Halfway through the year can feel brutal if your clinic bookings aren't matching the goals you set back in January. I'm recording this Practitioner Pulse ahead of time while I'm away celebrating my 50th, and I wanted to give you something practical and grounding: a mid-year reset that helps you finish the year strong, even if the first half has felt slow, messy, or unexpectedly quiet. We talk about what I'm hearing across the market from practitioners, including a softer June and clients who are more deliberate right now. With Australian cost-of-living pressure, RBA rate rise uncertainty, and people watching budgets, decision-making can slow down. That isn't a reflection of your value or your skills. The real risk is what happens next: comparisonitis, niche jumping, copying someone else's offer, or disappearing because you feel wobbly. Six months is enough time to change the trajectory of your whole year, but only if you stop chasing shiny objects and get focused.I break down the “visibility gap” and why consistency matters more than ever across email, Google, and social platforms. Social media is a billboard, not your entire business, so we focus on foundational content that builds trust and makes it easy for the right clients to choose you. In a world of AI answers and content overload, trust is your edge, and it grows when you stay in touch, show up on video if you can, and keep your message clear. To wrap up, I guide you through building a simple plan from revenue backwards: what you want to earn, the consult numbers you need, and a marketing plan that prioritises email, SEO-friendly blogs, and smart repurposing into podcast and YouTube. Subscribe so you don't miss the upcoming live Practitioner Pulse sessions, and if this helps, share it with a practitioner friend and leave a review.Let's Chat - Send an instant message now FREE RESOURCES TO BOOST YOUR PRACTICEAligned Clients in Abundance - FREE GUIDEVisit the website www.cassduffill.com
Millions of people are turning to conversational AI systems like ChatGPT and Claude to ask questions about symptoms, medications, supplements, nutrition, lab work, and treatment options. This has raised concerns, as research found that using AI for medical decisions tended to provide inaccurate and inconsistent information. In this episode of The Healers Cafe, Manon speaks with Maggie Kelly, a spiritual counselor and shamanic energy medicine healer, discussing her transformative journey, sparked by her youngest child's cystic fibrosis diagnosis at age 30. Initially coping with stress through drinking, she turned to meditation, which led her to become a Chopra Center meditation teacher and open Satsang House. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/maggie-kelly Highlights from today's episode include: Maggie explains addiction is about pain, not the substance – the real issue isn't alcohol, shopping, or porn, but the unhealed pain underneath. Maggie speaks about spiritual bypassing – even meditation and spirituality can become another way to avoid feeling and processing trauma. Manon explains Limited bandwidth & dropping blame – as parents we have only so much capacity; the real growth comes when adult children move from blaming to learning from their experience. ABOUT MAGGIE KELLY: We never grow unless or until we are challenged. Most come to Satsang House in the midst of one of life's challenges or while at a turning point in their lives. Intuitively, I believe they already know they are ready for change or some sort of an upgrade to their current circumstances and life. I have created Satsang House Meditation and Spiritual Center around my own healing journey. Over the past three decades, I've spent time studying under meditation experts, Eckhart Tolle, Alberto Villoldo and the Inkan Shamans of the Andes. Most recently I've been immersing myself with the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza which has become the perfect compliment to the way I teach and practice meditation as well as to the energy healing side of my work. I have been extremely blessed to marry my personal experiences into my life's work at Satsang House as a Meditation Teacher, Energy Healer, Spiritual Counselor and Life Coach. Core purpose/passion: My mission is to help people all over the world cultivate emotional well-being, increase their capacity to love and care for others, and participate in the creation of a more interconnected and compassionate world. Are you exhausted all day but wide awake the moment your head hits the pillow? You're not alone and it's not "just stress." In this episode, I break down 3 warning signs of adrenal imbalance that most women overlook, including why you wake up tired even after a full night's sleep, the "wired but tired" cycle that keeps your brain running at midnight, and why your energy crashes every afternoon like clockwork. If any of this sounds familiar, your body may be sending signals worth paying attention to. Listen to find out what they mean and what to do next.
In this episode of The Healers Cafe, Manon speaks with Dr. Alan Weisser, a JD, attorney, clinical psychologist, and program developer, discussed his unique journey integrating legal, psychological, and organizational expertise to address complex mental health conditions and chronic pain. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/dr-alan-weisser Highlights from today's episode include: Existential Immune System & Human Power – We're not designed to be powerless or just suffer; we have an "existential immune system" that's always trying to heal us if we use our thoughts and feelings correctly. Living in Inspiration – Healing doesn't mean no pain, but having purpose and inspiration (like his patient rediscovering a love of robotics) gives people a real "fighting chance" to live meaningfully despite pain. The Body Is Built to Heal – The body (and person) is inherently designed to heal; the key is to stop fighting that capacity and instead support it—physically, emotionally, and energetically ABOUT DR ALAN WEISSER: Dr. Alan Stephen Weisser, JD, PhD, is a psychologist, attorney, and program developer whose career spans more than five decades across law, behavioral health, and system-level clinical leadership. His work reflects a rare integration of legal, psychological, and organizational expertise, with a sustained focus on complex mental health conditions, chronic pain, and the development of effective, patient-centered systems of care. Dr. Weisser began his professional career in law, practicing as a trial attorney and later in private practice, specializing in real estate, business development and creation, and organizational structuring in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. His early legal work included service with the Legal Aid Society in New York, where he handled civil, consumer, and poverty law cases, as well as legal defense for underserved populations. This foundation shaped his lifelong understanding of systemic barriers, advocacy, and the structural dimensions of human suffering. Transitioning into psychology, Dr. Weisser trained and practiced in some of New York's most demanding clinical environments, including Bellevue Hospital, Maimonides Medical Center, and the Einstein/Bronx Psychiatric Center. There, he developed extensive expertise in psychological assessment, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and psychiatric rehabilitation. He played a key role in the transformation of long-term inpatient psychiatric care into community-oriented rehabilitation systems, designing programs that integrated inpatient, transitional, and outpatient services with a focus on autonomy, functional recovery, and reduced recidivism. Over the course of the 1990s and early 2000s, Dr. Weisser held multiple senior leadership roles, including Program Director, Clinical Team Leader, and ultimately Clinical Director positions within community mental health systems in Washington State. In these roles, he was responsible for large-scale clinical operations, program development, quality assurance, contract compliance, and supervision of multidisciplinary staff. His work involved the design and implementation of integrated service delivery systems, coordination across agencies and stakeholders, and the advancement of innovative approaches to behavioral health care. Since 2002, Dr. Weisser has been the Founder and Director of New Options, Inc., in Seattle, Washington, where he provides individual, group, family, and couples therapy, as well as specialized chronic pain evaluations and treatment coordination. His work emphasizes integrating psychological, behavioral, and physical health perspectives, particularly in the treatment of chronic pain and medically complex conditions. He has developed psychoeducational programs, clinical interventions, and training materials designed to empower patients and improve treatment outcomes. Dr. Weisser is also the author of New Possibilities: Unraveling the Mystery and Mastering Chronic Pain and the developer of the Mastery of Chronic Pain program, a structured, curriculum-based approach to helping individuals regain control over their lives. His work combines clinical rigor with practical application, translating complex psychological and medical concepts into accessible tools for both patients and practitioners. In addition to his clinical and programmatic work, Dr. Weisser has served as an instructor at the university level, teaching in psychology and public administration. His career reflects a consistent commitment to education, system improvement, and the integration of theory and practice. Across all phases of his work—from law to psychology to organizational leadership—Dr. Alan Stephen Weisser has focused on one central aim: developing meaningful, effective pathways for individuals and systems to move beyond limitation toward recovery, functionality, and sustained well-being. Core purpose/passion: My mission in life has been to pursue curiosity, understanding, and deep engagement with what it means to be alive and human. At the center of that journey is a desire to help others. Every Week How many times this week did you build a treatment plan from a completely blank page? I'm going to call it what it is: a tax. The hidden tax of starting from scratch, not just with new clients, but the third, fourth, fifth consult too. And honestly, it is quietly exhausting, isn't it. This week we are getting into:Why that scramble happens, why we resist the very thing that would fix it, and what to do about it. The real reason your consults feel heavier than they should Why "every client is different" is actually keeping you stuck Where to start so you can walk into your next consult feeling prepared, not scrambling _________________Strategy Lab members, your continuation of this episode is waiting for you inside Podia along with the June mentoring workbook. By the time you work through it you will have your four clinical templates built, your consults will stop starting from zero, and that pile up at the end of the week gets a whole lot smaller. Megan Gaul, a weight loss coach from Staten Island, discusses her journey and approach to helping women over 30 with 200 pounds or more achieve their weight loss goals. With a background in education, Megan emphasizes the behavioral aspects of weight loss, drawing from her own 100-pound weight loss in 2018. She highlights common mental barriers like unstructured weekends and the "it shouldn't be hard" mindset. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/magan-gaul Highlights from today's episode include: Megan states weekends with no structure often derail weekday progress. Megan explains that long-term weight loss is won or lost in the mind, not the diet. Manon talks about Naturopathic doctors aren't automatically coaches—and patients often expect both. ABOUT MEGAN GAUL: Megan is a weight loss coach from Staten Island. Her mission is to support women age 30 and up, 200 lbs and up, achieve their weight-loss goals without shrinking their lives. She came to this mission through her own 100-lb weight loss in 2018, where she discovered food freedom, healthier emotional boundaries, self-trust, and a richer life. She's now in her 5th year of business, and she and her clients focus on small habit-change, self-compassion, and authenticity. Core purpose/passion: I'm most passionate about helping women live more in-tune with what they want. So many of us live in fear for a huge percentage of our adult lives. We get stuck in people-pleasing, anxiety, and making choices only to get away from what we dislike. I want more women to feel awesome about making choices to go TOWARDS what they desire. When Megan Roark first learned to row at 12 years old, she couldn't have known the sport would one day shape not only her athletic identity, but her approach to medicine. Years later, through her training and practice as a naturopathic doctor, Megan has come to appreciate rowing not just for its physical demands, but for its meditative qualities, too. But rowers are famously stubborn: pushing through pain, skipping recovery work, showing up to early practices under-fueled and dehydrated. In this episode, Megan shares a holistic approach to caring for the athlete as a whole for long-term health and performance. We talk about habits for deeper sleep, nutrition and hydration, building a strong “therapeutic alliance” with your doctor, and yes — even why showering matters more than we realize. On today's Good Day Health Show - ON DEMAND…Dr. Jack Stockwell, a NUCCA Chiropractor and GAPS Practitioner in SLC, UT (866.867.5070 | ForbiddenDoctor.com | JackStockwell.com), shares a holistic perspective on health news today. Dr. Jack starts with an announcement the U.S. military will no longer require American troops to get the flu vaccine, based on medical autonomy and religious freedom. The annual flu shot has been required for all U.S. military personnel since the 1950s. The decision has sparked debate with public health organizations, like the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases arguing that high vaccination coverage remains critical for military readiness, particularly in close-quarters living and working environments. Some retired military officials have also criticized the shift, pointing to the historical threat influenza poses to troop readiness.Moving on to the hantavirus, which is responsible for the deaths of three people on a cruise ship, Dr. Jack compares similarities with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and equates the deaths from Covid were mainly patients already dealing with comorbidities, making them more susceptible than anyone who was healthy. The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified the global risk to the general public from the recent hantavirus outbreak as low. They explicitly state this outbreak is not the next COVID-19, as hantavirus spreads differently and is not highly contagious.Doug and Dr. Jack join forces to address the battle of finding proper supplements, and one they agree is a great made-from-whole-foods option is from Standard Process. Their Diaplex and Zypan vitamins/supplements that trigger better digestive support and response while also helping to balance the sugar control in the system. Standard Process supplements are highly regarded for their "seed-to-supplement" approach, which focuses on whole-food nutrition rather than synthetic isolates. By controlling everything from the soil to the final pill, the brand aims to deliver nutrients in the complex, natural state that the body recognizes and absorbs best. All this and more in this episode of Good Day Health. It's really the only new product I've been taking and after 6 years at the same Armour Thyroid dose of 60mg, my thyroid is overactive and my Naturopath has reduced my dose to 30mg. I'm getting levels retested Monday, so I'm curious to see what's going on. I was diagnosed with hashimotos in my early 20s but didn't need thryoid meds until 33 years old (now 43). Just seems interesting that after so long at the same dose, my thyroid is now functioning better. I'm grateful, just curious. Thanks again! Denise: If toxins can be stored in fat cells and GLP 1's cause rapid weight loss, what happens to the toxins? Are they released from the body with the fat or are they let loose in the body to find a new place to hide? Does taking a GLP 1 help with stored toxins or cause more harm? And how do GLP 1's affect oxidative stress. Help or harm? Tricia: Hi Dr. Cabral - Hope you are having a great day! Quick question on your sleep supplements. I'm 56 and thought I would start taking Melatonin. My sleep is not horrible but not as good as when I was younger. I noticed your Sleep Support supplement has Melatonin in it already. When would I use this supplement over Melatonin alone? I don't take Adrenal Soothe because I take Metavolve pm which I thought that might be double dosing of some Mohamed: Hello Dr.Cabral, really enjoy your videos. The information you provide and your experience is invaluable. Thanks for all that you do for the entire community. My question is 2 part. Firstly regarding L-lysine and HSV/cold sores. I watched your older podcast on the topic.. but is there a recommended daily dose for Lysine? Second question is regarding Mouth-taping. How can I prep to clear my sinuses. A bit nervous. Would sinus support Equilife product help? Larissa: Hello Dr Cabral, Thank you for all that you do and your wonderful advice! I have yet another question about cholesterol. I feel very conflicted about LDL cholesterol after reading a 2024 study regarding the lipid energy model. It suggested that high LDL levels in "Lean Mass Hyper-Responders" aka people on low carb diets may have different implications. I went low carb for 2 weeks and my LDL level increased from 140 to 187. My HDL levels remained high and triglycerides low but my Apo B levels increased as well. This is while being on omega 3, red yeast rice, and berberine. I want to be on Natokinase but was told I cannot while on hormones replacement therapy. Can you help me understand how LDL works? Can I use Natokinase while on HRT safely? Thanks so much! Naturopath and homeopath Nadja Röthlisberger joins the podcast to empower parents with safe, effective home remedies for common childhood symptoms — while also helping them recognize when it's time to seek medical care. Based in Switzerland, Nadja has been running her practice for over 16 years, supporting families with holistic pediatric care. With a background in naturopathy and homeopathy, along with years of teaching pediatric health courses, she is passionate about helping parents feel confident caring for their children naturally. In this episode, Nadja shares practical tools for managing everyday childhood concerns at home, the importance of integrating natural and conventional care, and how to identify red flags that require professional attention. Key Takeaways: Safe and effective home remedies for common childhood symptoms How to confidently support your child's health at home When to seek medical care vs. manage naturally The role of integrative, holistic pediatric care Book Mentioned: By Sefora Cuoco, La Brújula de la Intuición: Descubre tus habilidades clarividentes y fortalece tu intuición. (Spanish Edition) About Nadja: Nadja Röthlisberger is a naturopath and homeopath from Switzerland. She lives with her husband and their two children — both now teenagers — on a farm and has been running her practice in the same village for the past 16 years. The village has about 4,000 inhabitants, which is considered relatively small by Swiss standards. Before studying naturopathy for six years and homeopathy for another two years, she completed an apprenticeship at a bank. She then worked in youth marketing and later in project management and marketing for an international medical technology company. There, she was part of a multicultural team where the company language was English. After ten years of teaching pediatric health courses—both online and offline—Nadja wrote a book that has sold more than 3,000 copies through self-publishing. Although she loves her profession, she sometimes misses the multilingual and intercultural environment. For this reason — and perhaps also because she is a little bit crazy—she decided to have part of her book on children's health translated into English. Nadja also hosts a podcast in Swiss German, writes regular blog articles, works as a lecturer, and runs a busy practice. Hi, Jenn, and welcome to The Awaken Your wise woman podcast. Thank you for having me. So nice to have you on board here, for the listeners who don't know who you are, could you share a little bit about yourself and the work that you do?“What I would say to deep, profound feelers, is that we are capable of doing hard and impossible things, and we are capable of sitting with hard and impossible feelings.” — Jenn RapkinEmotions are called feelings for a reason. Frequent deep or strong emotions can seem overwhelming. When they do, our first reaction is often to turn to our mind, to try to think our way out of those uncomfortable feelings. In doing so, we may be overlooking a powerful tool that can help us ride the waves of strong emotions: our bodies. In this episode of Awaken Your Wise Woman, host Elizabeth “Biz” Cush, LCPC, a licensed professional therapist, founder of Progression Counseling in Maryland and Delaware, and soul support for highly sensitive women, welcomes Dr. Jenn Rapkin, ND, author of The Feeling Muscle, for a discussion of frequent feelers, high sensitivity, big emotions and our bodies. They talk about how body work can complement the other work we are doing and what physical practices and sensations can teach us. Stuart Tomc, a globally recognized leader in Omega 3 science, discussed his journey in the nutrition industry, emphasizing the shift from guess-based supplementation to test-based precision nutrition. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between Omega 6 and Omega 3, ideally a 1:1 ratio, for optimal health. Tomc introduced Zinzino's Omega 3 blood spot test, which has tested 1.7 million people globally, revealing significant imbalances. He explained Zinzino's Balance Oil, which includes polyphenols for stability and efficacy, For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/stuart-tomc Highlights from today's episode include: Stuart says Test, don't guess: Omega‑6:3 balance in red blood cells is the key inflammatory "vital sign" – you can take fish oil and still be completely out of the safe zone. Stuart explains fish oil ≠ fish: Most refined fish oils are "naked," stripped of protective polyphenols, so they don't behave like real food; Balance Oil restores that missing polyphenol protection. Manon states health sovereignty: People should be the CEOs of their own health—using at‑home tests to know their status and keeping (or firing) practitioners based on results. ABOUT STUART TOMC: Stuart Tomc is a globally recognized leader in omega-3 science with 30+ years in the nutrition industry and over $1 billion in supplement sales influenced worldwide. He has appeared in 6,000+ media interviews and served as Global Educator for Nordic Naturals, training teams at Whole Foods Market, Sprouts Farmers Market, The Vitamin Shoppe, and GNC, as well as independent retailers and healthcare professionals around the world. Today, Stuart is helping lead the shift from guess-based supplementation to test-based precision nutrition. Start testing. Stop guessing. We measure the AA/EPA ratio, Omega-3 Index, Gut Health Index, Vitamin D, and HbA1c — with more AI-driven tests on the way. In this episode of The Healers Cafe, Manon speaks with Benny Voncken, a stoic coach and co-founder of VIA Stoica, discusses his journey and philosophy of life based on stoicism. The true goal of Stoicism is eudaimonia (a good, balanced inner state) through virtue—wisdom, justice, temperance, and courage—not emotional suppression.
