It's time for us to revisit the ever-growing list, The Greatest Song In The World! On this month's submissions, both Adam and Mike submit anthemic rock operas that could tear down stadiums with just the powers of their oozing charisma and emotional resonance alone! And not only that, but we share two songs submitted by our listeners - one is a fun look back at jovial post-hardcore music from the late 00s and the other is a stand-alone single about loss from one of our favorite current song-writers. Thank you for hanging out with us and allowing us the opportunity to discuss and share some amazing songs that we hope you will enjoy as well! At the height of the emo craze of the mid-2000s, Melbourne, like many other major cities around the world, was home to its own thriving emo music scene. With dedicated nightclubs like Next and Bang, a dearth of live music venues and independent music stores, being an emo in Melbourne did not make you an outsider - unless you were one of those creeps who liked to spend time on the Flinders St steps. With acts like Closure in Moscow, Carpathian and The Getaway Plan, being an emo in Melbourne gave you access to incredible local talent, as well as the international touring artists they would inevitably support. Time traveling babes... dimension hopping heroes... dinosaurs at war with system jumping surfing cyborgs... and of course the ever present Brahmatron... These are the kinds of things you can expect to encounter when you drink the Alchemist's Pink Lemonade. Be careful though. If you seek quick fixes, then you may just be a Fool... Seriously though, guys, this album slaps. Christopher de Cinque the lead vocalist of Closure in Moscow and fellow DGD fan joins us from across the globe to waste some time on a lazy Sunday morning. We really had fun with this one. If you are a first time listener this is a great one to start with! Chris was an amazing and hilarious dude. We talked about what it was like touring with the DGD lads, writing for Jonny Craig, and working in the studio with DGD's favorite producer Kris Crummett. Chris tells us about the late 00's and early 10's high note arms race, his approach to writing music, explains the relationship between bands and the people on the production side of an album, and.... Oh yeah! They are working on a NEW ALBUM. If you haven't listened to Closure in Moscow yet I guarantee you will love them. First Temple is one of Rob's favorite Albums and Pink Lemonade is one of Shane's all time favorites @ us and let us know your favorite. Mansur Zennelli is one of the guitarists in the progressive rock band, Closure In Moscow. If you haven’t heard this band and you are into kick-ass riffs, songs and great progressive rock, check them out now.I first discovered Closure In Moscow around 9/10 years ago and when their Pink Lemonade record came out I was hooked. I also saw them live at The Garage in London a few years ago which was awesome. That gig sadly ended with them being robbed of their passports and then they played next to the terrorist attack that happened at The Bataclan, which left them ending their tour shortly thereafter. But you will hear Manny talk more about this in the interview. It was awesome talking to Manny and despite the lag due to the distance between Melbourne and London, I hope you will like this interview too.In this interview, we spoke about:• Writing Pink Lemonade and taking a different direction from First Temple• Being independent vs signing to a record label• How they achieved the heavy guitar tones of That Bhramatron Song• What young bands should be on the lookout for when signing a record deal• Being robbed of their passports after their gig at The Garage• Then playing in Paris at the same time as the terrorist attacks happened at The Bataclan• Dealing with anxiety• The sacrifices they had to make to get where they are today• Having a job to support yourself and your music• New music coming from Closure In MoscowCheck out Closure In Moscow here:Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4I1DvdLsieFgvgYbr8NRfh?si=BdLCH5IfR6KKY7eqBeL-LwFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/closureinmoscowInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/closureinmoscow/Website: http://www.closureinmoscow.com/►► Join The Audio Tribe To Get Exclusive Access To Interviews, Private Q&A’s And Live Streams: https://www.youraudiosolutions.com/exclusive-access

Lance and Christopher start the conversation with Christopher's last show with Sun System at Rogue Bar. They talk about Lance's move to a new apartment and their new "studio." Lance attributes his real-life hashtagging to Iliza Schlesinger. He also talks about his recent adventures seeing the comedian, Bryan Callen, at Stand Up Live in Phoenix, as well as the Waking Up podcast with Sam Harris at Comerica Theatre. Christopher talks about his recent experience seeing Adam Carolla and Dennis Prager live at Grand Canyon University and getting out of your echo chamber. They take a turn into the #metoo movement because of both live shows (Sam Harris and Adam Carolla) discussing the issue. Christopher asks the question if you can separate an artist's personal life from their art, which leads to a startling discovery of a certain album Christopher owns. The boys then discuss their recent outing to a Sumac concert and leaving before Converge. The end the conversation by talking about upcoming shows they are attending, which include Closure In Moscow, Soft Kill, Phantogram and Tycho, Between the Buried and Me and The Dear Hunter, as well as one of their greatest influences, Godspeed You! Black Emperor. They round out episode two with recommending the bands Ghastly City Sleep and Bear Success. Steve from Closure In Moscow chats to Heavy Magazine before they head out on the road with Mew.
Chris de Cinque has special, cheeky, verbose way about him. He's a born performer orator and novelty magnet. He also sings in the proggy, deep-diving satire-soaked band Closure in Moscow. If you think it’s not possible to write an insightful, mystical rabbit hole of a concept record that grapples with grandiose themes like enlightenment, metamorphosis and transhumanism all while maintaining a deep sense of fourth-wall-breaking satire complete with boner noises, Closure in Moscow's critically acclaimed opus, Pink Lemonade will prove you deeply wrong. head to midwestreal.net for a full write up and links!
