This week, your super knowledgeable hosts try to pass a quiz about Dollywood (which neither has been to). This leads into the pitching of attractions for MTP based on Dolly Parton's "Jolene", the absolute perfect song to be immortalized in a theme park. First up, Jim invites guests into the mind of Dolly as she dreams of confronting Jolene, who may or may not be an eldritch horror. Meanwhile, Scottye takes the OppAtt formula of using Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and turns it completely around. Also, be sure to check us out on WDWNT's Ride Rehab podcast as part of a two-parter about "fixing" New Fantasyland. The first part drops on 6/9 at WDWNT.com

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is a video-game-inspired ride at Walt Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom theme park.
This week we head on over to the Magic Kingdom and Tomorrowland for some Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. Sorry about some of the camera work but I could not pass up playing while filming. I have to say I am impressed with my final score (which I will not spoil for you) as I had the camera in left hand and my right hand controlling the spinning as well as shooting. Maybe one day I will do a BLSRS tips episode so you can learn where to aim to get those huge scores.

This week I continue the TOV Family Vacation and take the Vacation Munchkins on the Jungle Cruise and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin with a tiny segment from the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway tossed in for good measure! Two Notes: 1. The compression went wonky for the first coupla minutes, because I'm working on the "save the date" cards for the TOV Wedding, I wasn't able to go back and re-encode the show. It gets better as the show goes on, I promise! B. First person who can tell me the inspiration for the intro wins a prize!
Fifty years ago on July 17th, 1955...history was made. Even if you're only a casual fan of theme parks, this is the week to pay tribute to a man who had enough imagination to turn a California Orange Grove into "The Happiest Place on Earth". This week, CoasterRadio.com celebrates Disneyland's 50th Anniversary and pays tribute to it's founder, Walt Disney. To help us celebrate, we'll be joined by Eric Jacobson, Senior Vice President of Creative Development for Walt Disney Imagineering. Eric is responsible for directing project teams developing ideas, design, content, art direction and area development for the Disneyland Resort in California, as well as the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios, sports and recreation, and other entertainment venues at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Most recently, his teams have focused on many attractions opening as part of the "Happiest Celebration on Earth" for Disneyland's 50th anniversary. Eric's creative leadership has shaped numerous projects, including Stitch's Great Escape, Mickey's PhilharMagic, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. In addition, he has equally influenced development of many additional projects for Walt Disney World Resort. Also on the show this week... our "Great Debate" segment will ask - what is the greatest Disney theme park attraction of all time? You can get into the debate by visiting our on-line forums. We'll also have another clue for the SOUNDWAVE contest and we'll play a special Disney-related version of Theme Park Trivia. It's all coming up on this week's special episode of CoasterRadio.com.
