Trail running is very popular these days and Ultra trail running and challenging oneself is even more popular. When Tim McDonough contacted us and wanted to set up a podcast episode or as I like to call it these days " Podclass", I knew this was going to be a good one. We learn a lot from these six gentlemen; in part 2 we pick up where we left off. We learn more about what makes Ultra trail running such an unforgettable experience. Everyone has different reasons for doing these but the satisfaction of finishing is simply the best. So much information packed into this episode we believe you will love listening to and may even want to try your first trail run or race. There are tons of events in the Maritimes this year, why not look one up, maybe one we discuss near the end, and try it out? Nature and a challenge, why not.Motivate to Moves email, let us know who we should interview:motivatetomove.podcast@gmail.comOur Facebook page, check us out:https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100041607699495As always, please give the gift of life, donate blood today:

This week in the studio a veteran of the United States Army. His career spanned 4 deployments into combat. 2 of those to Afghanistan, 2 to Iraq in a 4 year time frame. In the same time frame this guest competed in the Best Ranger competition ranking a fantastic 5th and 8th place overall. After life in the service this guest worked as a contractor with Blackwater Worldwide, but looked for purpose and found it in Professional Mounted Cowboy Shooting. This guest quickly gained popularity, placings, and sponsors such as Black Rifle Coffee, Oakley, Quick or Dead, and Safariland. My guest is interested in anything that increases his Lethality, but he also believes in the motto “You need to take your time in a hurry”. This week we find out what that can mean for your life and hear his amazing story. Please welcome Drew Wallace, Also Known As “The Ranger Cowboy”.
After a series of deployments and time spent in Ranger Battalion, Drew Wallace started down the path of a style of shooting many of us are familiar with from movies, myths, and legends, one combining the skills of horsemanship and marksmanship into a fast-paced heritage and sport. Described as a Western Speed Equestrian Sport, Drew Wallace Competes in Cowboy Man and Shooting, and we cover the history of the style, how it translates to the type of shooting familiar to Ranger Battalion, and how he got started. While we are actively seeing modern Gun Culture expand into activities like overlanding, the style of shooting that Drew Wallace participates paints the Marksman as something built into the history of Americana. A window into how what was once old is new again, the concept of an Armed Populace may have gone through a season of shadow, but is hopefully returning to the norm. I'm joined by Drew Wallace in this episode. Drew is a former Army Ranger and now a Cowboy Mounted Shooter. Drew and I discuss his initial interest in the rodeo/ranch lifestyle. How that hardwork mentality carried over into him joining the military and ultimately becoming an Army Ranger. Drew then shares his post military journey to find his place, which turned out to be the cowboy shooting world. We had great discussions in this one ranging from his story, fatherhood, masculinity, and life. Drew is crushing it, and I encourage you to go check out what he's doing.
