Today's episode is one I have wanted to record for a long time coming. I have been sharing my own health journey for many years, highlighting the lows that have come with going off the pill, the highs I have felt since reintroducing meat back into my diet and more. This journey isn't one I have been on alone, and one person who has helped so much is my naturopath. Victoria from Sana Wellness has played such a key role in understanding my own health, getting more in tune with my cycle and has helped me out of feeling lost with a missing cycle to actually feeling empowered to know I am in control of my own health. Victoria's mission is to empower women to stop ignoring the signs your body is giving you. Together on todays episode we aim to inspire you to debunk the myth that experiencing symptoms is "normal" or "just part of being a woman. I am really excited to share all of Victoria's amazing knowledge on this weeks episode. She is also heavily pregnant right now, so I feel very lucky she could make it to the studio today.

Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: John: Hey doc. I've been doing the heavy metal detox once a year for about 5 years now. Should I keep taking other supplements while I'm on the detox. I take men's hair support, balanced zinc , magnesium and dns . Just wanted to know if the detox cancels out the other stuff . Thanks Tanya: What causes Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase to be high? My number has been considered "high" for my last three readings.I cannot find any information regarding higher levels, but a lot on lower levels. Thank you Anonymous: Hi Dr. Cabral! I've used things like ACV and homemade fire cider in the past for various reasons, but stopped because I would instantly develop mucus in the back of my throat. Seemed like maybe I was adding stress to my body rather than the intended healing properties I was looking for in these remedies. Is this a histamine issue? I know I'm sensitive to high histamine foods and alcohol and will instantly flush red and feel overheated especially face, neck, and all my joints. I tend to avoid these things. Should I stay away from things like ACV and fire cider while I'm sorting out my histamine issue? Thanks! Anonymous: Hi Dr Cabral, thank you for all you do! Im currently studying to become an IHP and have learnt so much!I have a couple questions, firstly, I live in Australia & just wondering if at the end of becoming an IHP do you recommend to go onto study naturopathy as I have an interest in that or do you think IHP alone is enough? Secondly, I am 29 and I have always struggled with a really heavy period. It has gotten heavier & I get a lot of clotting. I had test done awhile back with Naturopath and come back a little lower in progesterone, but all my other hormones were perfect. I get sore breast, hold water weight and am irritable after ovulation. I used to experience PMDD. I have done the 21 day detox & am currently doing the CBO protocol as I also have quite severe Leaky gut. Thank you John: Hey doc. If I buy the red light cap that you recommend should I still take your men's hair support . This week I discussed how sucralose, the artificial sweetener, has been studied to INCREASE hunger even though it is basically non-caloric. It fools the brain into thinking it’s going to get calories so sets up hormones to receive food. Better to use other alternative sweeteners, or small amounts of sugar! We then discussed how poor sleep […]
Do you cringe when someone asks what you charge?Still thinking you need to “earn” the right to raise your prices?Let's stop that right now.In this episode, I'm laying it all out: why I charge what I do, how I got confident doing it, and why you absolutely must do the same—if you want a practice that thrives without burnout.I know pricing can feel awkward, even emotional. But it doesn't have to be. I'll show you how I stopped undercharging, ditched the guilt, and built a business that supports me as much as I support my clients.Feeling a bit stuck on how to apply all this?
There has been an explosion of interest in recent years in the gut microbiome, but in contrast, the vaginal microbiome is largely undiscussed. Understanding this delicate habitat is never more essential than during perimenopause and menopause, when the microbiome can undergo significant changes, leading to a range of health conditions. To help us learn more about how we can support our vaginal flora through this transition and optimise our vaginal health, we are joined by Dr Moira Bradfield Strydom (PhD), the founder of Intimate Ecology clinical and education services. A Naturopath, educator and researcher with over 20 years clinical experience, she has a passion for helping people experience optimal health in sustainable and sensible ways. Clinically, she has a niche interest in recurrent vaginal infections, optimal vaginal and genitourinary health, hormones and the genitourinary microbiomes. Moira completed a PhD through Griffith University which focused on the vaginal microbiome and recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. She also holds a Bachelor of Naturopathy and a Masters degree in Acupuncture. In addition to her role as a Naturopath, Moira has lectured extensively at a tertiary level and in the area of holistic genitourinary health, educating her fellow practitioners to offer support in an often-overlooked area. This week, I talked a little about how important it is to drink water, especially with electrolytes if you’re feeling even a LITTLE off. Of course, if that doesn’t work, and you can’t figure out what’s going on, it’s time to access medical professionals! But electrolytes should be as natural as possible, and no artificial […]

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, FCAH, RBHT (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) speaks to Dr. Howard Walsdorf about how the four classical elements—fire, air, water, and earth—form the foundation of Western health and healing, and how integrating this ancient wisdom can support natural living, posture, and overall well-being today. For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/dr-howard-walsdorf Highlights from today's episode include: Dr. Howard Walsdorf As little as we walk today, we put this soft stuff there to even insulate us even further from drawing that earth principle, as I call it, or forced energy that makes that earth element within us, our bones and our sturdiness quotient, less effective. Dr. Howard Walsdorf But let me say this is that the fascia is a connective tissue, and so from a muscular skeletal system, way of perspective is water, is your ligaments and your connective tissue. From another perspective, in this holistic schematics, these patterns, these principles, keep finding places to show up. Manon Bolliger 22:56 so if you have the right posture, breathing is a non issue, right? We don't think about it anyways. But if you're in the right posture, it's, it's, I would say, even more automatic, but it goes deeper, right? ABOUT DR. HOWARD WALSDORF: Dr. Howard Walsdorf is a veteran holistic chiropractic and natural healer, author, speaker, and expert in the ancient wisdom of the four elements and natural living. His latest book, Fire, Air, Water & Earth: Apply an Ancient Wisdom to Your Life; aims to revitalize modern society by introducing a compelling new holistic paradigm for healthier living and healing, integrating the principles embodied by the four elements: fire, air, water and earth. As founder of The Four Element Institute and visionary behind the Growing Holistically community, Dr. W. is on a mission to inspire and educate people to think, live and heal in more natural ways. Core purpose/passion: My core purpose/mission is to bring an ancient knowldge back into our time – the Fire, Air, Water & Earth of nature. If you've ever wondered why your offer isn't converting — even though your service is great and the testimonials are solid — this episode is for you. In today's episode, I'm breaking down the real reason people buy: emotion. Not features. Not stats. But the power of a good story. You'll learn how storytelling works on the brain, how brands like Apple and Nike use it masterfully, and most importantly, how you can start mining your everyday moments to create content that connects and sells. Whether you're writing a sales page, crafting an email, or posting on social media, the right story can be the difference between someone scrolling past and someone saying, “YES — I need this.” What You'll Discover in the Episode: -> Why facts tell, but stories sell (and how that works in the brain) -> How even the smallest story (like brushing your dog's teeth!) can influence buying decisions -> What makes stories more trustworthy than testimonials or logos -> Where to find stories in your everyday life (even if you think you have “nothing to share”) -> How to share stories without oversharing -> The different types of stories to use at different points in the customer journey (socials, emails, sales pages) -> Why using other people's stories (case studies, client wins, etc.) is just as powerful as your own Mentioned in This Episode: HerBusiness Network https://her-business.lpages.co/request-an-invitation/?utm_source=Website&utm_medium=General&utm_campaign=membership-waitlist Power Stories by Valarie Khoo https://www.amazon.com.au/Power-Stories-Must-Build-Business-ebook/dp/B008RO96MO/ Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Dr. Robert Cialdini https://www.amazon.com.au/Influence-New-Expanded-Psychology-Persuasion/dp/0063138816 HerBusiness Podcast Ep. 291 – The Psychology of Marketing: How to Get More Clients Saying YES https://herbusiness.com/podcast/the-psychology-of-marketing-how-to-get-more-clients-saying-yes/ Brandon Stanton - Humans of New York https://www.humansofnewyork.com/ Brene Brown - Researcher, author, storyteller https://brenebrown.com/ Amanda Trieger, Naturopath https://www.naturopathicwomancraft.com.au/
