On today’s episode, the Association’s very own Matt Dean and Michael Huber discuss how the adult animated Netflix series "BoJack Horseman" does, in fact, tell the story of an anthropomorphic horse named BoJack. But it also has a unique perspective on depression and addiction. And since we are all still spending time at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, now would be a perfect time to binge 6 seasons on Netflix. In addition, Michael Huber courageously shares his own journey with depression and anxiety and why Bojack does such a remarkable job of destigmatizing mental health and addiction. Quick background on Matt Dean, he’s the Association’s brilliant graphic designer and Michael keeps the Association’s IT running smoothly, especially as we all work virtually from home these day. OK, let’s get the conversation started. The Mental Health Download starts...now.

We're gone for two weeks and the whole film and television world turns upside down! We're packin' news on the Batman movie, Scorsese's The Irishman, the Breaking Bad movie, Jurassic World 3, Frozen 2, and that's just to start! There's also Magneto casting rumors, Kevin Feige Star Wars intrigue, a Jason Bateman/Ryan Reynolds Clue movie, Stranger Things: Season 4 announcement, and a farewell to one phony's favorite TV show, Netflix's Bojack Horseman. It's a lot of upcoming stuff but if you aren't interested in at least one of these things, statistically, you don't even exist.
This week, the fellas talk about the wonderfully charming Nicole Byer Podcast "Why Won't You Date Me", the original 90's The Flash Television Series (Available on DC Universe) and Netflix's Bojack Horseman! What should you watch this weekend? Arun George convinces us that the machismo and explosions of Shane Black's sci-fi action movie The Predator is a good two hours of mindless fun. Next, Ektaa Malik discusses how Netflix's Atypical, a show about a teenage boy on the Autism spectrum and his family, broadens its scope for its second season and makes for a compelling watch. Last Shashank Bhargava and Neha Mathews explain why Netflix's Bojack Horseman, a critically-acclaimed adult animated show about a self-loathing humanoid horse, is currently one of the best television shows and wrap up with some more adult animated show recommendations. AFTERBUZZ TV – Bojack Horseman edition, is a weekly “after show” for fans of Netflix's Bojack Horseman. In this episode, hosts Phil Svitek and Andrew Mena discuss Season 4. ABOUT BOJACK HORSEMAN: A humanoid horse, BoJack Horseman -- lost in a sea of self-loathing and booze -- decides it's time for a comeback. Once the star of a '90s sitcom, in which he was the adoptive father of three orphaned kids (two girls and a boy). The show was the hottest thing around, then suddenly, was canceled. Now 18 years later, BoJack wants to regain his dignity. With the aid of a human sidekick and a feline ex-girlfriend who is his agent, he sets out to make it happen. But Hollywood is vastly different from those days, and getting used to stuff like Twitter may take some time. This first animated series from Netflix -- with plenty of references to sex, drugs and alcohol -- is not for the little ones. I'm so happy Dan lets me name the episodes. This week, we have some big news, hit on a bunch of things watched, and tackle our main topic: Marvel's Iron Fist. Despite a few issues, this show far exceeded our expectations based on the early reviews. It holds up. This week's promos: The More Gooder Than podcast came to be during monthly gaming sessions between the three hosts and their friends. Each of them would try to make the others laugh and, most of the time, they succeeded. One of those times, Cory said to Chris and Donnie, "I wish I recorded some of the stuff we say" and the idea for MGT was born. More Gooder Than is a bi-weekly podcast in which we rate and dissect pop culture, one argument at a time. Chris, Donnie, and Cory will each take a stance on a movie, actor, character, episode or whatever else we feel like defending and try to determine whose side is the Most Goodest. After the hilarity concludes, hopefully we'll have both entertained and educated you; at least, educated you on our opinions. You'll be able to listen to each episode on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, this website, and Soundcloud every Wednesdays. Stay Gooder, Home Trees! Now That I'm Older podcast: Now That I’m Older explores the fact that getting old sucks and can be awesome all at the same time. Kenny and Shane also poke fun at the world around us, tell some badass stories and occasionally review some movies. Fart nugget! Caleb recorded off his laptop mic and not his fancy expensive one, so he sounds pretty bad this time.
