and coach it, why the game matters so deeply, and how its values are passed down — and last. At its heart, the film follows the final season and lasting legacy of legendary high school coach Chuck "Chico" Kyle. Over four decades as a football coach and English teacher at Cleveland's Saint Ignatius High School, Kyle shaped generations of players and left a profound mark on some of the most powerful figures in the game today. Lauren Tomlin is a PRAYER WARRIOR which is why I called her for this series, because I wanted a friend to sit down with me and really talk about how to pray. If you've ever wondered if God actually hears you when you pray or if you can trust what you hear from God when you pray, this conversation is for you. If you feel overwhelmed by all of the hard happening around us, we're going to talk about how to pray. If you've wondered how to discern what God's telling you, we're going there too. February 13, 2026 - Season 16, Episode 93 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers announcing their full coaching staff for the 2026 season on Thursday. We go over the few new names that are included in that list of staff members, and we also have conversations on the overall size of the staff and much more related to that Thursday announcement by the team. Several current and former Steelers have now chimed in on the comments made by Joey Porter Sr. about Mike Tomlin and Ben Roethlisberger during his recent interview on the Cameron Heyward podcast, so we go over the latest related to that topic. Former NFL QB Derek Carr has made it known that he is open to a comeback in 2026 should the right opportunity present itself so Alex and I address what all he had to say recently and whether the quarterback could be a plausible and possible fit with the Steelers. The NFL has reportedly now informed all 32 teams in a memo that it prevailed in its grievance vs. the NFLPA and its “team report cards" after an arbitrator determined that the NFLPA's conduct violated the CBA and ordered it to stop making public any future report cards. Alex and I both have opinions and reactions to that Friday breaking news. A judge ruled on Thursday in favor of Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss still having a year of college eligibility remaining due to a medical hardship a few years ago, so Alex and I react to that news during this show. On the heels of my first 2026 salary cap update for the Steelers being posted on Thursday, Alex and I discuss everything related to that topic. We also discuss potential March salary cap casualties related to the Steelers in addition to other ways the team might decide to create additional space should they deem that necessary during the offseason. Later in this show, Alex and I discuss the probability and plausibility related to offseason contract extensions being signed by CB Joey Porter Jr., K Chris Boswell, OLB Nick Herbig, DT Keeanu Benton, and TE Darnell Washington. We go over a few perceived market values for several of those players. This 129-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the above recap. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On the Thursday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, Post-Gazette Steelers insiders Christopher Carter and Brian Batko react to the podcast beef between former franchise Super Bowl champions Joey Porter, Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison. Is their back-and-forth over Mike Tomlin criticism too messy? Especially with the franchise moving on into new coach Mike McCarthy's tenure? Are Harrison and Roethlisberger valid in their critiques? Or at least in bounds? Or has the bad blood gotten too personal on both sides? And how does the whole episode that unfolded on Cam Heyward's show this week impact legacies? Our duo tackles those questions then ponders Aaron Rodgers' future amid a report from NFL insider Jason La Canfora that it's either the Steelers or retirement for him in 2026. Is that the logical outcome for the 42-year-old QB at this stage of his career? Or could he still find some magic with a team like the Minnesota Vikings, who have a well-respected play caller in Kevin O'Connell and a young QB in J.J. McCarthy who could be helped by Rodgers' mentorship? Should the Steelers want Rodgers back in their QB room, given his connection to new coach Mike McCarthy from their days with the Green Bay Packers? Or should Rodgers' spot go to a younger player next to Mason Rudolph and Will Howard? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. On the Wednesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Christopher Carter to discuss potential winners and losers in the transition between former coach Mike Tomlin's staff to new coach Mike McCarthy's. Could Pat Freiermuth finally see an elevated role at tight end, given McCarthy's success at the position elsewhere? Will he see more targets not only relative to fellow tight ends Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington but other receivers and backs as well? Will McCarthy find ways to use DK Metcalf more effectively? And could an interest in finding a viable No. 2 receiver like USC's Makai Lemon in the NFL draft potentially help in that pursuit? And could Jaylen Warren find better opportunities in the running game in McCarthy is able to open up the pass game more relative to former OC Arthur Smith? Our duo tackles those questions, then analyzes which names may lose prominence. Will Derrick Harmon still be seen as a key piece of the future and the heir to Cam Heyward's role along the defensive line? Or could a coaching change disrupt his development? Will Patrick Queen retain his role as the signal caller of the defense? Or could his contract price him out of that role under new DC Patrick Graham? With other linebackers like Payton Wilson and Cole Holcomb in the fold? And what is Jalen Ramsey's future in the secondary? Are the Steelers willing to pay him elite DB money for an uncertain role? Or could the new staff prefer to build around younger players like Joey Porter Jr. and invest Ramsey's big salary elsewhere? Our duo tackles those questions and more. On the Tuesday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel, host Noah Hiles welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo to ponder the team's decision at QB in 2025. Did GM Omar Khan and coach Mike Tomlin make the wrong call in pursuing Aaron Rodgers over Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl winner Sam Darnold? Could Darnold have replicated his championship success with the Steelers, surrounded by big names like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward and Jalen Ramsey? Or was Rodgers still the right choice to get the most out of an offense that included names like DK Metcalf, Kenneth Gainwell, Jaylen Warren, Roman Wilson, Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth and Calvin Austin III? Our duo tackles those questions, then ponders the future of Drake Maye and the Super Bowl-losing Patriots in the AFC. Will they become a dominant force in the conference again? In this clip from the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bitner welcomes Post-Gazette Steelers insider Ray Fittipaldo to react to the Seattle Seahawks' victory in the Super Bowl. Did Sam Darnold show that GM Omar Khan and new coach Mike McCarthy can win big with free agent QBs? Could 2026 free agents like Daniel Jones, Zach Wilson, Malik Willis or Mitch Trubisky repeat Darnold's success? Or was he a unique option for Seattle last offseason? And how should Darnold's victory impact the view the Steelers should have of in-house options like Aaron Rodgers, Mason Rudolph and Will Howard? Our duo tackles those questions and more. Later, the guys react to the way Seattle won with elite defense and a strong running game. Can McCarthy and new coordinators Patrick Graham and Brian Angelichio mimic that success? Why haven't the Steelers been able to play great defense consistently under former coach Mike Tomlin with top talents like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward and Jalen Ramsey on the roster?
