In this episode of the Blessed Beyond Measure Podcast, Dajah Stokes shares her heart breaking yet incredible story. If the word "resilient" was a person, it would be Dajah! She's gone through so much that it's hard to believe and she remains such a giving and radiant person who holds a lot of positivity and optimism for the experience of life! How does she do that you ask? Find out in this awesome episode! Dajah Stokes was born into a protestant community which when looking back at it now, she considers to be a cult. The community she was born into was headed by her grandfather who she describes as highly influential with a "silver tongue". She describes the terrible experiences she had to go through at such a young age and how she got out of it. Her story of resilience is truly incredible and she's got a lot left to write! Dajah and I first connected in one of the most unexpected ways - through a game I play on my phone (Words With Friends). We began getting to know each other and in doing so, I realized she would be someone who could provide great value by sharing her story. We get into a wonderful conversation about the goodness of life and its natural beauty, the profoundness, rareness and uniqueness of life itself, the power of random acts of kindness, the natural trauma and turbulent moments of life, some of the terrible things she's had to survive and how she can remain such a hopeful, giving and loving person. I hope you all enjoy this episode and for me, I realized how fortunate I was in so many areas of my life after hearing Dajah share some of the awful things she had to endure. Hopefully it can spark more gratitude in your life because it sure did for me! Dajah does not have any social media outlets to connect with but if there are any messages you want to relay to her, please feel free to do so through me. Thank you for the continued support! Please be sure to share this video with as many people as possible and make sure to like, comment and subscribe to the channel if you haven't done so already! Dajah grew up in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, Oklahoma (popularly called Black Wall Street) more than 100 years after it was burnt down. She shares her perspective on reparations to the African American community; answering questions like is reparations needed? In what form? and who should qualify. Please note that the case for reparations is such a complex subject matter (one that a podcast episode cannot fully address). We simply try to understand the issue a little better and proffer solutions based on our perspective.

Siegs, along with his wonderful wife Dajah, went to Albuquerque, NM. He borrowed Keith’s handy-dandy digital recorder and set up a makeshift studio in the kitchen of Ira and Robin. They all drank and shouted at the microphones for hours. This is part 1 of what will soon be considered a mistake.
