To celebrate the repeal of Section 377 in India and the decriminalization of all sex acts between consenting adults, we're dedicating our first two segments to queer themes. First, Inuth writer Kanishk Singh joins Neha Mathews to discuss director Faraz Arif Anasari's short film Sisak, a silent movie that explores intimacy between two men on a Mumbai local train. Next Siddhant Pandey, Kanishk and Neha discuss their favourite queer characters from movies and shows including Brooklyn Nine Nine's Captain Holt and Rosa, Aligarh's Dr. Siras, Sense 8's Nomi Marks and Amanita and Black Mirror's Kelly and Yorkie among others. Last, our sound producer Joshua Thomas returns for his weekly segment in which he explains what goes into sound design for movies or shows. Today, Joshua explains how sound is used in action movies create an impact.
