Founder of Creative Directions, the Vajra Flame Foundation, the Rocky Mountain Esoteric School, Madison Street Counseling Center, Women's Mysteries Tours, and the Rocky Mountain Enneagram Center, for 35 years she has led seminars, retreats and pilgrimages throughout the world and has an international following. In 1983 Kathlyn formed a life-long partnership with Ascended Master Djwhal Khul to bring forth His third dispensation of Wisdom Teachings. Together they have created an extensive collection of lectures, meditations, chants, and books on vitally important topics for spiritual development and planetary service. On today's episode, we welcome Kathlyn Kingdon, a seasoned channeler who has worked closely with the Ascended Master Djwhal Khul (Master DK) for over 40 years. With a background in law firm administration, Kathlyn's journey took a profound turn when she embraced her role as a spiritual channel, bridging divine wisdom with human understanding.Kathlyn recounts how her connection with Master DK began during a tumultuous period in her life. Seeking clarity through another channel, she encountered the Ascended Master who later became her guiding presence. “I heard him all the time after that session,” she recalls. Her initiation into channeling was as unexpected as it was transformative, pushing her into a path she initially found intimidating but ultimately fulfilling.Master DK, often referred to as "The Tibetan," is best known for his teachings through Alice Bailey. However, as Kathlyn explains, his current mission focuses on addressing the emotional body, an area she believes humanity has collectively bypassed. “We haven't truly learned to use our emotions well,” she shares.Through her work, Master DK aims to help individuals integrate their emotional experiences, healing past traumas, and cultivating balance. The conversation delves into the nature of Ascended Masters and their role in human evolution. Kathlyn describes them as divine guides who bridge the spiritual and physical realms, offering profound insights to expand human consciousness. As Master DK once told her, “It's not just about what we learn; it's about how we transform.” Their teachings emphasize interconnectedness and the collective journey toward spiritual awakening.Kathlyn highlights the importance of navigating humanity's current challenges, such as technological advancements and societal upheavals. She believes we're at a pivotal moment in history, transitioning from the Piscean Age, which emphasized individuality and hierarchy, to the Aquarian Age, marked by collective empowerment and unity. This shift, though turbulent, offers an opportunity for humanity to redefine itself.SPIRITUAL TAKEAWAYSThe Emotional Body Matters: Healing our emotions is vital for spiritual growth and integration.Conscious Collective Shifts: Humanity is moving toward unity and shared empowerment.Stay Awake and Engaged: Facing challenges with intention and awareness leads to growth. In this illuminating dialogue, Kathlyn's reflections remind us of the vastness of human potential when we align with higher consciousness. Her journey, guided by Master DK, offers hope and clarity for navigating these transformative times. Please enjoy my conversation with Kathlyn Kingdon.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/next-level-soul-podcast-with-alex-ferrari--4858435/support.

For a transgender man or nonbinary people whose sex assigned at birth was female, gynecologic care can be a difficult experience. Many avoid healthcare visits out of fear of being misgendered or insurance denials. Additionally, pelvic exams can trigger their dysphoria. Because many transgender men still have a cervix and uterus, care provided by a gynecologist is important for overall health.

Each month, our Carrier Connections program features a different X-linked condition with the goal to increase awareness and education of X-linked conditions and how they impact females. This month, we are featuring Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease. Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD) is a rare X-linked condition affecting the brain and spinal cord caused by mutations on the PLP1 gene. It is a type of leukodystrophy, which means it involves abnormal development of white matter in the brain. Since PMD is an X-linked disease, carriers have a 50% chance of passing the condition onto their children. Additionally, some carriers may experience neurological symptoms, particularly if they have a nonsense or null mutation. Today, we are bringing on Angi Dunham to share her story with PMD. Angi Dunham is a wife to Brandon, mom to Kathlyn and Brant, bonus mom to Kailey and Kendall, daughter, sister and business owner. Married for 13 years this coming July, the family welcomed their first child together, their daughter Kathlyn 2 days before their 1 year anniversary and decided to grow by one more 8 years later with Brant and when he was 13 months was diagnosed with Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease. THE RETURN OF TANYA TUCKER follows Brandie Carlile and trailblazing, hell-raising country music legend Tanya Tucker, a woman who defied the standards of how a woman in country music was supposed to behave. Decades after Tanya slipped from the spotlight, rising Americana music star Brandi Carlile takes it upon herself to write an entire album for her hero based on Tanya's extraordinary life, spurring the greatest comeback in country music history. THE RETURN OF TANYA TUCKER follows Tanya's richly creative, utterly captivating, bumpy ride back to the top as Brandi encourages her to push past her fears to create a new sound and reach a new audience. The writing, the experimenting, and refining of this new music mixes with all that came before – using rare archival footage and photographs to delve into Tanya's history, beginning in a single wide trailer in Seminole, Texas. Meet Gay Hendricks   Gay Hendricks has been a leader in the fields of relationship transformation and body-mind transformation for more than 45 years. After earning his Ph.D. from Stanford in 1974, Gay served as a Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado for 21 years. He has written over 40 books, including bestsellers such as Five Wishes, The Big Leap, Conscious Loving, and Conscious Loving Ever After, (the last two co-authored with his co-author and mate for more than 35 years, Dr. Kathlyn Hendricks). He is also a mystery novelist, with a series of five books featuring the Tibetan-Buddhist private detective, Tenzing Norbu, as well as a new mystery series featuring a Victorian-era London detective, Sir Errol Hyde. His book Conscious Luck reveals eight ways to change your fortune through the power of intention. Gay has appeared on more than 500 radio and television shows, including Oprah, CNN, CNBC, 48 HOURS, and others. His latest book is The Genius Zone.   Gay Hendricks has been a mentor from afar for years, and it was such a joy to interview him and share his incredible wisdom, stories, and magic. Get your earbuds, get out there on your walk or drive, and get ready to be wildly inspired. There were so many nuggets of wisdom and deep, honest sharing. I got you covered here with notes.      Adding Magic To Your Life Gay Hendricks grew up with his grandparents and mother, as his father tragically died before he was born. He grew up with a lot of anger and frustration that got pushed down with food, sweets, and smoking. Gay shared that the Universe is always teaching you a lesson; it's just whether you're listening or not. He got tapped on the shoulder by the Universe when he was 24 years old in 1969. Gay was living in NH in an apartment, in a relationship and life he didn't like, and was carrying a good 150+ extra pounds. He fell on the ice and had a two-minute experience that changed his life. For the first time in his life, he could see all the levels of himself --- all the emotional layers that he hadn't felt, like anger, sadness, and eventually, in the middle was pure consciousness. He decided that day and committed to a new way of doing life. He made a declaration to himself and the Universe and committed to feeling this state of pure consciousness all the time, but without needing to fall down. He chose foods that fed pure consciousness (like blueberries instead of cheeseburgers, donuts, and blueberry pancakes) and committed to honoring his mind and body. Later that next day, he was invited to another event that also would change the course of his life. His friend took him to an event with a former Harvard professor who had gone to India and come back enlightened. He got to meet and hear Ram Dass in person and was turned on to meditation. This was just the beginning of the magic that has been a blessing in his life (like finding his wife Kathlyn) since he committed to being honest, taking responsibility, and honoring his creativity.      Living in the Genius Zone Here's one of my favorites from Gay Hendricks in our conversation --- he said that 'Genius is contagious'. We are all meant to live in the genius zone. This is the zone where you are doing what you love without a sense of time lapsing while honoring your unique abilities. Gay Hendricks shared that within 20 years, he went from spending 10% of his time in the genius zone to 100% of his time in this zone, and because of this shift. And now, life feels like one continued blessing and gift. I realized that in this conversation, being your You-est You inherently means aligning and living in the genius zone. Some ways to discover your genius zone is to ask yourself what you love to do, where you lose a sense of time doing what you love, and what your specialized and unique abilities are. For example, thanks to Gay, I realized my genius zone is doing my podcast -- both in interviewing guests, sharing my thoughts, and creating a show that changes lives. I'd love to hear what you think your genius zone is! We all have them! Share in the You-est You Facebook community, or send me an email.      The Upper Limit Problem Gay Hendricks goes into great depth about a ULP, the Upper Limit Problem. In sum, this is when you sabotage yourself when things go well. Gay teaches how to expand your capacity and override this pattern so that you learn how to experience greater lengths of joy and good. One of the ways to do this is to use what he calls the Ultra Success Mantra (USM), which I have on my desk and say daily. The USM is: "I expend in abundance, success, and love as I inspire others around me to do the same." What's important is that you are not only expanding the good within you but also creating opportunities to do the same for others.      Change Your Relationship to Time If you're like me and you're sick and tired of being sick and tired that there's not enough time, ever, then listen up. Gay Hendricks talked about what he calls Einstein time versus Newtonian time. In Einstein time, you are the cause of your time. Think of it this way, if you sat on a hot stove, a minute would feel like an hour, but if you were hanging with your beloved, an hour would feel like a minute. We are more in charge of our time than we realize. Here's the best way to change this bad habit of making time your enemy and yourself a victim (which never works out well). Stop talking about time as a victim, and stop blaming time for things you can't do. You'll never have enough time to do the things you don't want to do. Take responsibility for yourself and your time, and commit to being conscious and mindful of what you say. And, stop making time the culprit and realize you are the cause of your time, your relationships, and your life.  Final Thoughts Gay Hendricks shares not only the importance of living in the genius zone so you can fully be present and live a life you fully enjoy but how to slow down time to truly savor it. It is easier to make lifestyle changes if you live in a healthy environment. It isn't too difficult to make better choices if you have organic grocery stores near you or a local trail to take a walk on. Therefore, it is critical for all of us to advocate for accessible and local services that will make the community happier and healthier. To learn more about how to enact change in our neighborhoods, I talk to one of my close friends and data analyst, Mariel Geron, about how she uses data to help communities and the steps people can take to make the right food and exercise choices for them. Then, I chat with Scott Kashman, Market President with Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health, about how he creates successful wellness programs. Last, I speak with Scott's former colleague, Cheryl Schlichte, Project Manager at Healthy Lee, about her job and initiatives that have proven successful in her community in Florida. And if you're not quite there yet, if you're not quite ready to figure out oh, like what gluten free products are healthy, or you know what dairy alternatives are healthy, because sometimes they're just as you know, detrimental? I think another first step you can take is just thinking about how was your food grown? And where did it come from, and what ingredients could be on or in it. And so that would be maybe just starting to cut down on those processed foods and starting to integrate more whole foods, more fruits, vegetables, gluten free whole grains, lean proteins that are you know, not saturated fat seafood with full of omega three fatty acids. In our society, we are so used to going to the doctor when we experience pain or discomfort and getting treated for that specific symptom. Acupuncture and muscle testing are two healing modalities that work to discover and treat the root cause of illnesses instead of symptoms.
