Everyday people share their incredible stories of overcoming chronic illness with a low fat, whole food, plant-based diet and so much more
Episode 177 is here and this week I'm sharing Part 2 of my personal journey navigating grief for those touched by the deep sorrow of caring for, or losing a loved one. This episode is really my own realisations and tools that have been helpful to me throughout my journey with my brothers illness and death and now, my father's journey with Cancer. My hope is that opening a dialogue around grief will help to bring the hidden out into the open, to raise awareness, to offer support and tools and perhaps to cushion some of the desolate loneliness and isolation that we feel when we lose someone we love. If all else fails, I'm here if you need me. xx Corinne
Episode 176 is here and this week I'm solo on the show talking about grief. I know it sounds like a downer, but grief is an unavoidable emotion that every human will face at some point in their lifetime and one that I am navigating in this moment. I believe wholeheartedly that for humanity to achieve peace, we need more open discussion, more education, more awareness and less avoidance of the more challenging emotions such as grief. In this Part 1 of this short mini series on Grief, I am talking about the resources I wish I knew of back when my brother passed away.

Episode 173 Last year during lockdown I was formerly diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 40. So what do you do when Life Gives You Lemons (ADHD)?? You record an hour long podcast episode about it! Well, maybe that's just me… Regardless, whether you or someone you know has ADHD, my hope is that in sharing my story, some of the shame, stigma and misinformation surrounding ADHD will be removed. In this episode I share my journey with ADHD along with some myth busting, tips, tools, resources, and more, although the list of resources and tools, etc… is by no means exhausted. I'm not a lover of labels however, ADHD does come with a cluster of challenges for individuals, but it's by no means a full stop on a persons potential, in fact, I see it as a newly opened window that finally lets some light in. I hope at some stage you can see it that way too. x Corinne

Hello there! Episode 151 is here and this week Aaron Calder is on the show sharing his very moving journey with Alcoholism and alcohol induced Liver Cirrhosis and Fatty Liver Disease. This is a story that may trigger many listening as none of us like to imagine that we could ever behave in ways that go against our beliefs of who we are, our beliefs that we are each either ‘good' people or ‘bad' people. The truth is, it's far more nuanced than merely ‘good' vs ‘evil' and when push comes to shove, any one of us can find ourselves doing and saying things that are out of alignment with our core values and beliefs. What we need more of right now is forgiveness, compassion and understanding, especially in light of the challenging times we are in around the globe at present. Many of our friends and family are struggling and mot of us have few strategies to help us through just regular difficult times, let alone a global pandemic! So let's offer ourselves some grace, some humility, some kindness and let's allow more than just ‘good' feelings and ‘positive' vibes because it's an unrealistic expectation at the best of times and right now, it's an impossible expectation that sets us up to fail. You can be both deeply grateful and utterly terrified and hopeless at the moment and that can still be ok. Allow yourself to feel it all. Access support when you need to (check out the show notes for more info by clicking on this link). Most of all, take care of yourself. xx

Episode 147 TRIGGER WARNING This week we delve into Shame and all the ways that shame can impact our everyday lives and what we can do about to help ourselves build our shame resilience. There is a lot to discuss when focusing on shame and much of it requires a trigger warning re trauma, sexual abuse, racism, homophobia and any of the other reasons and experiences that illicit feelings of shame within us. It's a difficult subject but one I truly believe is key for uncovering the deeper emotions that are contributing not only to our addictive behaviours but to much of the anger and hostility we are seeing in the world at present. I hope this episode helps crack open the taboo surrounding shame and begins your journey towards shame resilience. Thanks for listening. Corinne xx
