We are all on a journey in life. Some days its a struggle, but it doesn't mean it has to be difficult. We are instructed throughout the Scripture how we can approach life and find peace in the midst of the struggles. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6 Jesus told us He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6) and there is peace available through Him (Philippians 4:7). Let go of what is holding you back and take hold of His yoke (Matthew 11:28-30).

Episode 72: Adverse Reactions We all deal with adversity in life. The reality is that Jesus told us we would face troubles in this world; and James reminded us that troubles develop our perseverance. The question is: How well are we handling it? Looking to a few examples in Scripture, we can see what (and what not) to do when it comes to adversity. We will all face it...but let me remind you, how we handle our adversity might be how God gets through to someone else and draws them to Himself.

"Let everyone be in submission to governing authority..." - Romans 13:1a In an earlier episode there was discussion out of Romans 13 about submitting to authority...it was followed by questions I received. 1. What about moral situations? 2. What are we supposed to do if the authority figure is asking us to go against God? I'll address those and recap what Paul means in Romans 13 and discuss our responsibility as Christians in the midst of trying and difficult times. Just know, it may not be easy, or even desirable, to follow the example of Christ and the Apostles.

We try to make ourselves busy, even if it isn't work...we just love to fill the "dead" moments of life with motion. We need those moments of silence in life to get alone with God and spend time...Jesus took the time to speak to the Father in many different circumstances, setting the example for us. We would be wise to follow suit...

EPISODE 67: Let My Words Be Few Irony at its best as words are used to convey the point of not using words... That said, sometimes we should learn to be silent and listen. The Preacher of Ecclesiastes has some great advice for us in chapter 5 about how we should approach life with a fear of God, and much of it can be applied directly to our prayer life. What is God trying to tell us? Maybe we should be silent and listen rather than continue to rattle off foolishly our list of wants... "Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few." - Ecclesiastes 5:3

Why do we seek to change the Word rather than change our stance?
