For centuries, people have marveled over The Shroud of Turin, The Holy Shroud. On this podcast, we talk to Environmental Scientist Bill Lauto who has had years of hands-on research and data gathering on the famed shroud. Bill talks about his fascination with Shroud of Turin from an early age, and into his later years as a scientist. The Shroud of Turin, also known as the Holy Shroud, is a length of linen cloth bearing the negative image of a man. Some describe the image as depicting Jesus of Nazareth and believe the fabric is the burial shroud in which he was wrapped after crucifixion. Mr. Lauto goes into the scientific evidence and painstaking detail that what lead him to believe this is in fact the cloth that encased the resurrected Christ, Jesus. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/joe-malerba/message

"Humility is the ability to give up your pride and still retain your dignity." "Humility isn't denying your strengths; it's being honest about your weaknesses." "I always say be humble but be firm. Humility and openness are the key to success without compromising your beliefs." Share your talents. There is a difference between humility and being humble. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/joe-malerba/message
Happy are those who take life day by day, complain very little, and are thankful for the little things in life. We are all a work in progress. Our thoughts and actions set the tone for the day, but awareness is key. If we are aware of our negative thoughts, we can work on them, fix them, adjust them, CHANGE them. Keep an open mind and a grateful heart. Remember that nobody is perfect, and second chances DO exist. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/joe-malerba/message
As we send our sons and daughters to colleges and universities all across the country and perhaps the world, know that for us parents it will not be easy. In fact, it will be downright difficult. But that is EXACTLY how it should be. After all, we love them. We have nurtured them, cared for them, and raised them. And now we are expected to just let them go? To spread their wings and fly? Yes. And they will be better for it and so will we. Let's talk about it.
Continue to be that light for others. Never change who you are and the kindness you project to the world. Others will judge you. They may even mock you for your good deeds and good intentions. The critics will always exist. Remain steadfast on your journey to spread kindness. It is true that no good deed goes unpunished, but that doesn't mean we stop doing them.
As humans, we often put a tremendous amount of pressure on ourselves to achieve so much in such a short period of time. To always want more, to be more, to do more. It is important that we take a moment to breathe and reflect on who it is that we are, who we want to be, and ultimately what mark we want to leave on this earth. Join me for a cup of coffee and some reflection. This is the Morning Brew.
Stage and screen performer, and host of a weekly show on Travel.Radio, Sam Kane talks to our very own Joe Malerba about his Little George Book series, his upcoming book, all things radio, podcasts, and life.
